  1. If he doesn’t know when he’s making mistakes then he can’t ever fix them. If he does know then be honest about it. That doesn’t mean come out publically every time, but be honest at least to the players. I doubt very much that he does that, but for certain the players will be questioning his tactics.
  2. As an aside, seeing Pickering as the Rovers goal scorer raised the hairs on the back of my neck. Surreal.
  3. Mowbray has a fundamental problem in that the team ships 2 goals on a very regular basis. The likes of Warnock or virtually any other top championship manager would make it their first priority to stop that. Quite obviously Mowbray can’t do that. It’s not as though he’s not had long enough, is it! If he can’t do that he shouldn’t be managing any club.
  4. In case you’re interested, Channel 4 are showing the USA women’s open final tonight at 8pm. It’s also on Amazon Prime tv.
  5. I remember him hitting viciously inswinging corners on a low trajectory just under the crossbar with pace , that caused keeper and defenders real problems. Obviously there was no room for error. His critics picked up on the errors.
  6. It shows the difference between a CEO who listens to fans and “understands” them - and one who doesn’t have a clue. John Williams worked tirelessly trying to get fans into Ewood Park, that was a very big part of what he tried to do, while Waggot seemingly doesn’t even consider the effects of his policies on the fan base. He doesn’t have a scoobys. There’s no future for rovers under Waggot.
  7. My thoughts as well Arbitro. Truth is though, all the top clubs will be well aware of him and his situation. I don’t think they’ll need Mowbrays help at all.
  8. Yep, but still so frustrating how we completely collapsed from a decent position.
  9. You could well be right. and nobody cares.
  10. Kohl’s gone. Must say I like Robinson. Accurate in line and length, moves it in the air and off the pitch. Always threatening. I can see him being in this England team for a long time.
  11. That got harder as the innings went on. I fear for Lancs here. It’s not enough.
  12. Didn’t get to see much of England’s innings, but Hameed should have been caught in the slips when he reached his 50. Would love to see him go on and cement that opening slot for himself but he’s got a long way to go yet. His test average isn’t bad though so far at 33. 😊
  13. 78 all out. Now for England….!
  14. If it’s losing football, it’s bad football. However you go about winning a game you must be doing plenty right. Losing is different because you can lose games with doing hardly anything right.
  15. At one time I would have found that exciting. Now under Mowbray and chums it fills me with fear. Why should that be, does it happen to fans of any other club?
  16. A draw? I wish. This is a really dark day. Batting wise take Root out of this team and currently there’s nothing. Where do England’s selectors go from here?
  17. That’s because Waggott and Mowbray between them have turned this small town club whose best days are past it, which definitely can’t compete with giants such as PNE, which wants - not needs to sell part of a superb academy site for housing and which is happy to employ a failing manager and CEO no matter how bad results on the field are. Most footballers whether moving permanently or on loan like to think they are going somewhere with at least a bit of ambition. Why the hell would they currently choose BRFC?
  18. Shame it stopped after 30 mins. I could listen to Souey all night. There are a small number of people in some sports, who I sit upright and listen to and Souness is pretty near the top of that list. I know Dunny won’t like it but he HAS been there and done it all. The appealing thing about Souey to me is that he’s genuine and he’s as honest as they come. He holds your attention when he talks. Thanks for posting the link for the interview.
  19. The price tag doesn’t prove anything about their ability - which is nowhere near good enough Gav. You can’t defend your way to mid table. IMO, if Mowbray can’t find two forwards that can score 30 goals between the two of them I doubt we will finish mid table. Better hope Dack comes back and works miracles.
  20. After everything you’ve seen in your time Bazza, this must break your heart.
