I really dont see them cashing in on Alebiousu so early what would we get for him now? 4 million tops I reckon

He has the potential to be worth far more than that.

Nicko reporting the fee fir Jorgensen is up to £3.5m!

That seems beyond unlikely to me. The only possibility of that is if Balaji has finally looked at the league table this season and fancied dipping in for a 'marquee' signing. More likely it's a loan with a 3.5 mill option, or Nixon is just outright guessing there because of what Glimt paid.

I think it's a really bad look if we sell him this month - looks exceptionally desperate.

However would he fetch THAT much more in summer?

Is it just the cynic in me that thinks that these wouldn't be happening if there wasn't a boycott next week?

Depends if you think these transfer dealings are later than should have been.

They're well overdue according to quite a few on here.

£3.5 million is big money for us

It won't be that much but it doesn't matter, there will be a book balancing exercise before the window is done.

Why would we have to sell him in the summer though? He is under contract and we would still have another year's option on his deal

I think it's very early I just really don't see him going unless a team comes in with a ridiculous offer which I don't see happening. He has had a few excellent months in the championship but its vert early days.

Might have been different if he had seen more minutes for Nigeria and impressed

Good work Mercer. If you're right about this can we assume you're also right about the bid for the club and all is going to be well?

What's this about a bid for the club?

Of a prem team like Everton are genuinely interested he’s gone

Big Merce has potentially had a blinder here. Leaving all other supposed ITK's in the dust.

The skeptic in me will continue to assume the books will be balanced in one way or another before the window closes. Very, very rare that we exit a transfer window with a net positive spend.

Would expect the Toulouse lad to be a loan - maybe putting himself in the window for other English clubs higher up the pyramid, if his missus is playing over here.

If we assume the EUR 3.5m to be inclusive of clauses for the other fella, then potentially the sale of Pickering alongside Gueye might offset the initial cost. The only other player I can think of who would fetch at least £500k and who is clearly out of favour.

If they pay the money and like I said I think at the moment 4 million tops which I don't think we would accept .

So who we getting then?

A striker and winger?

Still woefully short. Think we need a QUALITY ball carrying CM- another winger/wing back and an extra striker.

Basically quality through the middle, wide and up top.  One or two injuries and we're back to square one..
