They are on the EFL board, not the Championship board

They are free to vote on situations which do not directly benefit them

so the board is pointless then if it championship why not just have 5 independent people on the board who aren't employ by any club? not think that's a much better way to have a board who are independent and not to league or club.

for example Parry as Chairman, Birch as CEO and 3 independent people.

What I do find odd is that Rick Parry, who fought to break away from the Football League and form the Premier League, is now EFL chair !

been chair for 6 years

to put forwards points which are of interest to Championship clubs as a whole, i the same way that there are also board members from League 1 & 2 clubs

If something is too independent, it risks becoming out of touch with the people/clubs it is meant to serve

We certainly have moved on from the "no excuses" culture we were supposed to be building under Eustace.

Yes, it was really bad luck that the game had to be called off. But we just have to move on I think. Yesterday, Ismael was moaning about the referee. There has been an absolute shambles surrounding the Lancashire Telegraph. The club seems keen to deflect blame and make out like everyone is against us.

We just need to concentrate on what we can control.

For what it is worth, I feel that the fair result would have been to replay the game from the point it was abandoned/suspended, with as many factors remaining constant as possible (score/number of players, time left to play etc).  And I hope that when a new rule is reached, this is what it is.

agreed here.

You could still have these people but not on the official board for decisions like this

about the lack of penalty decision like most people did post match.

It didnt seem like his hand was in an unnatural position.

But either way, point still stands. Moaning about the EFL, refs, the Lancashire Telegraph, all to deflect from the shit show.

Trust me there were more Rovers fans at Charlton moaning about Ismael that there were moaning about the referee.

He made a big thing about the referee allegedly 'winking and laughing' at Cantwell. I think this was simply a deflection tactic from Ismael after a wretched performance.

If they have a complaint about what the referee had supposedly done then that should go through the official channels and not the media.

You are on a rampage of trying to defend Ismael no matter what (without committing to saying that you think hes a good manager or that you are totally happy with him) that you ae not really addressing or reading the posts you are replying to in doing so. As seen by your posts about the Ipswich performance in the LT thread which has very little or even nothing to do with the posts you have quoted.

Its not just Ismael. The Lancashire Telegraph stuff has nothing to do with him. The club is being run into the ground and they seem keen to redirect the blame elsewhere at the moment. Ismael is a pretty poor manager but well down the list of problems.

Like I repeatably told you my opinion on Ismael will be judged on results and performances. How many more times do you really need telling but every head coach/manager will complain about penalty decision not given like I just watched Marco Silva has for Fulham.

I agreed with Ismael on the Ipswich game and the EFL were wrong in the decision, you of course won't agree there.

I know. His results have been crap overall.

But again, youve not really addressed the general theme beyond just Ismael to deflect attention away from the dreadful running of the club. Its the EFL's fault, its the refs fault, its the LT's fault.

I think the most bizarre thing is yellow cards standing so players from both teams unfairly have more chance of a ban from accumulating cautions.

I do think we now need to move on but it’s noticeable on social media that some Ipswich fans have a weird obsession with us now

We got 2 good away wins this season and played very well at home to Birmingham where we should have got all 3 points and against Ipswich where we were the better team until the ref called the game off.

I have posted all my opinions on the Ipswich game being called off, the ref role in it, McKenna role in it, the EFL decision plus Elliott Jackson ban from the club, so I have nothing more to add to my opinion
