Always find it easier to follow if I watch a few episodes together. Sean Bean and Stephen Graham are a powerful duo.

Yes, just watched the last episode now. It was good, worth watching.

Amazing.

I didn’t know they plan to revert back. This new system seems to be getting the backing of pretty much everyone as far as I know. I can’t imagine why they would want to revert back. Div2 is a league for the also rans.

My mate’s flown out to Porto this morning. The club are paying for the city fans’ flights. Very nice gesture. -

An Open Letter to the Desai Family...

The “fans groups” that are regularly discussed on here are only as strong as the number of fans they can attract. When one of these groups, - or even all of these groups if they got together, could fill a room of at least hundreds - if not a thousand or more fans for what are seen to be the critical issues facing the club, then they have, in reality, very little influence IMO. Is there any evidence that merging together would gain them more following? At present I doubt it. Waggott will listen to them and possibly follow through on some of their suggestions, but as for being able to put real pressure on the club, as I say they need to show to the club that they have real backing of thousands of fans. Until then, these groups, while attracting some support, will still be open to public criticism via social media in particular. Size is important. Getting enough fans onside and in one frame of mind is so difficult. I don’t have an answer. -
I had it in my head that Roland* Horrey was a forward TS. Maybe not though. It’s 56 years ago. * think his name was Roland. I saw him play quite a number of times for the reserves.

Isn’t that the exact opposite way to success? surely it should be the aim to have a squad of experience and know how, supplemented by the Academy? To supplement kids with freebies and loans can never work.
-
Matching expectations to their abilities. I love that. That’s exactly what they’re doing. What he’s saying, is that as long as the players work hard, that will do for him and the fans really shouldn’t expect anything else. I would say if a manager is happy with that, he shouldn’t be managing anywhere.
-
So where was the untold amount of money coming from for the state of the art Academy? I doubt it was even discussed.
-
The end of term report? Abysmal. Fancy, complicated, baffling tactics thrown onto a squad completely unable to carry them out. What has anyone seen from him that even suggests he might know what to do about? I haven’t seen anything for a long time now that suggests that anybody at the club can turn it around. Where does that leave us? Why should the fans back them? I’ve never known a situation like this before.

👍 Yes, we’re both (all) on the same wavelength. There seems to be a push towards more fan involvement and more scrutiny on the owners. - which would be brilliant. The bigger clubs will push back against that I’m sure. Why? Because fans should be seen and not heard in their ideal money driven world. I would love it to happen though. -

In my mind, if there is no promotion or relegation and the same teams play each other year in, year out, all the games are show games. The only thing they’re trying to do is attract the money. Nothing else. It’s not in any way a competition, is it? -

What the American owners in particular want, is the ability to stage show matches around Asia. They really don’t want any competition. They don’t want competitive football of any type. They simply want to sell their brand for as high a price that they can, to anyone who will pay it. -
Someone tell me how this situation now, isn’t exactly the same situation we were in with Kean? Comparisons are valid in my opinion. I never believed we would be in that position again.

Yep. North End. Nowhere near where they were two seasons ago, when Mowbray thought we couldn’t compete with them. Theyre now a poor side but still above us. Is this the journey? -
