  1. Reed should of started as should of rothwell. It looks like there missing a one or two and comparing 11s I think it's still a fairly even match. Hopefully he uses his subs well and we can get a result. COYB
  2. Reading mowbray comments on the official page it doesn't sound like brereton and Reed will be starting tonight or any time soon citing his reasons as they need to learn the rovers way before earning a starting place in the team. After reading that they won't be in the eleven tonight
  3. I think Bennett would be the same if he got dropped.
  4. I left on 82 with the score still 0-0. Rovers Dominated the whole game with a few decent chances but failed to score. Arsenal went down to ten after 50 mins. Mitchell came on around 75 for an injured mol's. Rodwell didn't have much to do but you could see the class difference in his composure. Carter was awful tonight and nuttall was poor but everyone else had a good game. Arsenal never got going.
  5. Good work Was looking at it and thinking if you add up the good stars and deduct the red wouldnt that be the best way to see who deserves the mom award ?
  6. Rovers play arsenal at ewood tonight. Free for season ticket holders and 3 quid for non. One pound for kids. Rodwell, candlin, Lyons, Travis and nuttall all likely to feature. Should be a good one and well worth dodging the wife for. Get yourselves down
  7. Your probably right. I just remember turning up and thinking we would get hammered
  8. Still remember that goal when we had the red kit on, when we where playing awful and derby where flying. We where 1-0 up , they equalised and it felt like it was another one of those days and trips home that had become the norm, then Graham scored that goal, where it seemed all the team touched the ball. Great passing goal and one of my favorites. As for Tuesday are we playing a wounded animal or a team low on confidence. I still haven't worked out if derby are as spineless as they seem or are just waiting to put the afterburners on. I fancy a 1-1 draw with Armstrong to score for us. Reed must start and I would like rothwell to get on the pitch at some point. Won't be going to this one so red button for me. COYB
  9. To not go on purly because of atmosphere is a pathetic excuse if you can even call it an excuse. Call a spade a spade and say you can't be arsed. If the people who want to create an atmosphere stop going because of a poor atmosphere then how does that help/improve the situation. The more people think like that the worse the atmosphere is going to get.
  10. I don't understand the not going because of the atmosphere argument. We would all love and prefer a raucious crowd in a full house but I go predominantly to watch the football. I watch the u23s where there is no atmosphere at all just to watch the football. Do these people not watch football on tv unless all their mates are round singing for 90 minutes. Makes absolutely no sense to me
  11. For me Reed highlighted a big problem we have had for years. When he came on he offered the back four protection but also offered the attack support. Evans, Smallwood and many before have done the defensive side but don't offer anywhere near enough attacking threat. At this level I think you have to be able to offer both consistently. I thought rothwell showed in the games I have seen he has the capability to do both and Reed looks like the addition we have been missing for quite some time
  12. For me there in lies the problem. Armstrong , brereton and Graham are all players who play through the middle and bennett imo should be playing dm. We have no natural width and to really progress as a team we need to sort it in the next window. If we can do that and add a cb we are more than capable of challenging for a top six spot
  13. Well alot of positives to take from that. We more than held our own. Against one of the best teams in the league. It feels like a loss but a draw is a very decent result against a good villa side who needed a win. I thought tony showed his tactical nous and made the right call at the right time which is very pleasing as I have had my doubts about that side of him. Reed played very well when he came on and imo should start over Smallwood next game. It was never a free kick and very harsh to blame him for conceding it. The bell v Williams debate has swung ever more in bells favour. Superb finish from dack and he has served his community well tonight ?. Lastly and frustratingly that is four points dropped already in added time which is a concern. It's still early doors and I have no reason to believe this team won't get better. I believed we would be in a relegation battle for most of the season but I'm pretty confident we will stay up with relative ease. All in all alot to work on but alot of positives to take into the derby game who have just been beaten by Rotherham. Heads up and go again
  14. We are easily on sky more than that this season.
  15. If the judge was less lenient and dack went to jail and missed most of the season I'm pretty sure the club would have been brought into disrepute and it would have been an issue. He is an important asset to this club and being payed to play, something he can't do behind bars. I however agree that the matter has been dealt with and should be left alone from this point
  16. I wouldn't say grealish is under rated. He's a real talented player. I would question his application
  17. I'm going to go to the next game. I think it's at ewood. Anyone know if Rodwell is likely to feature. He's been quiet since he signed. I thought tony might have said we're going to give him some minUtes with the u23s to get him up to speed or something along them lines but he's never been mentioned. Possibly an outing for Davenport to. We could do with A few lads with experience in to help out the younger lads.
  18. My God nothing gets past this board ?
  19. The q and a the club is doing is good and interesting and a good chance to help the fans be more endearing towards certain players. I think Dom's was a massive backfire. Hilarious all the same. Can't wait for Corry Evans strangest things you have ever seen. Fans trying to talk to me at a service station. Bradley dacks surly has to be his own reflection whilst masterbating in the room that night
  20. He had me at the Thierry Henry comparison. I think Ryan's, shall we say, a little less up his own arse
  21. Dominic Samuel has just done one but I don't no how to copy links. Some very interesting answers on there to say the least If anyone can start the Dom Samuel appreciation thread that would start some interesting debate on this floundering board (not my opinion)
  22. I agree about sitting back. Villa can score and kodja is a real handful. Grealish always has a goal in him and needs the likes of Evans and Bennet to keep him on a lead, however they do seem to concede their fair share so I'd hope mowbray goes straight for the kill. Like most games in this league it's hard to call. We could score four as could they and that's what makes this league the most exciting league to play in. It all boils down to how Tony sets up tactically. Sit back and invite pressure we will be in trouble. Go for it and we can get a positive result. I won't make a prediction (I'm usually way off anyway) but I'm excited to see how we play against one of the bigger teams in this league and see where we are at and what we are really made of. COYB
