Oxford can't buy a win and we are still above them. West Brom are sinking fast amd have played the new manager card badly. Portsmouth have a small squad, injuries and still in the mire. Likewise Charlton although they've got a bit more fight about them. Plus Norwich are on the up but not out of the woods either. Realistically think it is 30% us, 30% Portsmouth, 25% West Brom, 15% Charlton. Incidentally this is no endorsement of the owners, manager or team who are all varying levels of abysmal. It is not beyond the realms of possibility that the owners of Oxford, Pompey, Charlton and WBA , want their respective clubs to stay up ! Ours don't ! 6 Quote

Popular Post davulsukur Posted 19 hours ago Popular Post Posted 19 hours ago In the last 2 games we've looked every inch of a relegated team. Calamitous at the back, nothing but Sonny in midfield and no attacking build up play whatsoever. Manager just sat with his head in hands, being as totally fucking useless, as the clowns above him. Venkys, Pasha, Ismael, Gestede, Owen all deserve this relegation but we don't. Absolutely sick to death of these owners, just fuck off. 10 Quote
simongarnerisgod Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago at the start of the season i thought there would 4/5 teams worse than us and we`de survive,it`s not working out that way,the others teams have a desire to stay up,i doubt our players have it Quote
RevidgeBlue Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago The only hope (and I dont place much store by it) is that Gudjohnssen comes back and him and Jorgensen score a few goals between them. The midfield is absolutely dire as well. (Sorry all you Tronstad fans) Defence hasnt been that bad considering apart from the last 3 games. Need to get back to that. Quote

The defence look shocking to me now. Bereft of confidence and prone to shipping soft goals. Im afraid we have seen the last of the clean sheets for the foreseeable. Quote

Ghost7 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Rovers fully deserve relegation this year, that's the only thing that will make it easier. You can't run a club this way and get away with it. 2 Quote
Bbrovers2288 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The almost funny thing is that should/when we go down, 90% of the squad will believe that league 1 is below their ability and try and move on, especially the imports we have taken this season despite their ability being very much league 1 - and below. We don’t have and Charlie mulgrew types in the team. Like I said at the start of the season and was met with criticism, it’s a very unlikeable and distant squad with the fans. Literally none seem to hold much affection with the club and it’s a team of individuals 1 Quote

Rest mercs/individuals, except the academy lads. I don't believe Val has the ability to build team morale for a second 1 Quote

davulsukur Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Once we are relegated (and we will be) none of the following will be here, either due to getting the wage bill down, they hold some value or will want to leave: Gudjohnsen Alebiosu Tronstad Cantwell Mori Toth Miller Picks (assuming he's still here) Ribeiro (assuming he's still here) Pears Hedges (out of contract) TGH (not signed, end of loan) Baradji (not signed, end of loan) Cashin (end of loan) Jorgensen (Can't see him sticking around for League One) Forshaw (out of contract) Tyjon I think the club would look to shift out: Wharton Carter McLoughlin They'll want McLoughlin's wages off the books and Carter and Wharton might be difficult to shift due to injuries Which leaves: De Neve (might get a move back to a low level in europe) Taveres (no ones taking him) Kargbo (no ones taking him) Yuki (someone might take him, but he's been awful for a good while now) Montgomery Garrett Henriksson (might get a move back to a low level in europe) O'Riordan Pratt Litherland Powell Doherty Acheson (assuming he doesn't get picked off by a bigger fish) Michalski Barrett Edmonson (returns from loan) Dlamini That's a squad of 17, pretty much academy players (or dross) which I suspect would be the foundations for our lengthy exile into League One. Wage bill down significantly and pats on the back all round in the circus. Edited 2 hours ago by davulsukur Quote

Am I the only one who thinks that they would get absolutely eaten alive in the third tier? Most of the top list aren't nearly as good as they probably think they are either. The only ones Id be keen to press forward with next season (whatever happens) are Alebiosu, Gudjohnssen Jorgensen, Wharton (if fit) Tyjon, Pratt, Litherland Atcheson Powell. And of course most of the first five would be the first out of the door if the **** hit the fan. Edited 1 hour ago by RevidgeBlue Quote

Either: Gestede, Pasha, Owen & Ismael are all so arrogant/confident/stupid that this situation will be turned around once some players get back, so they genuinely don't think we'll go down. or They just don't care and see relegation as another chance to reduce costs, clear the decks, flood the first team with academy players and essentially become a feeder club to the championship by flogging off our academy players once they've got enough first team experience. 1 hour ago, islander200 said: We gave De Neve 4x his wage at his last club no way we shifting him unless we pay him off Whoever signed that off, needs sacking.
