  1. Past hour
  2. A while back you said they were playing for him, do you now think he lost the dressing room? He made the wrong man captain amongst many other issues
  3. Agreed it's not fair to try and push him into the hotseat if he doesn't really want it regardless of how the next few go. It would be fantastic if he could steer us away from the drop and stay on till summer but it's a massive task with this squad who lack so much quality if not desire. He did a good job as U23 boss and has obviously done a good job in the role hes in given the amount of young that have come through and held their own at various points. Hes a part of that process and long may it continue.
  4. That doesn't rule out Steve Kean.......
  5. That's rather irrelevant at the minute those days are long gone. The odds would say we'll be likely looking at trying to bounce back from league 1 next season because they won't bring in a fire fighter short term. Not aimed at you but it's bonkers how people are talking about things as if we are looking for a head coach with the aim being the play offs next season. We are a million miles away from that and need to be thinking what happens now and what happens if this lot do drop.
  6. He is spot on to be fair, Andri is the only one who you can even remotely think about putting it on his head from a long free kick. Ohashi and Jorgensen ain’t that.
  7. Good to have you back chaddy. Never in my 20yrs+ of being on here have I seen anyone ‘name checked’ as much as you during your absence 💪 I hope you’ll be visiting the politics thread at some point soon 🤣
  8. Well one of them would....... and did!
  9. You’re thinking of Frank Lord.
  10. We’ve had so many good players… I imagine him and Tronstad would’ve done a job back then and now!
  11. I always really rated him as a player and thought he was very under-appreciated by Souness. From what I can gather he's a fairly shy unassuming character so that probably didnt particularly endear him to the boss.
  12. Skubala is a good shout. In our predicament plucking the best from the league below is most realistic way to go
  13. Glad to see Chaddy back, you need characters on a place like this. Much like Merce has his place too, keeps it interesting! Even the ever 'parochial' Vinjay!
  14. Having seen Damien Johnson’s interviews he comes across as a thoroughly decent guy. The sort of person that used to be synonymous with Blackburn Rovers. However he does seem more suited to a technical role ( a role he says himself he loves). I don’t see him as the kind of motivator, energiser and leader that we need from our next manager. He should absolutely be part of Rovers going forward but we need something different as our manager
  15. Today
  16. Maybe it’s the couple of pints after work but I watched the pre match for the weekend and I just think we’re in better hands already. Below is a snippet; https://www.instagram.com/reel/DUYoxPmDmDh/?igsh=MTB0M3I1cnl5eWRzMQ== Tactically, there’s no way to know from the outset but he did talk about effort and endeavour, getting the crosses and creating chances - something VI never even mentioned, he couldn’t fit that around the complaints about fitness or referee decisions (remember his list?) This isn’t advocating for DJ, I just loved hearing about how he sends his kids to local schools and talks about the working class values of the town. There won’t be any excuses, and that suits me.
  17. What's this Lee Bowyer bollocks? He'd be much worse than sticking with Ismael.
  18. No. I wouldnt delay the urgent process of a new manager upon a solitary result. And that doesnt mean rushing it. It should be a single minded approach to get the best manager possible in the quickest time possible. That shouldnt change.
  19. It was good while it lasted.
  20. We’ll probably end up with Gracia or Cifuentes. Something with a c in it.
  21. Haha, welcome back Chaddy 😅
