  1. Don’t underestimate how many just want to ‘get back in’. Do I expect Swag-ail to keep getting the right man? No, but they may get lucky.
  2. No idea. Just like I’d didn’t before JDT or Eustace came in.
  3. There is, and we will see that when we are in League 1 in the summer of 2026. But whilst 6th in the Championship? There will be plenty of decent managers interested.
  4. Which good football people would come here? JDT, Eustace to name two. We’ll always potentially attract a decent manager whilst at this level. Good wage, nice facilities and you won’t get sacked, can get your feet right under the table… however won’t take long for an ambitious manager to realise what an unprofessional outfit this is and will want out.
  5. Astute, as always… though obviously an avid reader of brfcs, if not poster. 😉
  6. It’s our fault for not selling many tickets for a cup tie in February according to Reg on the LT.
  7. Crap KO time on free to air, it’s only the fourth round against meh opposition as far as the PL goes. No different to similar ties in the past - the Josh King Stoke tie immediately springs to mind. The gate today is neither here nor there in the grand scheme of things.
  8. He goes to a team sitting in a play off place to the Premier League for a club staring down the barrel of League 1, I would wager Eustace did see it as shite on paper.
  9. Clubs going well form wise have attracted big crowds, club that aren’t, haven’t…
  10. “Good riddance, don’t want people here that aren’t committed to the cause - he’s only won two in 11 anyway “”
  11. To go back to their founding principle - to call for them to put the club up for sale. Then that’s democracy (but we’d need to be asked first).
  12. The site’s biggest keyboard warrior, aye ok 😅 (obviously he’s still smarting that we called him out after he patronisingly told us how misinformed we all were after his tea and biscuit sessions with Swag - yeah didn’t age well, did it). Yeah did all that, I am now a member of WATR, who’s main policy I currently disagree with - and will say so to the committee, presuming I get asked for it at some point.
  13. I imagine non-ST Holder walk on numbers won’t be too far from the norm, it’s a shed load of ST holders swerving it that will make it such a low turn out.
  14. Oh look here’s 1864 riding back in on his high horse 🙄 I pay my dues, as do many others on here, so if I feel WATR current strategy of ‘friendship’ is the wrong course of action I’ll say so.
  15. Amazing fall from grace really. As he left us I expected him to have decades at the top… instead he’s managing a club on the verge of non league.
  16. Mike’s been on an interesting journey, if we take his posts over the last year or so at face value, he does seem to have done a volte-face on these owners.
  17. Paul Fielder, wasn’t it? Said ‘kids don’t like football’ so don’t bother with cheaper tickets for them, should sell them ‘FIFA skins’ or something instead. 🤦‍♂️ Yeah feck the next generation of customers, marketing 101.
  18. I see very little traction over what the Fans Forum provide… but they do have a more formal association structure ‘ co-opted committee members’ and the like, which is nice. In reality their clout is no different as ‘engagement’ with Waggott and whoever else they drag out of the marketing pod means bugger all as power resides elsewhere.
  19. They pretty much stopped posting when WATR sponsorship of this site ran out… some way to manage one of your key stakeholders that. They literally have their own thread on the biggest Rovers forum and they can’t be arsed posting on it - piss poor comms (presuming they even have a comms plan), where are the membership fees going?
  20. You’d think so, but a bit odd for a PL club (who probably will have sold them) not to take them on that basis… and why would Rovers insist on such terms when there will be 10,000+ empty seats in the other stands?
  21. That’s a weird decision by Wolves as PL club fans are always griping about how it’s very difficult to get away tickets as allocations are 3k max… yet a chance to take a huge following for once and the club hierarchy doesn’t take it.
  22. It’s VenkyWorld, 18 months ago ago it was all about The Model of young players brought in to sell on and tying players down to long deals. Now it’s the polar opposite, older players on short term contracts and loans. Don’t even attempt to make sense of it, and so it does me laugh when certain naive posters actually try and purport that there’s some sort of structure here - when in reality it’s chaos, just like it has been since that dark day in 2010.
  23. £30 off, wasn’t it? (Mine on early bird went from £379 to £349). Though the way they crowed about it you’d think they were half price…
  24. He was the same against PNE. Like you say rather than that than strikers that walk in the opposite direction when there’s a pen.
  25. Their comms has been terrible for years, like you I’ve often had to chase to just be on the mailing list.
