1864roverite Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I think youc an safely say that the talking will have already been conducted through his agent Mr Roache. There is nothing to stop Hughes talking directly with his agent who will have acted as a go between. I would expect that if Rovers have agreed to let Huhges take control of the two next matches then the ink will be dry on that contract first thing in the morning if not tonight. Any how whatever happens tonight, tomorrow or Friday, its a massive shoot in the arm for the Rovers players and this should act as a positive for saturdays game. I cannot imagine anyone not wanting to perform as undoubtedly he will be there on Saturday, it may even act as a spur for the home supporters to actually raise a bit more noise.
mac Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Cant believe Id been hangin about all afternoon for that!!! Dunn leaving????
mrsjansen Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I thought we had already interviewed him!?! So getting permission is nothing new.
northernrover Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 shame about Keeley getting injured Right, enough of the jokes and back down to the serious business of listening to ......who the hell is Eddie Carvery?? ........ F*** it. I'm gonna do some work!
grizfoot Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 (edited) Have i got this right Hughes is only in talks and hasn't signed yet. Edited September 15, 2004 by grizfoot
Flopsy Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Dunn leaving???? Yeah he seems to have fallen out with Souness also did you hear about the Titanic sinking? Shocking
Maverick Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Does this mean that the Wales FA are willing to let him go? If we only talk with Hughes, that would mean his personal contract
mrsjansen Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Yeah according to Souness he is a bit of a playboy! According to my sources in the club. It will be in tomorrows telegraph about Dunn. He eats too many pies apparently.
3rdpillar Posted September 15, 2004 Author Posted September 15, 2004 He aien't signed yet has he keeps this topic going for a little longer........ Anyone know the topic with the largerst number of views on this board?
mrsjansen Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 No your all wrong, it's Kidd the new manager. And he is going to bring Grabbi with him as assistant.
USABlue Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 So there is still hope. If we have only just been given permission to speak with him perhaps Mr Hughes will interview poorly and rule himself out.
StroppyMoppy Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Yeah according to Souness he is a bit of a playboy! According to my sources in the club. It will be in tomorrows telegraph about Dunn. He eats too many pies apparently. Dunny a playboy from Great Harwood - Now you're just making things up - He'll never leave Rovers
northernrover Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 F*** it. I'm gonna do some work! LIAR True! Suppose i'll keep hitting refresh every 2nd heart beat instead
mrsjansen Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Yeah according to Souness he is a bit of a playboy! According to my sources in the club. It will be in tomorrows telegraph about Dunn. He eats too many pies apparently. Dunny a playboy from Great Harwood - Now you're just making things up - He'll never leave Rovers Sadly I think he's going. He's having talks with Birmingham. Sounress has decided that Grabbi is a better prospect.
mac Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I heard Dunny wants to leave to pursure a life long ambition of being Tyrones stunt-double in corrie !!
Manchester Blue Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 I thought we had already interviewed him!?! So getting permission is nothing new. As 1864 says we almost certainly will have interviewed him, however without permission. We can't simply appoint him so if we want him we have to ask for permission. Unless the Welsh FA refused there was nothing else the conference could have been about. It should be done and dusted by tomorrow now as Rovers wouldn't have approached the Welsh if it wasn't already a done deal.
MCMC1875 Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 In order to give Mr Hughes the best welcome, how can we silence the drummer(s)?
key76 Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 In order to give Mr Hughes the best welcome, how can we silence the drummer(s)? Surely a whole new thread and lots of time and collective effort should go into that one!!!!
American Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 also did you hear about the Titanic sinking? Shocking Twas an insurance scam.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Would be nice to see this increase in optimism about the club manifest itself into the form of 2-3k more on the gate on Saturday...here's to wishful thinking eh!
Jan Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Well, technically the gate will go up by 1 (I bought my deanocard as soon as I had formal confirmation of Souness going) However, because I'd figured on not going to Rovers much this season I'm away for the next 2 weekends- so will be cheering on from a distance. Does that count??
Ossydave Posted September 15, 2004 Posted September 15, 2004 Well I'll be there and to be honest it's actually the first time in a LONG time I've actually been looking forward to a match
