  1. Might have led to ‘outrage’, but it would still make far more sense for the clubs, the EFL and Sky themselves than having four L1/L2 games kicking off at 12.30 hidden away on the red button, where’s the ‘exposure’ there?
  2. As well as the crackers situation of seven live games all kicking off at half 12 on a Saturday…
  3. There won’t be any abuse thrown at those mentioned.
  4. Think Vlad may have an inkling to where we build the subs…
  5. Not exactly difficult to ‘scout’ a player of Wharton’s quality.
  6. As usual Gav on this issue you seem to always be arguing a different point than me. I’m not remotely ‘talking the support down’, we have good support. And of course games when the team is riding high will see more walks ons, especially in the run in, why wouldn’t it? But at these prices we will only get sustained (I.e every week) big crowds when we go up, just the way it is as you aren’t selling substantially more STs in this division at these prices. None of that is the fanbases fault - shame the owners aren’t interested in the going up part.
  7. No we haven’t been ‘given plenty of notice’, four weeks is ‘plenty’? Saying ‘we’ll give you four weeks notice’ without knowing what fixtures will actually be moved isn’t helping anybody logistically. For away fans it means they will have either lost a fortune on rail tickets or you decide to wait until the last minute to book in case it gets moved… and still end up paying a fortune (yes, yes, you like to drive so that doesn’t bother you one bit, but a lot of folk like to get the train as they enjoy the day out with a few beers in a different town or city). Or even for home games, as guess what, other people (again, I know, not you) have, you know, other social things planned in advance at a weekend outside just going to Ewood.
  8. Obviously he wasn’t as even that Mainoo was ahead of him and where’s he disappeared to? No queue of buyers, so you won’t be getting top dollar and the lad was happy here - but let’s sell anyway 👏
  9. When we were in the PL. It was a one off game that stoked the imagination of the fanbase due to a few factors… obviously not the norm and means nothing in the grand scheme of things apart from get promoted and you’ll see it every week - but we won’t, so we won’t.
  10. If there wasn’t a queue offering big money because clubs still had doubts, how about not selling him to the first bidder then? Oh that’s right they’d put a ‘please buy him we can’t pay our bills’ stamp on his head…
  11. Yes and we were back to c10k in the ground for Portsmouth the week after, the Dingle crowd is irrelevant. Big crowd for a big derby like at every club.
  12. Most fans just don’t care about the off field stuff, they didn’t in 2010 to 2012 (as us big minority of protesters know too well), they don’t now. However, if the on field product is crap as a result of said off the field stuff they just walk away.
  13. The proof in the pudding will be ST sales across the Championship this summer after a season of this mass inconvenience across the league for fans. If sales stay steady then they’ve got away with it, if they don’t the clubs/EFL have killed the golden goose…
  14. To be fair, Sky are only running the show because the clubs want them to. It’s on them, they signed the contract - yet the clubs always cannily seem to avoid any criticism when the fixture changes get announced.
  15. ‘So Valèrien, what do you think of Dennis?’ ’no impact, now he’s banned, but he’s a body, I suppose’.
  16. So if Watford gets moved we’ll have had SIX Saturday 3pm games at Ewood all season…. Just over a quarter
  17. Yep purely went for the money, case closed. JDT also purely went for the mon…oh.
  18. Always take this stuff with a pinch of salt.
  19. ‘So, Valerién, what do you think of the coaching staff you have inherited?’ ’They’re shit, but I needed the job’.
  20. Their place last season was a bottle job, that one wasn’t, just better players being more clinical
  21. ‘In shock’ that two managers in a year have walked. Real mystery, ain’t it…
  22. I had heard all his mates from his Oxford days all actually lived on Sandbanks…
  23. Most of the other half are pretty ‘meh’ too…
  24. Why would the fanbase do that when half of it sees no particular issue with the owners?
  25. Take it Damien Johnson or whoever would ‘show some loyalty’ if Liverpool came calling?
