  1. Of course, Mowbray just wandered off at the end of his deal no idea if he was staying or going, which was very respectful by the ‘honourable people’.
  2. Longest contract for any manager post Kean, so fairly obvious he’s doing the job they want - to be an acquiescent stooge for downsizers.
  3. Terrible results are the only thing that get dissent in the ground, even with the rump left. So it will happen organically… not that it matters one jot. The regime’s only card to get the heat off is sack VI. New guy comes in and it will be straight back to ‘just get behind ‘em’ Rinse and repeat until in non-league.
  4. End of the day that will be the reaction of most of the remaining rump of crowd. You’ll be very disappointed if you expect anything else. Like it’s been said many times, 10,000 have walked away, that’s your protest right there. The majority who are left just want to watch a game of football with some lads in a blue and white shirt.
  5. ‘We want Venky’s out’ through the Last Post, disrespectful, rest of the day is fair game. But Masher gonna Masher.
  6. Whatever it is they need to make the most of it as there’s only one more whilst the season is running..
  7. I’ve not listened to or read a single thing he’s come out with since he joined. It helps.
  8. They can’t relate as this isn’t normal. Usually owners just give up the ghost either of their own volition or they are forced to through administration etc. Here it’s been going on so long, the decline akin to a slow puncture as the lights are always on, not a Sheff Wed-esque car crash, it’s become normalised and turned perceptions on their head - ‘just how it is there, they have crap support, their owners keep it afloat’.
  9. Like I said, briefly, it had long gone even by the end of the Victorian age. So, why has it become the crux of the whole AI generated comms campaign? I’ve seen far more Maltese crosses than red roses.
  10. No Maltese cross! Poor effort. Don’t you know a random website once said it was our badge briefly so is now the basis of all our AI generated comms (and will be on the anniversary shirt, of course).
  11. A shout out to the owners of the club from the club and they’ve managed to get the club’s name wrong.
  12. It’s the helplessness of it. Yesterday my Facebook memories flashed up with the stream of consciousness I was spouting on that day in 2009. We’d just beat that lot again down the M65 (the last season in which we would) and the passion was flying out of me. Now? On Saturday, a 3pm game not too far away I would’ve gone without question a few years back, but I didn’t even think about it, indeed I just glanced at the score at half time/full time, sighed and went on with my day - anyone that knows me and my lifelong passion for all thinks Blackburn Rovers wouldn’t recognise me. ’Yeah, yeah it’s because you’re shit so you can’t be arsed’. No, not the case. I was burning with anger, protesting, paying my fees to WATR for years when we were also shit but you hoped we could push them towards the door, if not at least push them into a change of course. Sheff Wed are shit too, but their fans know they are at near end game, hope. Here? What’s the point? The ‘club’ has no interest in achieving anything on the pitch, yet the owners have no interest in selling to anybody that would try to. Protests don’t work, ten thousand people walking away doesn’t work. So, you just quietly quit and move on with your life, without even noticing.
  13. League 2? Don’t need Brockhall or a Cat 1 Academy or the Riverside. Mothball, ‘consolidate’, sell the land etc and keep cutting that cloth.
  14. How do you know he’s struggling to settle? He could’ve been down his local ‘spoons an hour after moving in for all you know.
  15. No, no, its only because La Liga’s not at the Championship’s level.
  16. If Coyle had been sacked on Boxing Day after he got dogs abuse at Barnsley post another horrendous performance, with Mowbray then brought straight in we’d have survived no question… only manager they’ve sacked in a decade and it was still too late.
  17. Obviously not, took a while.
  18. He’s an Asian lad from Dingleland so I’m going to say it’s highly unlikely.
  19. Probably is the goal, but why? What’s the point of any of this?
  20. That’s a potential explanation as to why they are shrugging their shoulders this season… but the second part, I.e why this interminable, joyless (on both sides) ownership never ends?
  21. That window just gone confirms there is no goal of staying up, but no selling up goal either… why?
  22. End of the day doomed Sheff Wed aside the other relegation threatened clubs will look to rectify it in January as they don’t want to see their passion, their investment, end up in League 1 for both sporting and financial reasons. Here? Well, we all know the answer to that.
  23. The irony is the only way that growing community would ever even remotely engage with the club is if it achieved something in the pitch, I.e Premier League… which of course will *never* happen under this regime. So yes, only one cure whatever way you slice it.
  24. I wonder if an esteemed poster still sees him as an ‘excellent’ appointment (he did a few weeks ago)?
