Tronstad is certainly not performing as he was last season. I suspect its due to a multitude of reasons...some of which may be personal to him and his family. We forget footballers are human beings sometimes. His performances last season give him enough credit in the bank for me, but its sad knowing that he's likely leaving at the end of the season and he probably already knows it. You can appear fine on the outside celebrating a win like he was yesterday, but who knows what's going through his head.

Its a point I have made plenty recently that you got to allow new players time to settle and imagine yourself moving to a new country where you know nobody mainly. 

on Tronstad, I think its was more down to fatigue of 3 games in 7 days

Gudjohnsen's improved came from the start of the second half, his link up better, hold up play and he got the chance he want and got the winner, throughly delighted for him, His confidence will be through the roof now

on your comment on the back 3 balance, changing so much is massive part that from last season but developing partnership takes time, Balance looks fine for me and Wharton wouldn't push up so much like McLoughlin did second half. Why aren't you having Miller?

he got his subs right yesterday and sticking with 3 at the back plus half time kick up the arse clearly worked given we won. He has alot to prove yet here and wins is what is need from him and the players. 

I have told you MORE than once when I will give my view whether its time for a change post Derby game.

There have been loads signed over the last decade for the same purpose but not many actually make it.

Something tells me the turnover and development time is set to be somewhat less these days with fees off 1-3 million being the most likely process.

Venkys aren’t great at all but why VI? He’s had most the squad taken away and given inexperienced players? He’s doing a solid job 🔵⚪️

The squad needs a lot more than that, especially if we are playing this formation long term, dont let one win against another out of sorts team fool you.

We dont have enough centre backs to play a back 4, never mind a back 5. We knew this in the summer, merely loaning back someone in League 1 wont solve it. I dont rate Miller, I think like the majority of our summer recruitment, he probably isnt up to the standard of the league. He is rash, clumsy and has a mistake in him. Wharton is too. We cant keep clean sheets at the moment.

We only have 2 strikers plus Gueye. If you play 2, you need 4. Gudjohnsen should have been full of confidence after scoring v France. He too often is very passive, doesnt stick his body in, almost appears lazy. Lets hope he can kick on but either way, if we want to play 2 strikers, we need 2 more.

Gudjonson did all that and more in the first half on Tuesday, everything good we did came through him, but you failed to see/acknowledge it. His  ball for the goal had to be perfect, and was,but you didn't acknowledge that either.

Major mistake taking him and Yuki off, thankfully Ismael learned from his mistake and left them on to see out the victory yesterday .

He got the players he wanted and isn’t doing a great job. Yes we need to give the players the time but still not convinced he’s doing a good job. I hope he proves me wrong, I really hope he does.

well we do have enough to play back 4. 

I don't know why you don't rate Miller. bringing back O'Riordan back would solve this issue and allow us to sign in other positions. 

Also signing 3 or 4 in January is the right way not wholesale changes you want, that for the summer window if youy want to do that

Gudjohnsen was much better second half yesterday and if you didn't see that then I despair with you, Much better from him before he scored. 

I would sign 1 more striker and sell Gueye.

I did acknowledge the very good ball Gudjohnsen put across for the goal midweek. I actually said it was his only positive contribution of the night. Youve just made that up because rather than seeing my opinion as just different to yours, youve boxed it off as me just refusing to veer away from a pre conceived idea of him.

I dont think that Gudjohnsen was good for all of the second half. He definitely seemed boosted for the remaining minutes after his goal and did a couple of good things after that, but up until then, it was his usual performance of not really putting his body in, struggling to hold the ball up, half arsing battles with defenders etc. 

The squad is lacking in a number of areas because recruitment was so poor in the summer. We shouldnt need wholesale changes but we do because a number of the summer signings have failed to meet the standards. Dont let one win fool you after a few days unable to post, we are still bang in trouble, 4th bottom and with lots of issues.

Merely bringing back a young lad on loan in League 1 will not suffice in fixing our defensive issues. We are lacking in both quality and quantity there.

Gudjohnsen got better as the second half went on. In the first half he was hardly ever in the game.
