  1. Past hour
  2. I watched the replay over and over and couldn't decide. Ref has an instant call and no VAR. I thought he defintiely got it wrong in the 1st half -trip on Alebiosu that wasn't (excellent subtle fall by their defender) -but of course Alebiosu didn't score anyway and I think he got his shot off after the ref blew the whistle. All academic now -1-1 would have been fair, but if you can't defend properly...
  3. Seeing as income does not impact the budget, I am sure you are right ๐Ÿ˜‰ Just finished the Glen Mullan pod, I must have missed it at the time, but apparently Pasha has never even asked Venkys about the possibility of Rovers using x% of any money from transfer fees received to build the squad!
  4. Not convinced Cheadle is even a town, more like a village.
  5. From memory Eustace wasn't seen at any apart from the afternoon kick off matches at the Academy when he and some colleagues could be seen watching. It used to be that if extra numbers were required for first team training the under 21 coach would recommend them.
  6. Totally inexplicable that a right winger has not been identified and brought in worse again that a striker isnโ€™t even on the agenda and just for the hat trick it looks very likely we will be replacing Travis with a player who either now or some stage soon will be out for 12/16weeks inept
  7. @Simon Garners I don't know what a Brummie Burger is but the skull and crossbones following that probably means it was nasty ๐Ÿ˜‚. Everything has changed at St Andrews including the catering. There are food vendors and bars all around the ground. You don't have to queue for ages to get served and place your orders using machines on the walls and pay using card and take your number to the counter. People can order for half time before the start of the game. I must admit I generally don't eat at the ground as it's quite expensive but the gourmet burger was quite nice. Your clubs situation is sad. If no one protests then you only have yourselves to blame and have accepted second best. There's honestly no point sitting on message boards moaning about the situation. Be proactive and do something about it. From reading the posts here it seems your fans have conceded defeat. I dread to think where we would have been if we had got relegated under the previous owners.
  8. He's the best youngster we've produced since duff. He deserves a thread

  10. But look on the bright side, you get pie, peas and a pint.
  11. The last money Venkys sent over was to cover contractual and statutory obligations for March - June. I think our transfer dealings are now with the intent of โ€˜keeping the lights onโ€™. Iโ€™d be amazed if we spend even a tiny fraction of any more fees we bring in.
  12. And yet nearly a quarter of your recent posts (dating back to April) are on this topic
  13. They donโ€™t count, didnโ€™t you know? Its only about ยฃ40m and we donโ€™t get it all at once.
  14. Having seen the shirt in real life and dealing with clothing as a full time profession, I'd like to endorse the quality of the garment. The colours, the collar stitching, the cuffs, hem stitch is all of a high standard. Sign me up for one Ian!
  15. Of course, what idiots we are, the focus of the Regime as ever is to keep costs down for fans, offer great value and strengthening connections between fans and club. Anyone who thinks this is just a cynical cost cutting scheme really needs to get their facts right. I applaud their honesty and transparency. Praise the communication!
  16. We have decided to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Rovers with another retro shirt...we've done 1970's, 1960's & so now we're doing...that's right...the 1950's! Pay your tribute to Ronnie Clayton, Bill Eckersley & Bobby Langton amongst others by wearing our shirt (complete with reversed halves & halved sleeves!) with extreme pride. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™ All the details are HERE - we are taking orders until 2nd September so don't miss out - order now & be ready for the anniversary match at Ewood. OVERSEAS CUSTOMERS - please email media@brfcs.com & we will work out bespoke postage for you...
  17. Presumably when they went to cancel, Sky did their customary price drop offerโ€ฆ and said offer was still too expensive ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
  18. Summer transfer news , seems to have fallen off a cliff , anybody think like me that the powers that be , will be doing sweet FA until Friday August 29th at the earliest ? Then scrambling for a Bournemouth and Boscombe young reserve team player , that nobody else is interested in !
  19. Sometimes we transition multiple times within a season too.
  20. Today
  21. I honestly believe this season we could easily lose the first seven league fixtures . The squad is bereft of talent ,most of the new signings are from relegated clubs in leagues below our present status. Perfect storm is brewing !
  22. Always love this thread having new posts! I canโ€™t wait for the next update on when a bloke who plays for Crystal Palace completes a passโ€ฆ
  23. SBI is the State Bank of India. We (or Venkys at least, to fund us) certainly do borrow from them quite a lot (I think in the fairly early days we stopped using Barclays, I might be misremembering but I think they weren't really willing to sign off on an increased overdraft facility). I don't know how much of what they send us is borrowed from SBI though. They've borrowed with their land in India as collateral before.
  24. Speaking NFL here's a Guardian article on Man U's plan to have the UK government help them build their new stadium by funding the relocation of a freight rail hub; Guardian: Man U want government help I really liked this article. I've seen it countless times over here. Greedy owners threatening to move unless they get a free brand spanking new place to play, then keep all the profits from it.
  25. So one of the Blues Bar membership benefits include watching games involving Rovers that you could stay at home and watch on YouTube. I would certainly be looking at the t&c's and potentially asking for a refund. Surely if it's too expensive for the Blues Bar they can't afford it in other areas of the ground.
  26. I was there 14 years ago standing outside Ewood on a Friday night straight after work in the freezing cold. Chanting for venkys out. Giving up my Sunday mornings to go on a protest march then during match day handing out leaflets before the game. All we got was murmers of what's the point or you're only ruining our chances of avoiding relegation. Rovers fans are the most apathetic in England
