  1. Obviously it primarily aided Liverpool as the rest of our side was largely shite that year, so we may as well have not bothered bringing him in. But if you actually have aspirations to achieve something, then a top quality loan who is better than what you have can be the difference to push you over the top that season.
  2. Lighten up, it’s Sunday morning. 😅 I wasn’t actually saying you should have received a certificate. Though I’d have given ‘The Chadster, Blackburn End row 7, saw every match, even when Swag wouldn’t let him sit in his seat for the cup game’ a big cheer.
  3. I meant last season! At least we won plenty in L1, as embarrassing as it was to be down there.
  4. Anybody who saw every game of that torturous Ewood campaign should’ve been brought on the pitch and given a certificate like 100% attenders in school assembly. Luckily I was away a fair bit and missed three or four (didn’t miss a win though obviously).
  5. Cheers. Another question. With the ‘coffin ceremony’ etc going back decades, I always thought that there’s a decent amount of Rovers fans in Brig, ok, not as many as PNE, but a decent few. Take it that isn’t the case, but was there historically?
  6. Something I’ve wondered about non league fans, especially once you get to Northern Premier level and below. Are any purely Brig fans, or Clitheroe etc or are most fans of the local football league club too (or Liverpool, Man Utd etc)
  7. Oh god, you’ve asked for the full itinerary now 😅
  8. Two Blackburns when it comes to the FA Cup. Proper football town.
  9. There is, and AW is right up there with them after just a dozen PL games - some player.
  10. There will be a lot of skriking kids across the country though whose weak parents have let them support City over their own club.
  11. Match day tickets possibly, but STs are very affordable at a lot of clubs.
  12. It really is outrageous to say to long standing fans, often elderly ones ‘give us an extra tenner’. Like those airport guards in Turkey or wherever with their palms out. The brass neck of it.
  13. Thanks for reminding me of those players, completely forgotten them like 99% of them since 2012.
  14. So you just knew it? Even more impressive 👏 👏
  15. Was he not supposed to show coaching and man management skills at Birmingham?
  16. Modern football 🤦‍♂️ Sure the data geeks at Bayern have made it clear that some Dingle outperformed his X-assists last season or something.
  17. Top notch transfermarkt.com-ing there Chadster 👏
  18. Yep, the summer of 21/22 was the killer. Most clubs realised they needed to offer something enticing to get fans back after 18 months with them out the grounds, so we saw freezes and cuts across the game… here? A rise ‘oh and we’ll keep your unused ST money too’. Result? Lowest ST sales in 30 years at 6,995 and it’s been a bloody slog trying to claw it back ever since.
  19. Sounds great, no more 7k away ends!
  20. ‘Screened live in Norway’ (as full of plastic Scousers, Scandì style), so Ewood was all Norwegian advertising… which made a change from Tommy Balls and Matthew Brown 😅
  21. You’re right they don’t. We have bounced between a pitiful 7k and a stil poor 9.5k+ STs for a decade, that’s the range. We all clutch our pearls every summer but in reality we’ll be in that range at the end of it. Going up or down a few hundred season to season means little in the grand scheme of things. In reality what I think will happen, is a fair few existing ST holders will drop off due to another shambolic season, seeing one Saturday home win after October and now the Sky factor but that will largely be offset by a few newbies thinking it’s a decent enough price. The ‘churn’. Treading water, just like the rest of the club
  22. Great news, so we’ll be back up to Bowyer era season ticket sales of 10/11k next season.
  23. But also L2 clubs get very little in the way of TV money, so gate receipts are much more important.
  24. Not sure that answered my question, but ok
