  2. More English players need to go abroad.
  3. As every good winger should be left foot on the left etc, whip balls in. ball is most dangerous around the penalty area and not edge of the box after a cut in!
  4. He was much improved last season. I didnt expect him to play such an important role in a team comfortably 5th in La Liga. A lot of people were prematurely suggesting that his agent didnt have his best interests at heart. I felt at the time that it was sour grapes and that the blame needed to be aimed internally at allowing the situation to end how it did. The move he has made couldnt have been much better for him.
  5. They’re playing him in his best position. None of this out on the left cutting inside bollocks.
  6. Agreed on Toth being our best keeper and that he should start. But if you are referring to the backpass in the first half, theres no way that you can put it down to Pears not communicating. It was poor of Pratt to be playing that pass in that situation, it was always going to be awkward to deal with and its confirmation bias to pin it on Pears.
  7. Suprising, as much as they have struggled still think he'd be your best bet to stay up in their position.
  8. The ideal scenario is everyone back like normal (to prevent a short corner etc) as soon as the player runs up to strike it - the defending team sprint out the box.. keeper catches it and then plays it up to the now attacking team - leaving a fast break of 8 on 2 etc.
  9. Selling Hyam how we did was negligent. To not bring in a senior centre back capable of starting games even in this window would compound that. If we dont, or we just bring O'Riordan back from a struggling League 1 side, its simply asking for trouble. Our centre back options are still sub par, I still think we are 2 short. Definitely someone to play in the middle too.
  10. Rowett been sacked by oxford
  11. Anlaby Road - there’s a few…I think Viking is the one Ryan & I favour…😉
  12. I've created this now because I just wanted to check / moan about something. I saw yesterday on the Club's twitter page that tickets for this game go off sale today and there will be no sales on the day at Hillsborough, and that purchases are online only. This staggers me even by recent football standards, that tickets are going off sale over 6 days before the game despite there being no chance of a sell out and with them being skint. It seems to be a deliberate attempt to deter people from making a late decision to attend, ignoring that most people will have other things to worry about and spend their money on in the lead up to Christmas and that plenty would like to make a late decision on whether to go, perhaps after the Middlesbrough game. Mind boggling. I was tempted to go but can't commit until later in the week. Looks like the decision has been made for me.
  13. No point him going back into the shadows where hes been operating from for a decade or so, nothing will change. He needs to be front of house and held accountable for his actions, his bosses actions who he represents here and the actions of those he employs. There's NO excuses, as COO THAT is his job otherwise clear off permanently.
  14. His crossing has been really good this season - must pay off having a team of solid coaches around you.
  15. It was answered by the club plants.
  16. Usher ft Alicia Keys - My Boo
  17. I reckon the 3 or 4 Val mentioned wanting in are: RWB - purchase CB - Potentially O’riordan recall. ST - Purchase ST - Loan out: Gueye and Pickering or De Neve
  18. Yeah, and you have all the defenders running back towards their own goal not knowing exactly where their opponents are.
  19. All of them - that's why we're 20th. With this squad and head coach it will be a massive relief if we stay up regardless of which permutation of players we field. (Imo)
  20. We've been in a similar situation before and if they don't put Toth back in it's because they are easing him to the door. Personally i'd give Pears another game or 2 the Toth back in for the New Year, no arguments.
  21. Plus the fact that players like Morishita or Yuki and Dolan last season are next to no use at defending corners. They may as well be on the halfway line occupying an opponent or two. The more players you can get out of the 6 yard box the more chance you have of your goalkeeper defending the corner effectively. I’m sick of seeing keepers trying to make a save on the goal line and failing to keep the ball out. On another point your attacking players are more likely to concede a penalty in those circumstances. Somebody will come up with the idea in a while and it’ll be hailed as a new master stroke.
  22. Today
  23. Rob Key on the radio this morning was deeply unimpressive, stumbling his way through the interview, inarticulate, lack of explanation for the drinking story let alone addressing or showing any understanding of the multiple failures on this tour “…… you know, we’ll have a look at this, you know, the players need time off, you know, maybe it shouldn’t have happened, you know, we’ll have a look at it, you know, we’re disappointed of course, you know, we’ll have a look at this, you know, maybe lessons need to be learnt, you know, we’ll have a look at this, you know, you know, you know… Classic British management, over promoted, out of his depth, not up to the job, probably overpaid, clueless and hopeless P45s for him and McCullum
  24. Look at the teams that are already in the play off zone. How many of them are better than that team ?
  25. Unfortunately, judging by Saturday it's been completely ignored by the vast majority of the match going fanbase too.
