  1. No chance we are selling nearly 3,000 at Stoke or a West Brom before general sale (it won’t sell out on general sale either). 5,500 at PNE before general sale? At 12pm on a Sunday?
  2. I think that’s Gav’s point. Has he been a good CEO for Blackburn Rovers, its fanbase? It’s infrastructure? It’s future? No, he’s been bloody appalling. But a good CEO for the owners? (Owners that also don’t care about Blackburn Rovers, its fanbase, it’s infrastructure, it’s future) Without doubt, kept the club ticking over with minimum of fuss for them.
  3. Apart from the Dingles (and maybe Luton as a tiny allocation) every other away game will reach general sale.
  4. Even if it’s a big derby against Stanley?
  5. I still think we’ll get a decent number of walk ons, spoke to a few that will be heading down that only see a few games a season (obviously not the numbers of a 3pm, but we’ll never see a 3pm opening day again).
  6. Of course, if you don’t have a spring in your step walking to Ewood next Friday, then why bother. The usual ‘sooo negative’, ‘give ‘em a chance FFS’ brigade are out (who doesn’t get behind new players BTW?) But at the end of the day if you sell £30million+ of players and then spend a fraction of that on replacements for a team that was already struggling last season, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see we’ll likely struggle again. Just the way it is, bottom end spend, bottom end wage bill = bottom end league position. We will drop if this ownership continues in this manner, let’s just hope the recruitment has been canny enough to put it off another year and then who knows this shower may have finally fucked off by then and we can start to rebuild this fantastic club of ours (they won’t have, but we can dream).
  7. Think Derby are expecting to bring c4k, so probably looking at a gate around 17k.
  8. We’ve started seasons well for a while now, indeed last season’s early points on the board came in very handy by the end… if we don’t, then it could be a very long campaign, especially as I imagine there will be a farce of some description in January.
  9. Now now JH, it ‘prevents ticket touting’, you know how it is, tickets for the likes of Norwich away are like gold dust.
  10. So you do understand it’s inconvenient for a lot of fans because of greedy clubs, which is the point everybody is making - glad we are all on the same page!
  11. Yes we all know it’s the fault of the clubs, nobody feels sorry for the clubs, especially as the extra cash will go straight out their accounts again into higher wages for players and agent fees. We feel sorry for the fans, we know you struggle to empathise with that as you’d be there at 4am etc etc.
  12. 90/91 possibly? Jack who?
  13. The Phase 2 hike was bad enough, but Phase 3 kicking in just as players actually start arriving (whatever you think of them, supporters love a signing) and fans start getting the bug again just sums up the fools.
  14. Why will someone that left France 13 years ago and has never been a scout or a coach or has never lived or played or been a scout or coached in Belgium have ‘an extensive network of contacts across Belgium and France?’ Because he’s French and because err France is near Belgium?
  15. The hounding of K-Hod has been just a tad OTT and its a shame that it would lead to him questioning his role. But generally if you are on there to ‘help the situation’, don’t bother as it truly is a ‘waste of everybody’s time’ as it makes no tangible difference when you are sat across the table from slippery chancers like Swag.
  16. ‘Best sales ever’ wasn’t it a month or so ago? 4,000 adult tickets 🤷‍♂️
  17. Rudy Gestede was brought in as Head of Football Operations and it is hoped the club will benefit from his extensive network of footballing contacts across France and Belgium Sure he has.
  18. Night games in term time are going to be even more like the Mary Celeste
  19. 'MG asked if the club could do more to encourage new fans rather than concentrating on renewals and lapsed fans. FR responded that staffing numbers meant that they had to concentrate on renewals.' What a ridiculous set-up.
  20. Every Bank Holiday game is being shown, so Leeds NYD and Sunderland Boxing Day will be on - though possibly at 3pm. Something ‘kill’, something ‘golden goose’.
  21. No chance even if he was available most weeks as he just doesn’t have Sammie’s drive and attitude.
  22. ‘The most important thing was that we came through the two games without any injuries. You can see the squad’s quite thin, so if any of our senior players do come off the pitch it is a worry.’ What a place to be in when the season kicks off a week on Friday
  23. I’ll let roverandout off partly as he loves his Eng-er-land, but not for spamming us with Newcastle goals.
  24. Newcastle and England goals??
