Barnsley apart, he really hasn't.

So he’s at least one up on Gueye?

Nah, he’s not. Ismael has proven he can actually manage football teams. Gueye has been a petulant underachieving child everywhere he’s been employed. Ismael’s problem is he’s doing exactly as he’s told - a yes man who is allowing Pasha and Gestede to run a football club neither are qualified for.

When will he start doing this? He’s been here for 11 months.

Can he?

He got Barnsley in the playoffs on the back of the work of the previous manager - as any Barnsley fan will tell you

At every other club he's flopped - lasting an average of 7 months at each (and we gave him a 3-year contract - why???)

Unless he's sacked asap I think Rovers are going down to the third division

I think we finish where we are now.

Finishing just above the bottom 3 with a squad that is apparently better than the one that finished 7th last season isn’t acceptable so he should be sacked for that in my opinion.

What did you bet on?

I lost £40 repeatedly backing the current score on Betfair. Goals kept going in as I was about to lay it off.

Some bet builders with over 6 corners and over 2 cards plus the draw when we were losing, and one 2 quid one on just the draw. Wasn't a big outlay, 12 quid which netted £64.70...but I had some other bets that didn't come in (including a couple more on the same but over 7 corners), so about 40 up overall.

I miscalculated earlier actually on how much that extra corner not coming in would have won me...would have been another £58.70 (on 9 quid of stake)! I'm recently discovering bet365 are a little generous on their bet builders. Rovers games usually have over 7 corners and 3+ cards. A lot of games seem to be about 10 corners and 4 cards.

That’s the only thing that will cure diving. Ban them from the next game. It’d be cured within a month.

Wilsden has shown the rule stating it is in place, but only for if it results in the dismissal of a player or a penalty. The main problem is it clearly isn't enforced very often.

The only way we're not going down is if another 2 teams are somehow worse than we are, between now and May.

Sheffield are down, so it's a 'shittest' shootout that we are absolutely involved in.
You're not in a false position in January.

It's one thing if you're playing well / unlucky / etc.
But we have no style, no strategy, no plan (or backup plan).

It's pretty dire.

Yet against the top 6 we have 11points

Are you Henry Fonda?!

Gueye is shite, lazy and petulant too

Don't get the reference and I disagree.

Gueye is obviously not happy playing for this particular manager and I can't say I blame him.

Absolutely.

We're not a normal club though and that will never happen.

They will be crowing about this comeback like its some miraculous result for a few weeks now.

There are things Ismael is responsible for; I’m not so sure he can be blamed for the departure of so many of our players at the end of last season. More than anything, that is why we’ve dropped 13 places.

Yeah he needs someone with him up front and not Hendrickson.

We’re really missing Gudjohnson atm

Baradji ? Shown in the few games he's played he's not afraid to have a dip from 25 yards. Got a good leap on him as well, could do worse (Henriksson, no fault of his though)

Very true Mark, mentality in this club absolutely stinks.

I doubt any of them were inspired to stay and fight on under him, they probably saw this all coming and wanted out, so he's partially to blame.

Yep I agree with that.

And I think we might just be a bit better than Charlton/Oxford when Toth is back in goal and Gudjohnsen is back to sniff out a goal.

Hopefully Baradji carries on from today too.

Said since it was clear they wanted to get all of the remaining championship experience out of the door that we would be bottom 6 all season with a 50/50 of going down, seen nothing to change my mind.

I’m fairly confident he had a hand in them all going. He’s the regimes man, otherwise why would he still be in a job. He’s complicit, of that there is no doubt
