  1. Lots of Rovers out here in Germany.
  2. Back from the AGM and as promised will give my thoughts. Firstly, as a Trust member I was originally a little concerned that the whole “hosted at Brockhall” thing was a little “too close to comfort”. That didn’t actually feel like it mattered, it was in essence a meeting room with good parking. It was a shame to see so few people in the room but great to hear there was 3,000 people watching the live stream, which sounds like an incredible number. We started with a Q&A with Gestede and Eustace. There was the opportunity to write down and submit questions before they arrived, I didn’t because I was running a touch late and in all honesty I didn’t have any off the top of my head. I must say, Steve the interviewer was clearly very starry eyed over both Eustace and Gestede. I’d have liked to see someone simply asking the questions submitted rather than adding their input and opinion which for me watered down the questions. That combined with the threat of “I’ve got yellow and red cards for any questions that are worthy” meant it was all very very tame, which was perhaps fitting for the occasion. The Q&A section finished with a quite surreal moment as Gestede was asked if he was concerned he might have brain damage from heading Craig Conway’s crosses. I didn’t think the questions asked gave the best view of the fans if I’m honest. Next up a section from the Chair who gave a top line overview of the last 12 months, approving elections and the trusts accounts, which was concise and to the point. Duncan was then brought in for what I found most interesting as he discussed the MOU with the club, the work the Trust had done with STs and the sales this year. He asked for a show of hands of “positive or negative” on the season ticket pricing and it was overwhelmingly positive, it felt like perhaps four of us felt the pricing was negative. Good to hear ST early bird sales are up even though retention is currently down at 76(?)%. Would be interesting to know how many of those sales are juniors on the cheap tickets. Duncan explained how almost everything at the club is based on financial targets and data, all of which are tracking as increases. Then Steve came back up for what was a clearly well researched “history of the Rovers” PowerPoint, which was interesting but I’m not sure what the relevance was to a club AGM. I’d have personally much rather listen to Duncan for another 30 minutes. Or ask random Q&As with Eustace and Gestede.
  3. Just back, will post some comments later, I think on-stream Duncan mentioned a 76%(?) renewal rate which I found interesting.
  4. Because despite selling our training ground, Kaminski, Raya, Wharton, Armstrong, Phillips and letting Brereton, Dack, Rothwell, Lenihan all leave on free transfers there’s no money! It’s economics done the Waggott way.
  5. Because the average 23 and 24 year old within 5 miles of the ground is struggling and doesn’t have much spare money.
  6. Sad to hear this Mike, suing someone almost always means everyone has suffered in some capacity. Hope there’s a quick and easy resolution.
  7. If so, it's going to be a struggle watching every game on TV nevermind in the stadium this year.
  8. My summer is completely ruined.
  9. Watson Ramsbottom I think.
  10. Should say this in the privacy of the BRFCS owners group, but is it viable for us to set up a sponsor removal service in protest? Find a provider that can do it, get a cheap price based on bulk orders, fans send us their shirts with return postage and we handle the removal?
  11. Wait, is Chilwell fit? I had assumed he was injured! How have we ended up with no fit left back in a full squad? We should have taken Chilwell, Mitchell at Palace or even Davis at Ipswich until Shaw was fit. Nobody can tell me all three of them aren’t good enough for Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia.
  12. M&S have some fantastic men’s clothing in at the moment. They’ve just hired Reiss’s top designer and it shows, some lovely summer pieces at great prices and quality.
  13. I'd love to get clarification as to what "smashed" means. It sounds like I don't want fans to buy season tickets - which for the record categorically isn't the case - but as a % I would say the verb "smashed" can be used at +25% increase?
  14. Someone’s told Waggott it’s a great idea because he’s a club legend and the fans will relate to it. I guarantee it. To be honest, fans like you and I are in the minority. He’ll be paraded around the pitch and cheered.
  15. If I wasn’t a fan there’s no way I’d sign for this basket case.
  16. Nothing spent last year due to owners issues (4M) Adam's sale (18M) Raya's sell on fee (4M) Phillips sale fee (2M) Kaminski's sale fee (2.5M) Increase of TV revenue (4M) Szmodics inevitable sale (12M) Dolan, Hyam, Gallagher, Sigurdsson all in their final years. Anything less than 20M and I call bullshit on the entire operation.
  17. Pasha is joining the Trust's meetings with Rovers, not the AGM, is my understanding.
  18. Great! Will he be answering some questions? If so: "Hello Rudy, delighted you could join us. I'm interested to hear - in your Head of Football role - how you would approach a player being paid an incredible amount of money by this football club but refusing to play and working with rival teams to try and push through a transfer away from Rovers that doesn't reflect their true market value?" "Rudy, according to your LinkedIn, which you keep up to date, prior to your appointment here you have not taken a Managerial, Head of or Directors role at any other business, never mind football club, in the UK. As Head of Football, do you believe Rovers are in a position to hire inexperience in key roles?"
  19. 94/95 Blue and White / Red and Black I heard. Third shirt was described as “garish” by one person and “pink” by another. Putting the two together I assume it’s a bright pink.
  20. Have we had a @goozburger official update yet?
  21. I’ve never seen a striker so instant on not facing the opposition goal as Kane.
