Jimmy Kerr was a phenomenal talent who joined Rovers for £60,000 from Bury at the age of 20. He'd already played over 100 games for Bury with something like a 1 in 4 goal record - some record for a midfielder. A knee injury did for him after just about a dozen games for Rovers - a crying shame for a terrific talent.
