  1. Past hour
  2. Absolutely…death of a thousand cuts, boiling frog…incremental decline.
  3. When I read this post, I had a closer look at the steelwork. The paint is peeling so badly that I don't think it can be painted. I think this was brought up at a Fans Forum meeting years ago but Waggott gave a made up quote and did nothing about it. From my experience, I think all the paint will have to be blasted off down to the steel and repainted. I doubt that there is enough time in the close season to put up scaffolding to do it so a very big cherry picker will be needed. Alternatively the stands will need to be closed one by one whilst the work is done. To do this on all the stands is a huge job. When Oyston was ousted at Blackpool, one of the first jobs the new regime did was to get all the steelwork painted. They have the added problem of corrosive salty sea air. Wainwright Bridge is painted every 10 years. Rovers stands haven't been painted for more than 30 years. The time for basic maintenance has long since passed.
  4. I like Ohashi and he's done ok, nothing amazing I wouldn't say. I think he struggles to lead the line in general and our attack is quite poor overall. No reason not to try something different.
  5. Completely different world over there. In their eyes we're the serfs that threw a snow ball at them.
  6. Would be an incredible bit of business if we managed to get someone even worse than Gueye.
  7. Yep, that RoversXtra account picked it up within a couple of hours of it being posted on here
  8. So what we've ascertained from these court proceedings over the... fuck me, years... is that the way the Venkys run our team isn't a 'them' problem. It's a cultural Indian problem.
  9. He won't. As a rule we don't sign better players than what we already have, so I expect an output that is less than Ohashi and Gueye.
  10. I hope so too, but looking at his results there’s nothing to base this hope on
  11. Yes .. I will be boycotting too ! I felt the disgust at Derby , fans with snakes chanting at Eustace whilst the 3 real crooks were sat in the main stand , laughing at them . Suhail and Gestede should reap the world wind in every game ,we play at home or away ! Waggott even chatted to fans on one of the service areas ,I believe .
  12. Kargbo shouldn't be starting games for me. He's only useful to bring on if we're a goal up and leave him on the half way line as an outlet.
  13. Getting the band back together. Ben Marshall as events planner? Jason Lowe as ‘covering every blade of grass’ coach?
  14. Coming soon I imagine. Rudy's pal will have to "earn" his wage somehow.
  15. Yeah, maybe. Kargbo had a bad game last time out but he gets in the right positions. Think we need to perceivere with him a bit, especially if we are playing on the break. Not sure how quick Gujonsen is.
  16. Today
  17. David "Get real" Dunn and Colin "Kean's mate" Hendry?!
  18. If we did they weren't very good. Think most of our loans out last year flopped.
  19. This 150th game is the regime's opportunity to paint an image of normality to the world. They'll be expecting a bumper crowd of people to turn up for the 'special' occasion, probably stick some Rovers 'legends' on the pitch before the game, wear a special shirt. This will all make them look and feel legitimate. I agree the best, probably only way, for supporters to send a message to them and the watching people on Sky, is to not turn up for it. I also appreciate that is everyone's own choice and might not be acceptable to some. So ultimately we will get a half-way house. We won't get a total boycott of the game or a ridiculously low crowd, but the ground will be more than half empty, which tells a story in itself for what should be a significant occasion in our history. Personally even ignoring the 150th stuff the ignominy and humiliation of sitting there as our former manager, captain and half our side turn up for Derby, and imbeciles around me in the stands booing/blaming them for our demise, is enough to ensure I stay well away from Ewood, as I genuinely would not be able to go and sit there without either falling out with someone or walking out in disgust.
  20. What a coincidence that all the dots are joining again just at the same time there is a massive player and staff turnover resembling the early Venky era.
  21. All gone quiet with the protest groups?...anything happening/planned Glen as these Clowns continue to swing their Wrecking Ball at what is left at Ewood.
  22. If Toth keeps playing well he'll probably be the next 2 mill plus sale.
  23. Wasn't that first posted by @Kjell on here before Twitter picked it up?
