Understand Rovers would like to snare (on loan) a forward from a leading PL club (already made 1st team debut). He's only young but an amazing talent who would get the fans out of their seats. The lad's in a different league to anything we have (including Tyjon) and it would be a real coup IF we managed to get him (if PL club let him out on loan there will be others also in for him). -
A 46th minute substitution means a half time change I.e. the sub comes on in minute 46. If it had been in injury it would say 45+whatever. That sounds like giving him a half to build his fitness.

Anecdotally speaking to people in the wild I think you’ll get a few boycotting but a good chunk cracking on, expect an attendance similar to a midweek game -

Seems he made his name at Derby with his best form in league 1 where you can get away with certain flaws and still look good. Got the big move but was out of his depth at Brighton and went downhill from there. That's why he's here being paid mostly by his own club to resurrect his career so they can get a few quid back for him. If he can settle down he might do ok but it doesn't help playing with a B side Christian Daily like McClaughlin. Lads like Cashin need a Hyam or a Batth next to them. -
Sheffield Wednesday fan to me in the office today ‘you are going down aren’t you’ In the past we have been quietly bad with people thinking we’ll be fine but others are starting to notice how bad we actually are!

Agree, Hanley was brainless at times. However, as a centre half he is 3 to 4 inches taller than Cashin, has amassed some 400 senior league appearances with a fair old few in the PL and represented his country for getting on 70 occasions. IMO, there is a big, big difference between the 2 players and I would wager Cashin will get nowhere near replicating Hanley's career/achievements. - Today

Watching James Hill and Van Hecke shaking hands. Remembering happier times when we were a proving ground for exceptional talent. Cashin isn’t going to replace Van Hecke and Dunk. He shouldn’t have replaced Pratt. An 18 year old scores an overhead kick for Brighton. If you are good enough you are old enough. -

Was Carter off injured or as a half time swap to manage his minutes? I can only see that he came off in the 46th minute according to livescore.com, dunno if that's after a minute of ET or the first minute of the second. From 1 up to a 4 goal capitulation second half. Looks like swapping Carter out for McIlroy caused problems. Nosegbe got on the pitch for Pitt in the 87th minute, and we conceded the final goal a minute later (after also conceding a minute before he came on).

To be fair Blackburn played six lads who were at school (u16) in second half.

He hasn't played 90 minutes in any champions league games. Most he's played is 69 mins against Sturm Graz but that was in August....he got 20 odd minutes against Dortmund early December. Played 70 odd minutes in a friendly last week days before he signed though. -

Who are the 13? Now Alebiosu is back. Gudjohnsen, Miroshita, Miller, Carter, Wharton, Montgomery, Litherland, Hedges, Pears. Kargbo and Tavares too although neither is remotely useful. Who are the 2 I have missed? -

Val says it's because we're a possession based team. Passing it forward risks losing possession, and we can't have that as they can't put "kept more possession" in the data on the end of year Powerpoint. -

Another long trip and another ground on which results have been mixed to say the least. Once again, travelling down in hope of a point and I think there is more chance of that here than at Ipswich. As for team selection - that's anyone's guess. However, I think the experience of Pickering and Ribeiro ought to be used more at the moment. Would be happy to see Pratt back in the team but I suspect Cashin plays because of the loan terms. -

Jorgenson won't start because he doesn't know the system. Mainly because he is a striker and the rest of the team don't know how to pass to one of those -

Only difference imo was Hanley was 6' plus but otherwise he was brainless as well and a liability at times but at least he was a tough lump with presence. -
