You've done the same to me several times, particularly on the transfers thread Chaddy. And several times I have agreed with you, especially with Nyambe over the summer.
-
This is the radio Rovers thread Chaddy. Practice what you preach and keep on topic.

I'll just phone my 70 year old dad who've been house-bound for 7 years following a stroke and tell him he won't be listening to the game today. His Rovers life is still the radio and the LT. I guess he's another long standing supporter who is now doing "away games only".

Well it adds a bit of interest to August. Lets hope that Burnley will be met with fire, fury and quite frankly power, the likes of which the dingles have never seen.

Next round is seeded so guaranteed "money spinner" against a prem or top championship club.

[Archived] News Article -> Rovers complete Dack swoop

What a non-starter of a story this is. -
Quick get talking about it on Twitter.

Saw the half-original line up G'n'R last night at the London Stadium. Axls vocals held up a lot better than they sound on YouTube, Slash was awesome as ever and the setlist lends itself perfectly to large stadium gigs. Good night.

I see the Rovers website home page only has comments from Mowbray. As he is only a head coach and not even a manager, that shouldn't be his remit. However again it is left to the person that picks the team to front up as the face of BRFC once more. Pity we've not got a director of football or something to communicate with the fans at a moment like this.
-
If I was Mowbray I would walk. No question. Another season here with the squad we will have next year and he'll never get a job in football again. His record since he got here means he may well get a shot in league one somewhere else next season once the managerial merry-go-round starts again.
-
So the players are good enough, the manager is good enough but we are going down because they are not fit enough. Yeah right.
-
Unfortunately our loanees and out of contract players have been on the beach for weeks.
-
Tony used to play on the docks. Stokesy's been on strike, he's down on his luck with love. With love. Conor dreams of running away. He plays on the right sometimes. Raya is Ok. Ok.
-
Love the optimism but we'll plod to a point on Saturday and get beat at Brentford.
-
Plus if Huddersfield get something out of their midweek game with Wolves, they will be safely in the play offs by the time they go to Big Club.

I'm disappointed because I thought the Villa - Brum game was on the box. Im a sadist. I wanted to witness every turn of the knife.

No. I want to know what the Trust realistically think this could achieve? What's the realistic best case scenario? What are we actually asking the Sports Minister to do? Whilst it's fair enough supporters trusts trying to stop this happening again in the future, I don't believe anything that happens here can force Venkys to sell.Even in the aims given on the trust website. It's not an anti-trust view. It's just like re-living what BRAG did 4 years ago.
-
Exactly what I was going to ask. Whats the point? So that another dodgy owner trying to buy a different club in 5 years time might actually fail an improved 'fit and proper persons test'?
-
Unfortunately I'm starting to agree with the doubters. Senior's inability to add to the squad in January when we were in the bottom three has proved costly. However TM's shocking tactics on Monday and today have left serious doubts on his ability. When even Kevin Gallagher is saying it's possibly the worst attacking performance we have put in all season, and it's a must win game, you have to question it.
-
With rumours this week that should we get relegated our wage bill could be slashed by up to 50%, why would Cheston not want to finish third bottom.
-
If they release the 'freed up' money to be used on incomings then the squad can be reshaped. If they cut costs and pocket some of the savings then it's a massive ask to keep the side as competitive as they currently are (which this season has been not very).
-
We are no longer talking about big salaries. I'd imagine the medium earners will be under threat. Lowe got his new contract under Keano. That won't be small. Why do you think there is no talk at all of renewal. Evans, Graham and Guthrie will be on there way. No idea if Stokes and Mulgrew are on as much as those three. I'd hope not seeing as both were free and they didn't exactly have better options. They more likely dug their heels in for a 3 year contract cos the money wasn't high enough.

We've had the 'restructuring' of selling players with value and replacing them with players who are cheap/free. Stage 2 will be remove the higher earners and replace with people who are on less money. I can't see how anyone can disagree with the above.

We're on an express elevator to hell.
