  1. Or wingers! No wonder we can't score!
  2. Dentistry has come on since then eh?!!
  3. Silly me, thinking that if you liked a post you agreed with its content!
  4. I'll ignore the "comprehending" insult. I'm not sure that there has been a "clamour" for Chapman to be chosen.I think you're exaggerating there. There has been some bewilderment though that he was signed so many months ago and he's never featured since. The circular argument that you haven't seen him on the pitch for a year or more and therefore you can't judge him begs the real question. Why haven't we seen him in so long? Is he seriously injured? Was he seriously injured when we signed him? Surely you remember him from first time round. He was terrific, skilled, pacy and exciting. We were all delighted when he signed ( I'm confident in saying that) so what's happened?
  5. I've always assumed they were hanging on till we got back into the Premiership and they could recoup their losses. Once they realise they are unlikely to ever achieve this, their reaction may well be to cut their losses.
  6. I thought I just did "pal". Many knowledgeable fans on this site. Perhaps you've had thoughts of your own from time to time? Doesn't mean I'm chasing his job though!
  7. I remember at that time, they were linked with just about every player in the League and made signing after signing. Big fees too! I thought at the time that "this madness will end in tears"! Never really recovered have they? Kept their fans though I suppose.
  8. Sounds awfully to me like you've written him off! Just like the manager who signed him!
  9. I'm not making anything up. You liked a post that dismissed Chapman as a player, but when I asked "why TM signed him" you said he has "potential"! My point is, what sort of manager signs players he seemingly has no intention of playing? Chapman is is one, Brereton is another.
  10. If Rovers folded, I would cease to be interested in football and would follow no-one. I simply could not support another team. I imagine Bolton fans would feel the same. This might well change with new generations over time but Boltoners would be much more likely to gravitate to Manchester. In fact, I'm certain of it.
  11. But above you "like" the post that basically says he's hopeless and to my post he's'a young lad with potential". See below!! I've asked this question more than once and never got an answer----"Why did Mowbray sign him?" You've written the player off so what's that say about the manager?
  12. I've asked this question more than once and never got an answer----"Why did Mowbray sign him?" You've written the player off so what's that say about the manager?
  13. The announcements are absolutely deafening. Ridiculously so.
  14. I think Mowbray is in the same position as you but at least you're not paid to do it! He's collected the players he wanted and trying desperately trying to find a system that suits them. it should be the other way round.
  15. That is garbage. Both those managers went back to basics when they started with us but both knew what they were doing and built from there. In any case, they were at the start of their tenure with us, picking up the shambles their predecessors had left them., Mowbray is almost 3 years in and has got us little nearer to where we should be.
  16. I agree, you've made a sound criticism of the set-up there.
  17. I'm confused, are you arguing we won?
  18. £12M on 2 strikers, 3 goals in 5 games----1 pen, 1 og.
  19. We can go for promotion AND in the meantime improve the atmosphere AND devise plans to attract more fans (don't think Waggot is bothered about that though).
  20. I heard an interview with an EFL executive where she stated that Dale met the requirements of their rules! Provokes the obvious comment---why did no-one at the EFL realise the rules were no bloody good?
  21. Well we're not bound by a campaign on here some time ago are we? In any case some people would have supported it, some wouldn't. We rarely have unanimity on here you know! Having had experience of it we're entitled to conclude it has made the atmosphere at the ground worse and is a bad look. Or not! But I agree the biggest single factor is the size of the crowd and that will only improve with promotion.
  22. Rovers really should put away fans in Darwen End Lower. Improve the sterile atmosphere. Its a terrible look on TV too, looks as if there's nobody there.
