  1. I remember Savage responding to a caller, who was complaining about the goings on under Steve Kean. Savage "But there's still some good people left at the club.....Paul Agnew, for instance?" They don't do their research, don't allow the callers to talk enough...and it is all about Robbie Savage's Me, me ,me etc
  2. And, if you wanted to appear even more cultured, you could reference it back to the original Jacques Brel.. Adieu l'Émile, je t'aimais bien Adieu l'Émile, je t'aimais bien, tu sais On a chanté les mêmes vins On a chanté les mêmes filles On a chanté les mêmes chagrins Just saying...
  3. Going cheap on the manager makes no sense whatever....unless there are other forces relying on that low status manager to allow them to make signings that have other aims than improving the actual team-the manager's area of responsibility. The Others-are they still here?
  4. Musing out loud... If this venture is being driven by The Coventry Three, it would be pretty inconvenient for their people's man and assistant to lose their jobs, especially as the other is supposed to be retiring. SEM/HSH will have to act fast... Maybe, it would be a good time for another Brockhall resident to rally the peasants on TM's behalf? Oh wait....A 59/Area '51
  5. Pulis is another one found to be fraudulent and deceitful by The High Court, so he'll need the Rovers job to pay back the £6 million. Meanwhile, Craig Honeyman of HSH says "you need to be honest and honourable"... SEM/HSH OUT....
  6. How I long for the days when I didn't know and didn't care... My final straw was when Warnock had Cheston's offer withdrawn and in came Owen Coyle (SEM/HSH).... Think Kean, Lambert, Bowyer (I think), Mowbray.... So if TM does go, it is not as if the club will recruit from a wide field....Next.. Pulis? He is HSH and -of course-out of work!
  7. New manager prediction. Step 1 Are they connected with HSH? Step 2 Are they on the scrap heap?
  8. Hmmm. Raya did make some real, soul destroying mistakes at key times. Liability was certainly a word we used in our family at places like Griffin Park! I think the key issue is whether we could have invested in coaching him better and ended up with a significant asset within a year or so...
  9. I thought everyone and his dog knew that you need a tough, experienced "owld arse" centre half-McNamee, Moran, Short etc. Not long ago, even TM was talking about needing "men"....
  10. People in child protection will recognise this as "Start again syndrome"....i.e. please don't consider any previous patterns/evidence that I am a risk to my own children, not be up to the job of meeting their needs, providing a safe environment etc...
  11. You clearly don't "understand". Shame on the owners! Jesus, I don't want it to be true... What evidence can you show that they have ever really gone for promotion?
  12. Starting to worry me now. At what point does our use of loan players signal a change in the overall aim of the club...i.e. to be a mere nursery school for the likes of City and Liverpool?
  13. Therein a contradiction...Venky's/empowered board governance. Cheston appointed Warnock and while he was on holiday, someone else overturned the decision. And that was after all the "learning from their previous mistakes". Now the agenda looks worryingly like a nursery school for the premiership... "WE WERE THE ROVERS"?
  14. And what evidence is there that they will ever appoint the right manager/proven coach? I can't see past HSH's current list of out of work clients. We may think that the only solution is a return to the top flight, but are we sure that is the agenda here? There is not a lot of supportive evidence...
  15. Lol.... I guess I am merely reminded-bitterly- once again that Blackburn Rovers is not a normal club. Remember even after the dirty scandal of Steve Kean, these bastards still felt free to change their minds and reject Warnock for "the outstanding candidate"!...the question Cheston wouldn't answer...
  16. Unfortunately, I know that is not true under this shower. Just look at the quality of appointments to key roles at the club, since 2010...
  17. Really? What was the post assigned to the likes of Agnew, Senior, Singh? Venky's could always appoint worse. Ten years tells me that the problem is that the club will never go anywhere under these owners. It is almost pointless.
  18. Quite. I don't blame Duffy exclusively for that relegation either, but, as a Rovers fan, those (deliberate?) own goals certainly rankled.... The "no matter how badly Taylor" clause doesn't give him a free pass for me, even though Mackenzie is undoubtedly a t****.
