  1. I thought he was the best keeper in a good while. We have had so many second rate goalkeeper performances-since we sold Friedel imo... Even Robinson went down like an old man getting into bed, as balls hit the net from outside the box. The likes of Roger Jones, Jim Arnold, Terry Gennoe, Tim Flowers and Brad Friedel gave us the required confidence. I think too many of our recent keepers are more the "Primark" Darren Collyer/Matt Dickens type!
  2. Really! I thought he was great. He could stand up for himself too. Flouncing about? Give over!
  3. Maybe , it is a quote from one of his dirty mags?
  4. YES.. Kite! I was actually racking my brains to remember what word set up the "shite" rhyme. Well remembered!
  5. Lol..I have heard about people analysing Dylan and Cohen, but this.... I await your dissertation on Agadoo!
  6. Dewsbury Hall sounds like a 70's detention centre!
  7. There was another verse, B-side... " I never felt more like painting the town. The Rovers up, The Burnley down.. Oh, Rovers, ...etc"
  8. "Blackburn..they play crap every week, but they win..."
  9. ...and in Kendall's promotion season...Just saying lol
  10. A bit of a gamble!
  11. I'll get over it!
  12. Absolute Beauty?...er..not really. Effective though... Absolute beauty would be Rovers' third away at Norwich....
  13. I can hardly stomach their attitude towards us, now the men against boys stuff etc... I know they are bitter and I get it. There are die hard Knobbers, pushing 70, who have never once seen their team in the top flight. Since they were last in the top flight, local rivals Blackpool have been promoted twice, Rovers twice, Burnley more(!), Bolton twice, Wigan once. Moreover Rovers have won the Premiership and League Cup. Wigan have won the F.A. Cup. Then, just think about some of the other clubs, who have tasted top flight football, during the long PNE exile: Barnsley, Bradford, Carlisle, Huddersfield, Hull, Luton, Oldham, Swindon, Oxford, Charlton, Millwall, Cardiff, QPR, Bristol City, Notts County, Portsmouth... Just saying lol
  14. I do agree with all this, but .....we lost. I would have been more than happy to play shite, and win, especially in a derby. Losing in the last minute seemed like a Rovers script. I remember going to Burnden in the mid 70's. They could/should have had seven, but we won in a smash and grab-John Waddington, I think. Ecstasy!! Playing shite in a derby and winning is the name of the game.....
  15. On the anniversary of the folio, now is the winter of our discount tent?
  16. When I read posts like that, it reminds me not to post in anger.
  17. And their manager was backed. Ours wasn't. Venky's out.
  18. Tell the Home Secretary ! I agree with you on this.
  19. Not that I am one to bear a grudge, but it would be strangely fitting if it turned out that a defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers saw Wagner out on his arse!
  20. The 4th official heard what JDT shouted at Waggott and mistook the comment as directed at himself...
  21. Unless...the answer, my friend, is flappin' in the wind..
  22. Yep...and what "it is" is that this keeper is making far too many errors for Championship level!
