Absolutely no chance of that coming off. Whilst he is not always a starting player, he is still a vital part of the squad that is top of the league. Why move from a team that's at the top to a team that's determined to be in a relegation fight? 

He cost Coventry £8m and his wages would be fairly high for this division.

Wonder whether the 'bizarre' reference is because it's someone who plays for a local rival. Could end up with that donkey Barnes. Would be the ultimate insult and probably the funniest thing the dingles had ever seen.

Edit - no one senior at the club knows anything about the club so they wouldn't see an issue with approaching that club for a player.

There's no way we've put an offer in for Simms, that's as likely as Ronaldinho and Beckham were in 2010
