  1. Past hour
  2. I mean, all players have bad games. We can hope Brittain has a poor game again when they play us, but by all accounts for most of this season he's very much been as good as them as he was for us in his final season or so. I'm expecting he'll come into the game with a bit of extra motivation to perform.
  3. If it's a digital ticket game, why on earth can they not be sold over the Christmas period online without the need for the Club to be open?
  4. A lot of Rovers fans will be wanting to go to this game with many making a last minute decision. It seems that both clubs are unwilling to be flexible enough to accommodate them. i don’t understand why they can’t be available online. Surely Ticketmaster doesn’t shut down for Xmas!
  5. Doesn't negate the fact that like his team mates he had a bit of a stinker at Bristol on Saturday. Hopefully we don't suffer from a rebound reaction on Boxing Day.
  6. You'd think one of the few benefits to an 'online only' or digital ticket regime would be that it would allow people to buy more flexibly and for the home club to more easily monitor demand and make decisions, as well as not having to worry about the problems of Christmas staffing and closures. I imagine part of this is that between now and 29th (we don't open Mondays for some crackpot reason) the shop and staff are probably only in for a few hours overall. But no, it seems the opposite is true and the unprecedented step of refusing to sell them for a whole 6 days over Christmas is the preferred course of action. Really odd behaviour from two skint and struggling clubs who need every penny and attendee they can get Anyhow, Sheff Wed obviously don't seem concerned about shifting a few hundred more tickets at £30 a pop plus concourse spending, and Rovers don't seem bothered about ensuring more fans can go and support the team as it battles relegation. So I again ask myself, why would I bother?
  7. Just tuned in to see whether Ryan was playing but on bench. Up front is Akor Adams, the big ghost signing of a few years past as announced by Mercer 😞
  8. First part, you're probably right. Second part, I doubt it is in real terms once you've taken away the Championship TV money.
  9. I was just chatting to some people today about the lack of home games and potentially going to this. Oh well.
  10. Really? At the moment, we have Tronstad sitting with Cantwell & Morishita either side of him, Baradji looks like he will eventually be pushing for a start as one of those a bit further forwards too. Yet nobody capable of filling in for Tronstad, barring Forshaw, who has to have 2 months off if he plays 2 games in a week Central midfielder needed, but a back up (and eventual replacement due to penny pinching) for Tronstad is what is required
  11. Today
  12. When people talk about not recognising this Club anymore.....
  13. The cricket we play at the moment in England is not conducive to producing spin bowlers.
  14. I would say we need 4-5 signings this window: - 1 center back to cover for the two who's currently injured (Carter, Wharton). O'Riordan will be recalled but I would still go for another one on a permanent. - 2 wing backs, one to compete for Hedges' position and the other to provide cover for Alebiosu. Litherland did well on his debut but it's still too early to make a call and rely on him as backup. - 1 central midfielder, preferably a box-to-box type - 1 striker to compete with Gudjohnsen / Ohashi Offload: Gueye (almost a certainty by now), De Neve (loan or permanent), Tavares (loan or permanent) Left wing back, central midfielder and striker are key areas. If we get those three right, then we might have a team capable of picking up points and wins on a more consistent level. Some other notes: Great to see academy players taking their chances and show their worth. Pratt and Atcheson looks very physical and capable of handling Championship football in that sense. Litherland at right wing back was a surprise package vs Millwall and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. Montgomery looked out of depth early in the season but made some decent progress before getting injured. Too bad about Tyjon's contractual situation as he's talented, would've liked to see him go out on loan to a L1 or L2 side to gain valuable experience. Our summer recruitment has really been a hit & miss so far. De Neve and Tavares biggest disappointments while Alebiosu has been our best player this season. Think Baradji will be really good as a powerful box-to-box midfielder once fully match fit.
  15. Agood christmas to all and hopd is a great new yezr with the Lord blessing
  16. If u are talking about Wharton. He's 6 foot
  17. At Rovers I thought he started well, went a bit shit, then never really got back to his earlier performances defensively. However he was brilliant going forward. Alebiosu is a much better defender and when he gets forward he's very good. I trust him defensively more than Brittain and I think we're yet to see the best of him.
  18. I admire anyone who can turn around after the events of the last 2-3 years and say that hand on heart they have been enjoying it. I suppose this takes us back to those who have the ability to ignore/set aside the off the pitch nonsense and focus purely on 11 lads running around on matchday, and their matchday 'experience', and those of us who don't have that ability and cannot help but become embroiled in the rest of it, knowing that there is something inherently wrong with the club and struggling to get past that fact. Personally it has filled me with dismay and rage at the way the club has operated and continues to operate, and unfortunately that has overridden any pleasure that there is to be had from watching games. The sad but inevitable consequence of that is to conclude that it isn't enjoyable. And when you reach that conclusion the obvious question is why do it? Even when JDT and Eustace had us competing at the top end and I started to enjoy it again it was burdened with the knowledge that our 'custodians' were always going to bring it to a swift end.
  19. i found it weird that o`riordan was highly rated at crewe but has been loaned out by our last two managers, despite him already impressing a lower level with crewe, hopefully he`ll come back here and fit in like pratt has
  20. More atmosphere than at Ewood.
  21. 🎻 🎻 🎻 🎻 🎻 🎻 🎻 🎻 What flannel. So basically.... "- I don't care about what happens off the pitch, I just 'back the boys' no matter what"
  22. I’m not sure our owners give a shit what league we are in anymore. The lower the league, the cheaper the operation.
  23. Lets hope it's the future formula for more positions.
  24. My first instinct when i saw the Alebiosu thread was bumped was "how bad is the injury" 🫣
  25. good, he can`t get injured warming the bench, which is my major concern
