  1. Past hour
  2. we have the money, given the fact we`ve raked in millions from outgoing transfers in the last three seasons and there is a new tv deal for all championship clubs, they are all spending on wages and players while we are shopping in farm foods,it`s going to relegate us imo qpr spending very while we spend loose change on 2nd division players from around europe
  3. That thought process has been the downfall of many an overconfident team. Remember Spuds at Cardiff ?
  4. Sorry to be Mr Negative but I thought we were tripe against West Brom. Tons of possession, did zero with it, one shot in 99 minutes. Once Albion got their goal they were happy to sit back and let us have the ball, seemed to cotton on we didn't know what to do with it.
  5. Yes it is. Wharton is a very, very good player but not Real Madrid starting 11 to replace Luka Modric standard.
  6. Just been told and forgive me if it’s already been posted but .. when Travis leaves that will mean there will have been over 1500 championship appearances leave the squad this summer and about 100 brought in
  7. He'll sit on the bench on better wages and be brought on when they are 1 nil up on 60 mins i'd assume.
  8. We didnt create a chance of note (most we managed was a half chance for Ohashi) against West Brom, having seen them rip us apart for half an hour before retreating. I would suggest that is pretty poor.
  9. We didn't play poorly at WBA and with Cantwell to come back in - maybe Tavares replacing Travis - I don't see any reason why we shouldn't beat a newly promoted team from League 1. 2-0 Rovers.
  10. Understand it's a bit psychological with Leonard - too apprehensive to push himself too hard. Can understand where he is after two serious back injuries (stress fractures?) as another one might be career threatening.. There's only one way to find out and the lad needs to bite the bullet.
  11. Cozier-Duberry with another screamer for Bolton tonight…
  12. they don't want to sell.... rather they can't sell... too many skeletons and thier bank SBI can't swallow the scandal during this period ... only way this is happening is someone with serious muscle in INDIA pressures them to sell. praying hard.
  13. Lots of bigging up Birmingham on here, are they really all that? To be honest I fear the referee more than them. Toth Miller Hyam McLoughlin Pickering Travis Tavares Hedges Cantwell De Neve Ohashi Yes, Travis. Should be reminded he is club captain and get on with business. If he's sold next week he's sold next week. He's still a rovers player, and I think he's professional enough to get that.
  14. I mean, that is pretty much all they'll have to do 🤷‍♂️
  15. 0 - 4 Brum. They won't even get out of 2nd gear.
  16. Today
  17. Finernan not even in the Newcastle under 21 squad
  18. Worrying for Rovers future - if there wasn't enough to be concerned about. That's our strong line-up; wait 'til players head out on the injury/loan carousel. Is Valentin Jospeh still around - he might improve the forward line?
  19. Haven't they just signed Kone for a similar fee as well? Or is that the same deal? Either way we're getting left behind, even by run of the mill Clubs.
  20. I see QPR have just paid £2.5m for a winger. No chance we'll ever pay them sort of fees. Can't even compete with QPR now.
  21. Having never seen the man kick a ball, nor know anything about him beyond a cursory Google of 'fastest footballer' - I introduce to you Sirlord Conteh (great name). Plays both up front and on the right (big tick). No work permit required and only started 4 games for his club last year. He's Absolutely Rapid
  22. Fair do's to him. He was unemployed and he's picked up a job with 3.5 years guaranteed wages. Results don't matter, if he does well he's worked an absolute miracle and if he doesn't then can he really be blamed completely? He's irrelevant. We could have Ancelotti in charge and it wouldn't make any difference. The club has been as clear as they can be, there is no ambition to get promoted back into the Premier League. I honestly don't care anymore. They've never seen a penny of my money and they never will. This situation is not unique to Rovers either, there needs to be fundamental changes to the way football clubs are owned. Until that is changed there will just be more of the same. Fuck it. Roll on league one.
  23. It varies from player to player but I think there are certain occasions when you can be so definitive. Older supporters will remember strikers Dave Hargreaves and Paul Mckinnon coming in for trial games from Accrington Stanley and Sutton United respectively and looking completely out of their depth. Id seen enough of Grabbi after one game to conclude we'd been sold a complete dud at a vastly inflated price. I think I was 100% correct with that snap judgment but I got grief about it for ages because people didn't want to accept we'd been conned out of £7m. (How you doing USA? 🙂) For present purposes Im not sure who's said what about which player but I wouldn't be arguing with anyone who said De Neve or Montgomery were nowhere near the required standard. Tbh Henriksson could hardly have played worse so far either but he does appear to have a better pedigree so hopefully with him it's a case of settling in.
  24. After seeing Henriksson's and Gueye's abysmal performances last night, I've now changed my mind regarding the lineup: Toth Alebiosu Miller McLoughlin Ribeiro Tavares Tronstad Kargbo Cantwell De Neve Ohashi My patience is wearing rather thin with Kargbo as well but I'm still convinced he'd be much more of a threat on the right hand side making runs on the outside of defenders instead and crossing with his favored right foot. We would also be able to create overloads on the right flank using the mobility from Alebiosu, Tavares and Kargbo.
  25. sad to hear, I think someone did mention this. Hope he is well.
