  1. Well, it's no surprise that feelings are still raw. I was dreading them turning up at that final Oxford game. I am sure that even in our (third division) triumph, some would have given a very public negative reaction. Purely in terms of strategy, I would have tried to avoid promoting negativity in that moment. I am torn between doing nothing to damage an apparent change in Venky behaviour and that uncomfortable feeling of the victim survivor, treading on eggshells, so as not to disturb the abuser! There has been no reconciliation. The fanbase is split and discussion on every forum about Venky forgiveness creates a storm. Well that is hardly surprising, is it! Personally, my dissent is alive and kicking, but I am keeping my (powerless) powder dry. If I were Dustin Hoffman, I'd be telling Dr Szel that it isn't safe..
  2. Agree. Show pony in a rotten chicken circus....
  3. 100%.Well remembered. But Godin was just too close to resist! (Previous was "Wagot)
  4. ...or Gladwin, Caddis, Samuel hahaha..
  5. You never know, we may even blow it all on another one "for the future" lol
  6. Thanks. I have watched it a few times now. Commentary very fair. They couldn't have complained if we had scored 6 or 7. It looks like we did get 5 anyway. On another set of highlights Bannon seems to have a bit of a go at Raya, immediately after his/Raya's goal. A bit nasty , I thought. Still wondering where the previous derby no-shows came from!
  7. He had a good sense of humour apparently ....of all the justifications in all of the clubs in all of the world, why....
  8. Thanks. I was away. I can't bring myself to watch it...maybe in a few weeks...maybe never. The texts I was getting from my son in London told me all I need to know. The phrase "playing like a fcking Coyle team" does nothing for your spirits on a nightmare journey on a shit, privatised circus rail service!
  9. What a difference from the West Brom game! At the same time, I can't fool myself. These abject performances do seem to appear every few games, usually only for one 45 minute period. I can't help wondering if something happened in the international break or if players are unhappy with TM's tactics/selections . Anyway, turn up like that for two local derbies and two limp defeats and supporter anger are the only outcomes. A mini crisis...
  10. We could always pay Harrods prices for Poundstretcher goods...then leave them on the bench...
  11. I agree. TM does get it. I am sure of that. I heard him respond to a question at the end of last season about the fans, needing to let go of any negativity towards the owners and he said something about having too much affection for the supporters to comment on that...
  12. Hahaha.. My bad! I should have said near death.. Only last week someone was telling me about Keeley having to lay low after the negative press for that "tackle" on Fucillo. I had never realised that Fucillo actually played the following week!
  13. But it was quite ok for you to talk about him jettisoning Waggy lol
  14. Me too.....Anything else would be too much to bear...
  15. I am sure that after his "death" Fucillo recovered in time to play in the following game?
  16. Remember crowd favourite loanee, David Gregory, who cited his inability to work with "that man", as part of the reason he did not sign permanently...
  17. Just to firmly and publicly exclude myself from the "Poor old Venky's were naive/just badly advised" so called consensus.... They were told on many occasions and arrogantly refused to listen. Rather, they chose to dismiss the anxious voices of honest, decent Blackburn people and others....because it suited them to do so. ...Just saying...
  18. Well deserved too. This player is the antithesis to the likes of Murphy and Orr. A key contributor to the revival..
