i would`nt like to be betting on the rovers manager market,there is so much random **** and gross imcompetence going on behind the scenes at ewood it could be just about anybody,i still think we are in servitude  to agents on the transfer front and the manager appointment will be no different

Im a big fan of DC as we love Initials on here 🤣 .  Dave Challinor as I mentioned before.  Another interesting one as a 2nd choice for me is RK.  RKs doing a cracking job too.  Abroad at Ferencvaros.  Had a good start to management all be it at clubs hes probably expected to do well at is...   Robert Kennedy, Rudyard Kipling, Roy Keane....

No I mean Robbie Keane.

DC & RK both up and coming & ambitious.  Alot of the other names banded about & on the odds list are nt really inspiring me.  I like these two though.

Been strongly linked with the Celtic job in the summer if/when O'Neill finishes.

Great news on Rowett. Sounds like he's going to be offered the job. The best candidate out there for us and is exactly what we need imo. 

Nicko knows far more than Jackson so I know who I believe. And tbf to Jackson, he did post that this morning and things have likely moved on since then (he didnt say he wasn't in the running, just no contact had been made at the time of writing)

Feel for Jackson but he’s so far out of the loop these days, even on deadline day was wrong with a simple story about a player leaving on loan when it was a perm.

I think the club are spiteful enough to ensure he gets the wrong info.

I have a concern for Rowett, will he improve us? Maybe, but I don't think by much.
I suppose he's the best out of a bad bunch, let's hope it's true.

Will be suddenly turn the likes of De Neve and Henriksson into good players? No, of course not.

But he will get us organised and competive. He's far superior to Ismael.

If Rowett is top of our list then I may have to re-evaluate my assessment of the people running the club in that maybe they aren't totally clueless as to what we need, because I think even if he doesn't enthuse you his CV is probably the most suited to our predicament of all the options out there and it would be unusually sensible for our lot to put that first.

I suppose the next question would be whether he would come then. Is he going to sit and be told what he can and can't do by Rudy Gestede? Would he take it until the summer like he did at Birmingham and then see how the land lies? There seems to be an assumption that he would take it, which you would certainly hope he would given his last 2-3 clubs and the manner in which he left Oxford, but he can't really afford to get this next move wrong and I worry he'd tell Rudy and Suhail to 'do one'

Seems to have an impact early in his tenure but then tends to fall away. Would have preferred a short term deal but probably won't happen.

One thing, if it is Rowett it won't be pretty but if it keeps up I'll take it

I think this is the key, he's probably the best out there right now, for the situation we've got ourselves into.

He's probably not the guy to continue the project/journey we're supposedly on.

Indeed, but probably our best chance as a club is to get someone like him in and back him / let him run the show, as it was with Eustace. Because people like Eustace and Rowett will have forgotten more about Championship football than the likes of Suhail and Rudy will ever know.
