The figures never seem to add up to me. We know that a winding up order was threatened in April was because they had missed Tax payments. I believe they were already on a 'plan' because of previous missed payments. Presumably, they have now caught up with HMRC payments for last year and it may have taken a fair proportion of the £11 million to do so ? So maybe the reported £20 million per year has been masking the HMRC shortfalls? What really annoys me is the arguments given for being allowed to make that £11 million payment - preserve investment and avoid damage to their reputation - nothing mentioned about preeserving a historical sporting institiution that is so important to the community. Any investment they have made has already gone - simple as that. So the key factor to Venky's is their own reputation! Here's hoping the judge does us all a favour this time around

There is always the chance that the financial investigations have uncovered more evidence since the last hearing. There were objections to the ruling last time, I'm sure there will be this time also.

You may have known about it but I would guess 99% of Rovers fans didn't. The MoU between the club and the Trust requires the club to be open about important financial issues. This winding up order falls into that category and has never been disclosed by the club. It feels like important news to me.

All clubs need 3rd / 4th choice players for obvious reasons. Our 5th / 6th choices are not good enough for the championship. From a footballing perspective, we cannot afford to lose Travis from the squad. He should be told to fight for his place. He will probably be 3rd/4th choice at Ipswich too but they obviously see the benefits of experienced squad players

Hopefully very few, if any. The club is probably running with a minimal number of staff as it is. They will still needed post admin. Suhail would go - that would save a big wage allow retention of necessary staff. Waggott could be replaced with a more effective but less expensive CEO.

This is the model used by league 2 clubs out of necessity. I can't bring myself to discuss results, tactics, players, managers, squad size, squad experience etc. as it is essentially pointless. The current dire situation on all fronts are symptoms of a single problem. A very simple root cause analysis points to Venky's in every single case. The long term future of the club is grim unless there is a change at the top. Protest and survive

I know what you say is correct, they have a finite number of shirts to sell, but this makes no business sense - please don't buy our stock because we will run out! They should follow the laws of supply and demand like all other businesses - sell as much as possible as quickly as possible and then re-stock. If the manufacturers can't provide this flexibility then change manufacturers.

I was very disappointed with our approach to the game last night. I always think we should play our strongest team in the latter stages of a cup no matter who the opposition is . Markanday, for example, was never going to have an impact against Chelsea and it gives the impression from the off that we are not too serious about trying to win the game. Our only chance against a team so much better and bigger than us is to get stuck in, get them rattled and hope they get riled and make mistakes. I thought Travis and Garrett may have been picked to do this but they hardly put a tackle in. We were never going to outplay them but we insisted in trying to play out of defence and it never transitioned into a serious acting threat and eventually gifted them a goal. We need to be much more direct sometimes as with Leonard 's chance and the goal at Millwall. Not disgraced at all last night but I don't think we ever had enough belief in ourselves and I think the manager needs to work on that.

I hate Venky's and hope they get their comeuppance. Happy for the relevant authorities to know that

Venky's have been bad for the club since they showed up. There is no real positive outcome either way. If they leave they may well keep the training ground for a future sale which would be a massive blow. If they stay longer we will suffer a continued, lingering decline and eventually see them disappear - probably along with the training ground. Best all round if they go now and we start the recovery from whatever situation they leave us in.
