Premier League table is dully predictable yet most games are extremely competitive. The table writes itself even with two weeks to go to kick off and a month of the transfer window to go: Champions Liverpool or Arsenal- both are significantly strengthened Champions League City and Chelsea - both have too many ? to be obvious title winners European places scrap Brighton if they are only average on the injuries front (they lost nearly twice as many minutes as the second most injured squad last season) Spurs - better manager and some decent signings United - Cunha and Buemo are too hot in combination for the scum to have as bad a season again Forest, Villa and Newcastle - underwhelming transfer business but enough strength in depth Could join the European places scrap with a good season and refs not being biased against them Bournemouth, Fulham, West Ham, Palace Relegation fight (and I think it could be a proper fight to avoid the drop for the first time for a few seasons) Burnley, Leeds, Sunderland, Everton, Wolves, Brentford - the promoted teams have done good business and the other three haven't.

Weird week ahead. Knowing us, the two players to be signed today won't happen and will drag on. Might have said good bye to Brittain (certain), Pears, Travis and Buckley before we go to West Brom plus some youngsters out on loan. Gut feeling we will have a wild card incoming. Perhaps Mercer on the wing? -

Given the SPL season has already started, I can't see any reason for Miller not coming straight into the side. Ditto Henriksson coming from mid-season Sweden who could be preferred over Hedges. Expecting the unexpected in the starting line up. Kargbo and Gueye coming on in the 60th minute is pretty certain though. -
1. Winners of the Championship Ipswich 2. Automatic promotion (runners-up) in the Championship Southampton 3. Four Play off semi-finalists in the Championship Leicester City, Sheffield Utd, Middlesbrough, Coventry City 4. Three relegated sides from the Championship Sheffield Weds, Hull City, Oxford Utd 5. Where will Rovers finish in the Championship? 18th 6. First Championship club to change manager (after the season starts) Sheffield Weds 7. Winners of the Premier League Arsenal 8. A notable wild card prediction of something that will happen in the Rovers universe during the season (e.g. Donald Trump visits Ewood Park) Valerien Ismael is NOT the manager by 1st March 2026

The smile and the handshake the car salesman gave you, as he sent you packing with your new car and his wallet full of dodgy commission. Its the same at Ewood, smile, let them know that all is well, when in reality, they take the fans for mugs. Some will accept that, without question, whilst others will question it and try to call them out. Who is the better fan? Thatβs a question for our own conscience. -

They really do take us for mugs, even though it is as clear as day that the only game being played behind closed doors at Ewood since the Venky Curse landed is 'Deckchairs on the Titanic'. 'Women and children first'. "Keep playing, orchestra, to maintain morale". 'No, the ship is Unskinkable', we are merely offloading passengers to conform to the rules at sea when dealing with icebergs.' 'It wasn't an iceberg... it was a snowball.....' Some of us are awake, on deck, and can hear the roar of the ocean pouring in. Sadly we won't be around in 100 years when the wreck is discovered and pored over as a curiosity by whatever passes for football fans in the future. VENKY CRETINS AND THEIR STOOGES OUT!! -

I really dont get how showing frustration that Brittain etc should have been offered new deals last year considering that Gestede was here for that time is excluding him from blame. Plus he will be well aware that nothing has changed as we still havent renewed any contracts. Beside extending Ribeiro's strange initial 6 month deal. -

"We made a good deal but we missed the chance to extend Callum before my time. I think if we made the same offer one year ago, we wouldn't have been in that situation . We are still dealing with situations from the past . Now we have a clear line internally, we tried everything to keep him" After the game in Holland . -

England must have historically the largest number of players abroad in its History by a long way now. There were quite a few big names away when we were banned from europe in the eighties. But the quantity of english players across the skill levels on the continent is a really new phenomenon. IMO Spain, Germany and France being so dominant in international football is very closely connected to the sheer quantity of players they have in the Champions League at clubs far and wide. I think those nations are getting 2x + more CL minutes than English players. Hopefully the exodus of english talent will address that balance to some degree. Edit - found this stat leaderboard... Pretty embarrassing that Switzerland and Belgium were ahead of us considering they only had one club each in the CL and they have populations around a fifth of englands.. -

True story. And then they seriously think that the passage of a few months, the summer break, a few new cheap signings and a new season makes it all ok and that we should just forget the events of the last couple of years and move on. Some people might be able to close their minds to it and get on with it but I can't, not when the creators of all the above are still in place. Any changes are superficial and cosmetic whilst the owners and their stooge remain.
