  1. You made a point the other day of saying that West Brom weren’t down when Moore took over. He took over in April when they were TEN points off safety. They actually went unbeaten for the whole of April and he got manager of the month. Don’t think anyone would have been able to keep them up last season so to hold that against him is harsh for me Chaddy. They’ve not made a great start this season but without spending much it was never going to be easy in such a competitive league. He’s got time to turn it round yet.
  2. For the most part Armstrong hasnt been great out wide but he at least has pace and a bit of trickery with the ball at his feet. Brereton for me should be playing up top or not at all.
  3. With his shameful remark to our travelling fans before a pre season friendly as well as his generally inconsistent sub par performances since signing, if we’d have sold him before the season started I’d have been pleased. He’s completely proven me wrong so far this season though, absolutely run his bollocks off every game and at times he’s looked really tidy on the ball. One of our best players so far this year for sure. Always nice to be proven wrong!
  4. Not for me, either start him up top or don’t start him. Having him wide right is like playing with 10 men, if he shows enough off the bench over the next few games to warrant a start ahead of DG then fair enough, but please god don’t put him on the wing.
  5. Yes it will be extremely interesting too see what formation Ipswich line up with. I can’t quite contain my excitement, I’m putting my money on the Mike Bassett Christmas pudding formation...
  6. Has today changed your opinion on Palmer at all Chaddy? I said yesterday he needed to feature today and he was very lively. One of our best players today I thought.
  7. Classic Mercer FFS ??‍♂️
  8. Palmer played well against Bolton and it was his run that started the move that led to our goal, shame he’s not been involved since. I’d like too see him get some game time on Saturday for sure. Strange that in Chaddys first team selection he doesn’t even have Palmer on the bench! He’s one of the few players in our team who can actually play wide behind the front three rather than being someone who’s main position is somewhere else on the pitch. Justice for Palmer, give the lad a start
  9. Worst possible result for us they’ll be desperate to bounce back on Saturday and you just know that the dingle Jay Rod is going too score against us! Going to be a really tough game for us. 4 very winnable games coming up after this one for us though so I’d snap your hand off for a point at the Hawthorns, I’d like too see Rothwell and Palmer get some game time, be good too see Dack a bit more involved than he has been the last few games too. I know he scored against Bolton and you cant knock that but he’s been pretty quiet overall in the games against Leeds, Sheff Utd Bolton and latterly on Tuesday night against Swansea. Maybe I expect too much of him, or maybe all the transfer talk has had an impact on him. ?
  10. Not sure if this has been posted on here yet or not but it’s a good watch. Dacky against the Bulldog!
  11. We travelled down the day before and got beat, it’s over. No conspiracies here. Let’s hope we travel down to West Brom today just to avoid any more confusion
  12. We travelled down the day before, I saw something on Conways Instagram on Monday and it looked as though he was on the team bus.
  13. It’s hard to say what Brereton’s strengths are as we haven’t seen him upfront yet, but we can all safely say he doesn’t have the attributes required to play out wide!
  14. Chaddy I watched the game on the red button tonight and for me Brereton again showed he can NOT play out wide. Why aren’t we giving him a chance up top, for me either play him up top or not at all. Do you not agree? And I’m not having it that TM likes a wide target man and that is why Brereton plays there because of his goal scoring record also. He’s not even a target man type of player from what I’ve seen and the best chance the lad has of improving his goal scoring record is too be given a chance in his preferred position. We paid big money for him, with every 30 minute cameo we see of him struggling on the wing the more his confidence will be affected and the more fans will scrutinise him. Give the lad a chance up top or don’t play him at all because he is no use to the team out wide! It’s still early days, I hope he gets a chance to play upfront and I hope he proves himself.
  15. Wonder why he looks devoid of confidence when he’s having 20/30 minute cameos out wide where we can all clearly see he’s not suited to playing at all. Feel for him a bit too be honest, Give the lad a chance upfront or just don’t bother playing him. Very frustrating.
  16. That would be my team maybe even bring Rothwell in too, so disappointing to throw that away tonight. I love you Mowbray but if you’re going to play Brereton, either play him up top or don’t play him at all!! Must be absolutely ruining the lads confidence having to play in a role he’s not used too out wide. Whether he’s good enough or not remains to be seen but at least give him a chance in his proper position. Feel a bit sorry for the lad.
  17. Come on boys, we held on at Bolton let’s do the same here tonight. If we can show we can hold a lead then we’ll have improved from the start of the season. 2 points off the top as it stands, what a phenomenal start to the season (hope I haven’t spoke too soon) COYB!!!
  18. He did well, really? It was probably the best we’ve seen of him so far but still, he did okay at best yesterday. Still unconvinced but it’s way to early to make a judgement on him yet, he clearly needs more game time..
  19. He did “very decent”? Think you’re flattering him too much there Chaddy. Today was definitely the best he’s done so far for us but he still wasn’t great. He did okay at best. Hopefully he can keep getting better with every game though, the lad needs a goal desperately.
  20. Haha I’m a pretty chilled forgiving sort of guy usually, but when it comes to the crooks that own our football club they make me angrier than JAL the time he bumped into Nyambe in Starbucks.
  21. #VenkysOut Always and forever. It should never ever be forgiven or forgotten what they’ve done to our club.
  22. FFS. Williams can do a job in centre half but if one of him and Lenihan were to get injured too we’d be F**ked. Rodwell fancies himself as a centre back but he’s barely played there, Downing not good enough for the championship either and if anyone says Nyambe can play centre back (Chaddy) I will top myself.
  23. That Lowe/Williamson/Evans pairing in the centre was made worse by Bowyer playing Cairney on the right of midfield so much. Every man and his dog could see he was miles better in the centre of the park. We were at our best with Cairney and Evans in the middle with Marshall and Conway on the wings and Gestede and Rhodes up top. That team should have finished in the play offs. Those two losses to Burnley and Bournemouth really did us in. Not to mention that 0-0 at home to Yeovil which still gives me nightmares.
  24. The main factor effecting attendance has been around since 2010 and until it goes we are going to struggle regardless what the club try and do. Albeit they are doing a terrible job.
  25. If we’d have conceded then TM would have been absolutely hammered on here and rightly so. Got away with that today. Obviously I’m delighted with the three points but jesus that second half performance was so negative. They say attack is the best form of defence, it’s something we should have done in that second half today. Like I said though, buzzing to get the win and to be level on points with 6th place is a cracking start. You blues.
