Never in this world. He’s totally unsuited for any role that requires diligence. A “ strolling player “.

Useless player!

The absolute arrogance of Rudy. It's scary when someone can be so blindly ignorant, grossly incompetent.

How can anyone think we improved during the summer?

Absolutely mental, he can't genuinely have believed the shit he was saying?

womder if rudi and his pals were watching keiler-dunn last night at barnsley, good c/f,better than what we have, scores goals and holds it up well, doubtful barnsley will welcome the approach though and they`re not letting him go on the cheap, which rules us out

I think you are saying what you think will happen as much as anything.

You are also arguing for the sake of it. I said 5, you said 3 or 4 so not much difference.

A solitary striker and no added quality on either side (wing back) would not do much to improve our side which is really poor going forward. 3 strikers (Gudjohnsen out until Feb) would still leave us short. 3 players for 2 positions especially forward ones, I dont get how you think that is sufficient.

No, I have said 3 or 4 in and similar out(for weeks now) plus Garrett and Tyjon for obvious reasons.

I think one striker and one centre defender is the main priority as I have said. Would like to see another centre midfielder who has some creative or can get goals

I think we don't need wing backs signings as we have enough there. Alebiosu, Miller and Litherland for RWB and Hedges, Pickering and Powell for the LWB.

Doesnt prove it for sure. Even if he was seen there, doesnt mean he was scouting that particular player.

But either way, when that account has posted its own "exclusives," they have in the main been fictional. So my scepticism can be understood. Rather than just believing everything.

Always the scepticism with you. He knew Gestede was there watching the Barnsley game, we didn't. Just accept that fact. He hasn't said we are signing that player but looking at him. I would expect us to be scouting players in league 1. Some good quality players at that level.

When he was signed, he was bigged up as a player who could protect the defence if im not mistaken.

Not sure hes scored many goals.

I dont think I would particularly like to see him playing deeper considering how he gave up at one point in the first half last night when running back.

He was signed to be number 8 box to box midfielder.

Can we already remember he is still building his match fitness back up after coming back from Surgery. It was take time.

I find it very worrying, that Gestede was at Barnsley, allegedly looking at a new player last night.

Surely, with his judgement and track record of signing utter dross, he should be no where near the Oakwell.

Define "enough."

Again, comes down to you just listing players. Regardless of quality, or if its their natural position, or if theyve ever played before, or if they are needed elsewhere.

Pickering isnt a natural wing back. Powell has never played senior football. So that just leaves Hedges who doesnt do enough going forward.

Miller is poor on the ball and at crossing, more suited to playing where he is playing. Litherland isnt a natural wing back. Alebiosu is away.

The fact that we are still waiting on Baradji going into the new year probably goes back to my original point about his signing.

He'd be more sensible for our formation, and has been their best player across season looking at ratings.

Russell would've been the other I'd have been interested in, and we were linked in summer. But he didn't play so they can't have gone to watch him.

Barnsley fans don't know why Hourihan won't play him, and only 6 months left, so would be cheap. Interestingly on their forum there were positive references to "big Val".

Plenty on here were excited by the summer.

Chaddy? And maybe 1 other?

Not sure Chaddy would say anything negative about anything the club do.

If true, makes little sense, is a wide forward/winger, right footed, plays on the left, cutting inside, is quick from what I have seen though

Maybe they plan to convert him to a striker, or move back to a back 4 and wingers at the end of this season?

If any other clubs are interested above L1 then he's not coming here. We all know that from experience.

I must admit that I don't see all the fuss about Tyjon.  I've seen him numerous times and come away wondering what other clubs see in him.  Clearly, I'm missing something that others obviously see in him.  It will be interesting to see how his career develops.  Rory Finneran is struggling to get a game for the Under-21's at Newcastle whilst Ash Phillips seems surplus to requirements at Tottenham.

Unless you are an Adam Wharton - a really special talent - I suspect it's very difficult to bridge that gap to the Premier League, particularly as those clubs can go out and spend a fortune on the ready made article.

Tyjon looked out of his depth against Bradford in the Carabao. Far too weak physically to play as a target striker.
