National league and North and South

I will be contacting him when Swag goes (hopefully not too far away). -
Too right. I just can't understand why people take a post serious when it's clearly humorous and therefore harmless. Too much moral high ground taking for me.

National league and North and South
arbitro replied to Rogerb's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I read that two clubs hadn't yet cast their votes in the NL and the story said that the clubs who voted to end the season might just refused play like Dover have. It's a real mess. By the way the Chief Executive of the three leagues is a Rovers fan and local lad. -
Mowbrays Successor
arbitro replied to Darwen Rover 007's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Simply not true. They are putting money in to keep us afloat after their poor management for a decade. And the last three managers have come from the same agency of which two of the directors are ex SEM. No lessons learnt whatsoever. -

In the managers words Nyambe was dropped for 'no reason'. I really didn't want to start go dislike Mowbray but this nonsense is making it difficult not to. If you are of an angry to Mowbray disposition please don't read this. https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19100064.no-reason---mowbray-nyambe-exclusion-barnsley/ -

Pep and Carlo will have told him to play a three because that's what they want their youngsters schooling in. 😁😁 -

How many games has Bennett played after his long lay off? I'd wager he invents some phantom injury for Nyambe who has once again been treated awfully by Mowbray. And after Branthwaite and Lenihan were abysmal against Nobbers they keep their places. Still Pep and Carlo will be chuffed. -
Although it will be to our detriment part of me hopes Nyambe does leave as I firmly believe that with some proper coaching he could become a Premier League player. Along with Lenihan he started in Mowbrays first game four years ago and it's fair to say neither have kicked on like many thought they would. That, to me speaks volumes for the standard of coaching at Rovers.

Other football league 2020/21 season

I think the decision will be entirely his but his day job and the responsibilities that goes with it might force his hand. It was pretty much handbags but from a referees perspective he has completely lost control and that shouldn't happen. What hasn't helped him is the fact he didn't send Judge off. If what was said was enough for him to react like he did then surely he should have shown Judge the red card. As it was he cautioned him for what to me appeared to be simulation. -

From memory pretty much every away game had a special train or Ewood Express Nick. It was always exciting getting off the bus on the Boulevard and seeing lots of Rovers fans milling about outside the station. And arriving at the destination and coming out of the station was always good but we were usually met with a police escort straight to the ground. I've often wondered what the take up would be if they ran specials now. -

Nothing wrong with it - I was describing the shape of the badge I had to somebody. -

I have worked with Darren many times in the past and he is a really easy going, placid type. He is a high ranking RAF officer too. Something was said that triggered off his aggression and reaction. For me there are two potential endings to this. He will either be suspended or he will resign of his own volition embarrassed by his loss of control. -

They did various shapes but mine was rectangular with rounded corners. I can't remember which outlet we got them from (maybe the portacabin on Nuttall Street which doubled up as the Commercial offices) but I distinctly remember a mate buying one that was claret and blue. Once we pointed it out and ripped the piss out of him he shot back and exchanged it. 😁😁 -

You could well be right Andy. We were also at that game, perhaps even the same coach. That was the game when Roger Jones made probably the best ever save I have seen live. I also remember some Forest fans taking the piss out of my Rovers OK badge sewn on my Levi's jacket. -
This has been posted before but perhaps now is an opportune time to remind everybody about Waggotts past. He dipped his toe in the water as an agent and will undoubtedly have an extensive contact list as a result of dealing with them. https://www.followfollow.com/forum/threads/andy-cole-paul-elliott.140578/

Does anybody of a certain vintage remember RATC? It was an acronym for Rovers Away Travel Club and although it pretty much bombed I remember getting my membership card. It originated at a supporters meeting with Ken Furphy and the then commercial manager Keith Cafferty. The idea was to offer subsided travel to away games and at the meeting there were lots of enthusiastic young Rovers fans (including me and several mates) who signed up to it. As I said it died a death but I remember Furphy at the meeting bouncing lots of ideas around. -
That (and many other) interviews are an insult to each and every Rovers fan whether they back him or not. In my view he is in the life raft not and it's sprung a leak. He's desperately trying to bale the life raft out now. The interview, in my book is inflammatory and it's the 'I know better than you' tone which really grates with me. He has become condescending towards us and the club in general and is coming across as disrespectful. That said I still don't believe there is a chance he will be sacked by anybody. His much vaunted ethics and virtues should be the defining aspects in his future but after the last few weeks I'm beginning to think all this 'good human being' stuff is a charade to feed to the media.

Not for the first time Mowbray throws Nyambe under the bus. He doesn't even refer to him by his name. Shocking, shocking management.
-
I'm sure John that Mowbray would have dropped Pep, Carlo and Jurgen into the conversation. Balaji would have been orgasmic with that.
-
Your stoicism and support of him is admirable but keeping him until the end of the season is folly. Get him out and give a new manager time to plan. With a potentially huge turnover in the squad we are facing a real crossroads and allowing Mowbray more time will just damage the club even more in my view. His favourite 'journey' phrase will just go on and on if we stick with him.
