There was a fairly large Police escort after the game taking a group of fans back into town. We followed it down to the Adelphi where it continued further into town. I just presumed it was PNE fans as weirdly Preston is one of the only places I’ve seen the home fans in an escort before. -

I just think Wharton is so important in that back line. We saw how when he was absent we didn't deal with Derby aerially. I dont know what Preston are like from set pieces, but I just can't see us winning. I'm certainly going there less confident than we have done for the last few seasons. -

The Preston equivalent of our rubber snake brigade, who probably will be back out in force for Hyam next Saturday. -

If we are playing 3 at the back, I still think Pickering is your best bet. He's done it before. However as I heard he was one of the players unhappy with Rudy & Co. back when Eustace left (along with Leonard, Hyam, Travis, Weimann), I think his absence is less suspicious than that of Cantwell. -

What about Baradji? On bench? Starting? Captain? -

Silly question. I can add the tickets to my google wallet and they show as a barcoded ticket. However the delivery method states "Print at Home" and the ticket attachment which is a "print at home" ticket says "Please ensure all tickets are printed" Last time I went to Preston it was with printed tickets. I presume you can enter the ground 'digitally' with your phone? -
So if from the refs angle you cant tell what the ball has hit because there is a crowd of people, and from the reverse angle it’s clearly handball, why would you not want to use the better angle?

I don't mind the PNE derbies. Generally good away followings and a feeling that its a genuine local rivalry, without all the bullshit attached to the Burnley games. I'm annoyed when we lose, but you can go in the pub after and chat to Preston fans about the game as it should be. You just can't do that for the Burnley fixtures, and every defeat grates hugely until the next time we play that lot. Rivalry-wise I've always considered Preston and Bolton to be very similar, with Blackpool and Wigan being more akin to the likes of Morecambe, Oldham, Stockport etc.. -

No real issue with the quotes. If a 23year old lad was moving to Rovers and asked me where he should live, I'd probably say the same thing. -

Nick Harris exposing what everyone knows

Who do you believe had the final say? Who was selecting transfer targets (and managers)? If the answer is SEM it is in breach of rules, regardless of whether venkys gave them the authority to do it. -

“Finally, our football secretary has, this morning, been instructed by SEM to issue a mandate to a third party without any reference or approval from the board. We are not familiar with the player concerned nor is he one that has been mentioned to us by the manager. Could you please, therefore, clarify the role of SEM in our transfer policy” Venkys aren’t having the final say. The agency there are instructing the Blackburn Rovers board to issue the transfer mandate to a third party on SEM’s say so. (They can’t do it themselves because, well, it’s against regulations and they don’t have the authority). So that is against regulations. -

The JW letter clearly confirmed that JA was controlling footballing matters and therefore it was in breach of guidelines. Allardyce and Dunn’s comments in the last week just seem to confirm it from their perspectives. My guess is it was too much trouble for the FA to get involved with people they were associated with as it would have caused them numerous knock-on issues. -

Unfortunately for everyone else, yes. The only Deepdale game I've missed recently was the 4-1 win. 🙄 -

I’m just tarred with local derbys away from home. I don’t think I’ve seen us win one since Lambert first game. -
The title track of The Book of Souls is a superb Maiden track from any era. The rest of it is generally “ok“.

Every day you've seen a block on sale get more sparse and then more sparse, and once it's almost gone the next block opens. Therefore blocks M to P have definitely sold well. I presume L went on sale first (although I didnt see it). -
I wonder how close these are to the truth

"I wonder how close these are to the truth". I only watched 10 seconds of it but Scott Wharton on £1,500 a week and on less than Montgomery and Barrett tells you everything you need to know. -

When I first checked it was block M which was a few days after it had gone on sale. Over time each block has opened up as the other block has had low availability. Therefore L, M, N have been sold, P has a few left at the front and Q is on general sale. I presume the small blocks K & R haven't been made available yet. -

Looking at the seat planner we are into the last full block of tickets remaining. Therefore I'd estimate about 75% have been sold so far. -

It the whole incident that shines a dodgy light on Venkys, Anderson and the FA. That period cost us the 15 years of being well run club, and no-one has ever been accountable for what happened. The truth has always had to be cobbled together with scraps of information. Even now, almost 15 years later, if you dare speak about it it gets deleted. Why? Cos it was in breach of all known rules, and people will have financially benefited because of it. All 3 of the named parties above would probably want it deleting.
