  1. Past hour
  2. What sort of vanilla argument is that? You agree that "Venkys have been horrible owners in a lot of aspects" (interested in how that implys they have been good owners in other aspects---care to share that, I must have missed it?). "It's impossible to say we would be better off with other owners"--- of course it is! You're stating a hypothesis which is incapable of being contradicted! In the real world what's the chances of new owners being better than Venkys? 99.99999% recurring?
  3. Any of our players could get injured. That's what happens when you play football. Oh but we will lose the transfer income? That we have been told won't be reinvested? Yeh I don't give a shit.
  4. That's one of the best away shirts ever made. This new one is dog shit just like the two others.
  5. Yes that's what I was saying and have been saying for a long time. The only reason for the club to not offer that is that they're deliberately trying to prevent people from attending. There's absolutely nothing to stop them from offering paying cash on the door.
  6. Today
  7. Green ? Prefer it over the away tbf but still not keen
  8. We have Yuki Ohashi. Did excellent in his first season and played 6 months before in Japan. He would have 13/14 goals if not for the injury he got. We need to be more goal threat from set pieces also
  9. Well I read what I wrote but you could be right. Either way its a scandal.
  10. My goodness, think you really do live in a fantasy world!
  11. That's my sneaking worry, I have a feeling we'll implode right at the end of the transfer window, with the likes of Travis and/or Tronstad picked off at last minute as it'll be last chance to get a fee for them and won't be time to get a replacement, then I agree we'll be in big trouble. Especially if we still don't have a striker.
  12. Blimey have we actually signed an experienced defender?!
  13. I park my car by Millmoor when I go to Rotherham away. You can walk up and peak through the gaps in the fencing and it's like a weird time warp, it looks like it is falling to bits, but I think it is still used frequently for local sports.
  14. I'm underwhelmed by the home kit, partly because they didn't put much thought into it being an anniversary top, but mainly coz it's not proper blue and white halves or 'quarters', I don't know why they suddenly reverted to that and why the club ok'd it (I do know why, no one at the club gives a toss). I like the green kit a lot, I bought it. I like the colours, design, collar, everything really. I'm not sure about the yellow kit. I think from a distance it might just look like it's got dirt and sweat on it, as others have pointed out. It's not an aberration, it's just nothing too special. I'm surprised how divided we are as a fan base on the shirts, but it's not the end of the world. At least shirt chat is a welcome distraction from everything else going on. At this point, I would take our away kit being claret and blue with a big 💩 emoji on the front for the season if it magically rid us of these owners.
  15. I got my hopes up then that we were signing Bali Mumba. Cracking little player IMO.
  16. There was the Yasir guy, the new Marketing Sales Manager (Zach) and a few people involved in the design of the new kits. What was (mildly) interesting was learning that the current kit designs were commenced back in January 2024 - that's how long the process is. VI pointed to his Barnsley team, where they might have had the smallest budget in the league, but they were hard working, organised and worked as a team. Noted that momentum is (obviously) huge in competitive sport and that the squad had bought into what he'd been asking of them. Made a point of saying 'also set pieces' as a key part of the strategy, which would make a nice difference to recent seasons, I guess. There was more that's slipping my mind right now - and yes, a lot of it was generic manager speak - but I felt that he was being pretty open and honest. I quite like him. And the final several games of last season has bought him enough credit for a fresh start this season, imo.
  17. A great little player. Not saying Mumba is no good or that I wouldn't sign him based on height, but we have heard all summer about Ismael's "type" and he wouldn't seem to fit it.
  18. Yeah but half of Blackburn doesn't support Everton.
  19. I’ve just shown my lad (10) the kit and he said it’s the best Rovers kit he’s seen, opinions eh
  20. True dat. I agree it does often seem more like pure petulant stubbornness than good buisnesses negotiations
  21. In a word - no. To expand on that, they couldn't give a toss.
