Be quite interesting to see Baradji for a full half.

Moreshita did nowt.

Quite a good half from us after the first few mins but they cut through us like butter when they're on the attack.

We'll do well to keep this to 0-0.

For as highly rated as he is, he's got a handful of senior minutes. 

Involving him in the match day travelling squad - no doubt he'd be one of the options to fill a bench spot if someone pulled up in the warm ups - is how you'd normally slowly introduce players of his ilk to men's football.

Granted we've just thrown Litherland in at the deep end in an unfamiliar position and we've apparently completely sacked off Gueye, so I'm hardly claiming he's a man managing savant.

A fairly good first half, we do seem to lack a bit of pace, and our first touch could be better, still run on second half

Good first half. Both sides had good chances. 

Henriksson and Ohashi both had good chances. Boro had 2. 

Only negative is Morishita's injury

I'd hope they're similar to our fans on here - overrating the chances they give up and underrating the chances they've created.

It's been a very even game. They're better at passing than we are, but we've created the more clear cut chances with our counter attacks.

Very decent first half from Rovers, a little wasteful from Ohashi. Seems like he needs a lot of chances to score one, good energy from him as always but cant seem to finish. Cantwell all over the pitch, winning fouls and creating chances. 

Boro seems to be out of sorts but still creating plenty of chances. First half's game plan for Rovers is good so far!

Good Boxing Day fare, end-to-end stuff. We’ve had way more possession high up the pitch than usual due to Hendriksson being really involved and good play down both flanks as Boro are quite narrow. Ohashi was terrible when put through, all 3 touches were abysmal, the first two making him take a zig-zag route then a scuffed shot.

I wish he didn’t miss gilt edge chances as well. That effort was truly woeful, he went from having a clean run on goal to putting it on his weaker foot and then trying to shoot from distance, shocking !

He didnt get beaten, the guy hit the outside of the post. If you were being pedantic you could say Pears got his angles exactly right.

I think Pears has been excellent so far today his positioning has been spot on throughout.

Hope it continues in the second half, we're likely to need it.

A pleasing half to be honest. Lots of effort, poor finish from Ohashi and maybe a better pass possible from Cantwell to Henriksson could have had us two goals. They look strong on the break.
