Whether it lack of form, a lack of intensity, or innumerable other scenarios it's hard to pinpoint what Liverpool are doing wrong as seemingly every game it's something new. Against PSV last week they were woefully lazy, yet last night it was van Dijk making 2 mistakes in short time that cost them a goal. Slot has to fix it, but I think he's struggling too. What I see is a team that isn't working hard without the ball, and a team that's ponderous with it. For many minutes last night with Liverpool in possession is was like watching a handball match. They kept the ball for long periods passing it to the middle, out wide, then back to the middle again without ever getting the ball into the box. It's so easy to defend against. Last season Diaz and Nunez offered lots of running off the ball, but the midfield behind them did too and the personnel there has not changed, so why is it so bad? I can't see an upturn anytime soon. Slot needs to go back to early Klopp and go for 5-4 wins rather than last season's suffocation tactics.

"What is the point of Blackburn Rovers Football Club in 2025/26 other than to pay the wages of Suhail, Rudy and yourself?" -

Personally I wouldn't go to this if someone paid me £35, but, it might be useful if someone went along and sneakily taped proceedings in case there are any more gems similar to the "The play offs aren't our priority" comment from Gestede. -

I have a horrible feeling about this one - when was the last time we put in a clinical performance when expectation was high? -

Sadly, I don't think it would take Bannan much effort to get the better of Sidnei Taveres -
Do we know where/who the overdraft is with? If what's being put into the club is the bare minimum I think I'd rather that keep increasing than Venkys putting more money in themselves. Brings administration a possibility when the lender calls it in. Good to know pretty much all the season ticket revenue is going on paying interest on it... 😶

Rollercoaster of emotions today. Woke up early and was incredibly concerned at the start, then absolutely ecstatic with Root's batting and in love with the batting from Archer. Took me by surprise, after I'd completely resigned myself to the continuation of an expected batting collapse! How wrong I was. Fair play to England, they ended superbly today.

It's quite simple for me after having seen Wednesday play several times this season. Stop Bannon and a huge part of any threat they offer is nullified. -

The clearest sign yet that he’s sack-proof… - Today

That was a great way to end the first day. Every time a wicket comes for England you fear the worst - a collapse. Luckily Root played his own game today and didn't throw his bat around. Starting to get a little irritated with Brook. What a talent but he's throwing it away with this pursuit of ultra-aggressive batting. If he plays his way in he can score loads of runs. Root showing at the end what to do. There's a time and place to be aggressive. Him & Archer's partnership could be game defining. There's two thought processes for tomorrow - one part of me wants to stay in for as long as possible, maybe reach lunch as at the best case we can do. The other side of me says that may tire Archer out. Maybe it's best to keep throwing at it tomorrow morning with a hope to get a quick 30/40 runs and keep Archer fresh to come steaming in. Certainly a more interesting game than the first.

Its a poor league this season and we have played some good football at times. We need more of the same and no silly plays Gudjohnsen 2 Wednesday 0 -

Personally I think it's aimed more for corporates and sponsors given the price and I think the club will fear ordinary fans asking difficult questions. The recent Souness and Mowbray evening was £50 and I don't know anybody who went. The fairest way would be a ballot amongst season ticket holders but fairness seems to have been removed from the Ewood vocabulary. -
I'd still be in if I was Captain, I'd never have run that bloody single! But yes, I’ve had a ‘mare’ on the declaration.......I hope Archer bowls as well as he's batting!

A hearty amen to all that has been said- a must-win game, owls are L1 bound, etc. I look for the difference-maker- that would be Cantwell, if 100%. The guy we need production from- Ohashi. It’s been a month since he scored, vs Derby. The guy most likely to score: Gudjohnsen. The club did its work, getting this guy on-board. Prediction: Rovers, 2-1. I’m tired of fretting & catastrophizing every game. Can’t be anything else but a Rovers win. -
It's literally only a group of Rovers fans that insist this club disappears if Venkys disappear that can't grasp you can be competitive - and even successful - in this league if you have good operators and a well thought out plan. There's plenty of clubs in recent history getting promotion with smaller budgets, but they get ignored.

Desperate for cash. Noticed a lot this season, an event that might have cost a tenner with a pint thrown in is now 30, 40, 50 quid. -
