I don't think there is a plan to be honest.

We recruited for a back 4 in summer then after poor results stumbled into a back 5.

We have hobbled on for 10-15 game without the squad for it and will now likely recruit for a back 5.

However results with this have been crap so imagine it gets ditched at some point and we then need to recruit for a back 4 again in summer.

The whole setup is clueless.

Do I recall Aberdeen offering to take him on loan?  But only if Rovers carried on paying his wage, and with no loan fee involved?

That being said, they have just sacked their manager.  maybe he brought that up as an idea again, and that was the final straw? 😉

Yes despite the previous success stories of Rhodes, Graham, Armstrong and Sammie they've binned off the only thing they've gotten right at first team level in favour of a 3 for the price of 1 model.

And we are paying the price.

I know he was booed off when subbed recently and judging by the comments they aren't too impressed with him down there.

Gallagher is now available so surely Eustaces ex Rovers obsession will see him at Derby soon.... 🙂

Benefitted from a change in name as well as confidence from such an amazing story.

Seems however he has gone back to the pre Diaz era

Not easy to get rid of him if his current coach doesn't put him in the matchday squad because he doesn't put in enough effort in training. He's looked unfit every game he's come on, and must be a bad egg in the dressing room environment too. Who would take him?

Back then I always told people he was absolutely bobbins, but was just enjoying a purple patch... was fuming that he walked for free after we coulda got a decent few million for him.

ISH - we take the punts who don't qualify for a permit, mandate they play till they do - then sell

We need to get this out of our heads, that getting fees in, is a good thing.

No matter what we bring in from sales, it does not affect the transfer budget for signings, it merely means, the owners have to pay less to keep the lights on.

It is a sad fact of life, but that is exactly where we are.

Indeed. Lets suppose there's truth to this Alebiosu-Everton rumour and it happens. That immediate profit and success will override any results or performances we've had this season. Gestede will be able to point to that alone and state to the owners/finance people that he's delivered on his project, with Gudjonsen to come next.

The fact that results have been appalling, most performances have been appalling, crowds collapsing further, and our Championship status is in danger are irrelevant.
