  1. FFS. Williams can do a job in centre half but if one of him and Lenihan were to get injured too we’d be F**ked. Rodwell fancies himself as a centre back but he’s barely played there, Downing not good enough for the championship either and if anyone says Nyambe can play centre back (Chaddy) I will top myself.
  2. That Lowe/Williamson/Evans pairing in the centre was made worse by Bowyer playing Cairney on the right of midfield so much. Every man and his dog could see he was miles better in the centre of the park. We were at our best with Cairney and Evans in the middle with Marshall and Conway on the wings and Gestede and Rhodes up top. That team should have finished in the play offs. Those two losses to Burnley and Bournemouth really did us in. Not to mention that 0-0 at home to Yeovil which still gives me nightmares.
  3. The main factor effecting attendance has been around since 2010 and until it goes we are going to struggle regardless what the club try and do. Albeit they are doing a terrible job.
  4. If we’d have conceded then TM would have been absolutely hammered on here and rightly so. Got away with that today. Obviously I’m delighted with the three points but jesus that second half performance was so negative. They say attack is the best form of defence, it’s something we should have done in that second half today. Like I said though, buzzing to get the win and to be level on points with 6th place is a cracking start. You blues.
  5. Rothwell has been a joy to watch. What a fantastic little player he is. Can’t help but feel this line up leaves us a bit exposed at the back. We need another goal (or two) to make sure of this..
  6. If anyone needs a goal tomorrow it’s this lad. Hopefully he’s been practicing tying his laces in training.
  7. No complaints really tonight. Best side too have come to Ewood this season for me. They controlled the game and out classed and out played them. Too say Forest have spent a bit this summer, Sheff United are twice the team they are. We never looked like breaking them down. Dack was a no show, Graham had no service and when he did win a header they were first too every ball. The same when one of our centre halves won a header, they were always first to the second ball. It just shows you can be successful in this league without splashing the cash. On to the next one we go, we were simply outclassed tonight.
  8. Makes no sense charging that much. We’ll probably get it up to around 1500 hopefully but can’t see many more than that. Even with it being on Sky if it was £20 a ticket we’d have shifted 3-4K easily. Every penny matters to Bolton at the minute so it’s them who’s missing out. I’m working till 3 next Saturday was tempted to get a ticket and go over from work when I finish but I’m not sure.. One of my best away days at Bolton was a Sunday game which was on sky when Roberts got a last minute winner. Wasn’t many Rovers there that day and it’s still one of my favourite away days so screw it. I’ll be there, but I can see why numbers are so low.
  9. My grandad took all the family to Mauritius when I was younger. I was about nine years old. Beautiful place pal, I feel really lucky I got to experience it.. I don’t think there’s a chance Bruce Rowett and Hurst will see the season out. I think Neil might turn it around at PNE though yet. Interesting weekend ahead.
  10. Didn’t see that but good lad Chaddy. We cant get everything right.
  11. He’s played about 60 minutes of first team football so far but that Driving run last night where he picked the ball up on the halfway line, I never saw Jason Lowe do that in years of putting up with him. Rodwell is the new Tugay.
  12. I said “hating on” not that you actually hated him. You were speaking ill of him this time last year at the start of the season in league one. Saying you wouldn’t be playing him, his legs have gone etc. Too be fair Graham did start a bit slow last season but I felt at the time you were a bit harsh on him. I agree on Pulis though, don’t like him as a person but you can’t knock him too much as a manager.
  13. This time last year Chaddy was hating on Danny Graham. So I’m expecting Palmer to set the world alight for the rest of the season and Chaddy to write a letter to the club begging us to sign him permanently.
  14. Anyone willing to travel that distance on a Tuesday night to watch our second string in a Mickey Mouse cup game should be given a free season ticket for life. I imagine we’ll have about 200/300 there on the night. A mixture of those travelling from this neck of the woods and those Rovers who live south. No pressure on us it’s a good game to give Brereton 90 minutes up top and play the likes of Rodwell Conway Travis Downing etc. Bournemouth will make changes too so let’s see who’s second string comes out on top. Would be nice to go through and get an away trip to a Liverpool or a United, wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to get revenge on Burnley at Ewood after they beat us there last season either!
  15. We can’t get everything right, but for someone so convinced by their own opinion and unwilling most of the time to listen to others. He’s had a stinker there!
  16. I certainly remember Chaddy slating McCarthy all summer. He clearly doesn’t like him for whatever reason but what he did with that Ipswich side with no money for however many seasons was an over achievement rather than an under achievement. Anyone could see that. Things went a bit stale for him there last season and the fans had had enough, if McCarthy takes over any side in this league this season or next, I wouldn’t back that side to go down.
  17. Speaking of players from the Bundesliga. Norwich signed a lad from Bundesliga 2 called Onel Hernandez. He’s impressed me more than anyone I’ve seen this season from highlights and games I’ve stumbled across. Think he’s bagged a couple and set up quite a few already this season. Looks a real player.
  18. Hahaha. It’s not good that we so nearly threw it away. But you’re 3-0 up at Stoke you give them one back and the game is undoubtedly going to have a shift in momentum, if they don’t make it 3-2 within a minute of making it 3-1 then you’ll eventually calm the crowd down about 85 minutes and see the game out. Crazy game. You bluessss
  19. WOW. It’s literally in our clubs DNA to make it hard work for ourselves! If they’d have converted that pen I don’t think I could have faced logging in on here tonight. What a fantastic 3 points, we outclassed stoke today and had we not have won it would have been a travesty. 4 points from Stoke and Derby away is class. TM is the messiah. What a football club.
  20. Put Evans in for Smallwood and that would be my side tomorrow. If Brereton isn’t getting a sniff, like the other night we can bring Graham. Have a feeling Palmer may have more of an impact off the bench and Armstrong for me needs the day off, start him at Bournemouth.
  21. No. We beat them at Old Trafford that season though, 2 worldies from Pedersen.
  22. Smallwood was neither MOTM or the worst player on the pitch tonight. The whole team lacked quality going forward so he wasn’t the only one who gave the ball away a few times, I’ve been critical of him this season but there’s no way that Smallwood stood out as one of our worst performers tonight. It was a performance which lacked any attacking quality but we battled well defensively and Smallwood played his part in that.
  23. Bennett and Reed should have started, Armstrong didn’t get a kick as the lone striker. Got moved out wide and was as ineffective, played a good through ball for evans who could have done better but hit it straight at Carson. Evans impressed again tonight though, Lenihan MOTM for me. We weren’t at it going forward but defensively there was no backs to the wall stuff really, I think the score would have stayed 0-0 if we played for another half an hour. I remember in the first 5 minutes Palmer beat a couple of players and I thought that this guy is up for it tonight, after that he disappeared really. Gave the ball away a few times before he was subbed. He wasn’t the only one guilty of that tonight. Overall though it’s a great point, would have taken that before the game.
  24. First half it looked as though it was only a matter of time before Derby were to score. Second half however bar the free kick which hit the woodwork we were pretty comfortable and could have snatched a win if Dack could have got the ball out his feet quicker, Carson too be fair did well to come out quickly and thwart Dack before he got the ball back and hit the side netting. Lenihan was always in the right place to mop up and get a block in, can’t complain with a point on the road. Bar a few Derby spells of pressure it was a pretty comfortable point at that. It was the sort of game that if you lose 1-0 you’d absolutely slate the performance, but getting a point means it’s job done and on to the next one.
