  2. Season tickets, season tickets, season tickets. If you only sell c9k of them, your 31,000 ground will always be empty for midweeks, in bad form etc as the walk ons just won’t be there. Now, you sell c12k STs and straight away their is a decent base to build on.
  3. Id fancy him over De Neve, & he would be a better fit at wing back (pace, energy, intensity & attack minded) than Ribeiro or Pickering Would be another feather in the cap of the Chorley loan pipeline too, he spent some time there last season
  4. Is he ready to push Hedges and De Neve do you think Been pleasantly surprised with how Pratt has stepped up. Doesn't do anything he can't do, keeps it simple.
  5. I love Wharton, and the eye test is more important, but I'm not sure why they're presenting those stats as if they're something amazing. Statistically, the defensive work aside perhaps, they represent a pretty standard performance for most midfielders.
  6. Not seen anything of these 135/15 signs that were meant to be displayed 😥
  7. Gudjohnsen won't be nearly half as productive in his goals return without Yuki doing all the running he does.
  8. This lot have a death wish it seems. Brook and Stokes both nicely settled and then doing something silly. The useless Smyth gone too. 250 all out?
  9. Which is why transfer window are just as important not only from a game perspective but for a fan perspective too. We want our moneys worth. ENTERTAIN US
  10. Awful by Stokes, never a run and Root saw that.
  11. It is true. Ewood park was the jewel in the towns crown. The beating heart. Though Ewood isn't the most aesthetically pleasing area in town it still radiated a presence of business and buzz. People wearing Rovers shirts in town on a Saturday with next game on everyone's lips.
  12. Instant disaster! Stokes run out. Pair seemed really settled too.
  13. I'm surprised they are willing to write that statement, or even someone is willing to approve/accept it. It would would probably take north of circa £200m investment into the first team, to get promoted and then stay up.
  14. £17 in the riverside for an adult the other week, £10 for adult bought by an ST holder the other night. People still don't turn up so that doesn't help the call for cheaper tickets i'm afraid. There's no dressing it up when we are shit people don't want to know and trying to combine cheaper deals when interest is at a modern era low is never going to increase support to a noticeable level. As pointed out many times they simply must do something radical with season tickets in order to increase core support nothing else works odd game aside.
  15. As I said, Baradji is currently an unknown but at first glance, he doesn't look anything special. Considering he was "the one" that they were desperately keen to sign, I was expecting a lot. Perhaps my expectations are too high. I'll give him his chance for sure though. McLoughlin is ok, championship experienced which is good but he's no great shakes. Poor in a 1 v 1 situation as well. Basically, we'd be better off had we kept Hyam. Mori is a good footballer as I said but he gets pushed off the ball very easily. I think he'll get better as the season goes on but he'll always struggle with the physicality of the league. Gudjohnson was completely anonymous vs Ipswich, only popping up to miss place a pass or screw up a counter attack. He works well, to a degree, with Yuki as Yuki does all the running and closing down, which leaves him free to nip into that space or peel off the back post etc. He clearly has a very good strikers instinct which is something we've not had for a while. All of his goals have come from having that instinct and knowing where to be at the right time, something you can see that none of our other strikers have but yeah, his all round game is pretty poor.
  16. Brook is vice captain, where's the responsibility in playing a daft shot like that? Good recovery after a disastrous start (Pope played another awful cross-batted shot) and Crawley played well but it's all or nothing with him - he's either very good or dreadful. A Test average of 24 in the past year or so says it all - he's lucky still to be playing Test cricket
  17. Today
  18. I will always stand by the fact towns/cities are heavily linked with how well the local football club is doing. If the club is doing well the town/city seems to do well, once the club starts on a downhill path so does the town.
  19. Great come back by Zak Crawley after a disastrous pair in Perth, that takes some bottle. If he could add some consistency to his game at international level he’d be one of the best ever, his stroke play, timing and vision at times is exquisite.
  20. Palace fans singing “Adam Wharton, he’s won more than you” to the dirty Dingles last night 👏
  21. This is the sort of game we struggle, when we have most of the ball and the other side sit in. Were more set up to play an Ipswich at home where were more like the away side. A must win if we have any desire to stay up, but banana skin written all over it.
  22. Strange. I read an article on this interview and it described him as being a present tense Blackburn Rovers scout
