The ‘football board’, how are they working out? -

‘Hate filled atmosphere’… few hundred folk chanting about off the pitch stuff. Won’t somebody think of the children players! -
In more important matters… what the bloody hell ever happened to Stuart?

So managers are fine to show dissent to their supporters who travel long distances and pay good money? So I take it Ismael was right to ignore the away support and walk straight down the tunnel at Portsmouth then? -
Maybe they’ll use the occasion to have the naming ceremony of the Tony Parkes Riverside too…

Amazing you are still banging the drum that he purely went for a pay rise. -

People are having a discussion about how protests are received at other clubs. Seems relevant to me. Like the transfer thread, if someone has something specific about protests at BRFC they’ll post them. -

They have the highest match day revenue in the Premier League, so to be 14th is a huge failure, not sure how it can be painted as anything else. -
So many echoes of 2011/2012, thirteen years on and straight back to the same playbook for a weak and nasty regime.

In reality there will be about 5,000 Rovers fans there on Tuesday. The final two home games will at least have some semblance of a home crowd… -
Neville telling it how it is re modern football. His Sky employers won’t like it, I’d imagine though…

Obviously I wasn’t talking about just this season as you know. Its ok, we’ve all had to make a conscious decision re this regime - you’ve decided to carry on attending over the years to support the team, no shame in that. -

rigger, you’ve said repeatedly over the years that if it isn’t a night game you generally go, so I can have a decent guess how much that costs and it won’t be far off a ST. You have funded the regime more or less as much as any ST holder these past 14 years, sorry. -

We lose c4,000 ST Holders this summer… Swag-hail: ’Well, we were going to ban them anyway’. -

I’ll ask you again, why have you called out ST Holders for 14 years when you have been spending pretty much the same over a season on match tickets? -
v Sheffield Wednesday (h) - 8/4/2025
Mattyblue replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Then that’s different, but you’ve been calling out ST holders for far longer than recent weeks… -

rigger has got himself in a right tangle on this for a few seasons now . He tries to take the moral high ground for not buying a ST… yet buys a ticket for most weekend games (add that cost up against a ST!)… so that is sticking it to the regime how, exactly? -

Just fundamentally a nasty, cynical, small-time regime that since 2012 have had the life of Riley around Ewood in their club ties swanning around the lounges and such like as they systematically downsize the club and lower its standards. Then overnight they’ve been smoked out of their hole and they don’t like it one bit - so dividing their own fans is the only tactic they’ve ever had. Problem is Swag-hail most have now seen through it and momentum against you doesn’t subside when results are so poor - of course said results are shite due to your own ridiculous decision making… so a lesson there, keep taking the cheap option and eventually the house of cards collapses right on you. -

Agreed. Just leads to ‘Mullan’s lot never go anyway’ ‘brfcs? Keyboard warriors who never go’. Straight away you are playing into the regime’s hands. -

Didn’t quite hit the target those posts yesterday, did they, BnWA? Never mind, I imagine you’ve been asked to stand down from future interventions! 😅 -

Makes no difference, when was the last time we put in a good performance with a big home crowd on? These journeymen players obviously can’t cope with the pressure of a crowd. -

That’s the thing TJ, I now live a fair distance from Ewood (not exactly Stafford where the two lads in front of me come from every week, but a decent drive). If I lived down the road I probably wouldn’t have helped myself in the end and would have gone. Now, as me and evermore of our fanbase spreads out across Lancs and beyond, it makes the decisions on not bothering, not renewing even easier when you look at the farce that is BRFC.
