  1. Past hour
  2. That’s true but most strikers would benefit from a bit of support.
  3. He stopped the rot and got going in the right direction eventually.
  4. I had the same thing at a John Fogerty gig at the Manchester Apollo a few years ago. Some idiot sat right behind us was singing the lyrics that loud I couldn’t hear Fogerty. I asked him to pipe down but I was just wasting my breath. My mate was ready to plant him. Luckily there was a few empty seats a row or two further down and we moved.
  5. Norwich can't afford to keep him as he is on "mega wages" with somebody quoting £35K/week on their forum Don't think he will get that much with his next contract (unless it is to sit on the bench in the Premier League), but would imagine he will be very much out of Rovers wage structure
  6. Today
  7. My first game was the already mentioned Bury away promotion night 29th April 1980 aged 11. I was hooked. My first Dingle game was the 27th December 1982 stood on the Bee Hole End with my dad as the away end was full to capacity, what a day that was on and off the field🤣
  8. Tranmere at home 2-2 I’d guess 1990 when I was 6, first away game was also Tranmere away a few months later which I think was 0-0 Remember the ‘yellows’ chants and talking to Bobby Mimms in the warm up
  9. Maybe half the crowd will come back home to Ewood Park…
  10. Accrington Stanley have decided to close their academy. I can't help but think we will see another Lancashire club really struggling to compete in professional football like Morecambe, very soon. Andy Holt seems to have turned the taps off for anything other than keeping the lights on. They've struggled to compete with quite a few National League teams on wages recently, worrying times for their supporters.
  11. I’m asking you because you are the one now being all holier than thou. You shouldn’t be saying anything on managers being quickly sacked with your track record.
  12. Was a regular for them when they got promoted from League 2, then had a knee injury in 2023 that kept him from playing for over a year and then has had issues getting fit since, When he did return this season, he was in a higher division in a relegation battle with not much time to adapt From memory, he also had fitness issues when he was at Rovers also, Suspect a move to League 2 or National League
  13. Contracts I think Ismael has asked that we re-sign the four out of contract to keep a level of consistency in the group. Personally, I would offer Batth and Weimann (once fit) new deals as a priority. I think Forshaw did quite well so a cheap short term deal in addition to someone to push Trav and Sonny would be fine for me also. Dolan and Hedges, though far superior to many of our other players technically, both needed to go. Because neither of them do the actual job they’re paid to. Hedges goal contributions are horrific and we shouldn’t let Dolan’s mini renaissance cloud the fact that he’s stunk most of his 200 games out with flicks and unnecessary extra touches, combined with a lack of end product. Both are hard working, honest players but forwards are paid to effect the final third. See ya. Sales Pears - had his best time for us in the first half of the season and was integral to us being in the top 5. Form tailed off in the new year, won’t wanna play second fiddle. Buckley / JRC - Time is up. Club an manager made their feelings known Hyam - may go if they can’t get him to sign. Assuming we have Batth, Carter and Wharton Pickering - may go, can’t see him wanting to sit behind Ribeiro Free / £1m GK, CB, RB, CM and 2x wide forwards. Any gaps will be filled by U21’s We know from Rudys interview and the last few summers that we will have approx £5m to spend across both windows regardless of what we bring in. So I expect two or three 1m ish fees, a couple of free’s and loans / short term deals. Im still undecided as to whether I will renew. Be the first time I haven’t since Keans last season. Weirdly, Rudys honesty in that interview has completely killed me because I know now, there’s no flippin hope! It’s formulaic. Zero imagination so no point in dreaming, whilst they put the ticket prices up 🙈
  14. Yesterday
  15. Your opinion on Cleverley being sacked is one thing, wishing them to be relegated is another!
  16. As a youth, most things are more vivid - I remember new signings being hugely exciting. In particular, I learnt about Jimmy Corbett signing from Gillingham, I think, and read he was considered the new Ryan Giggs. I wish I could still get so happy about so little!
  17. Glad to hear it Chaddy 👍
  18. Needs to play alongside a target man for me. That's how we will get the best out of him. Hasn't got the equipment to lead the line.
  19. Explained why my opinion changed on Ismael and he proven my opinion was wrong. I can hold my hands when I wrong. You don't asked other members who had similar opinions as me. Why not ask others. You wouldn't tho. I have made my opinion on Watford on Cleverley sacking just like I did with WBA sacking Mowbray far too early in my opinion
  20. You would! We didn't make playoffs cos we didn't pick up enough points. Simple as. We made progress on the pitch this season compare to last. Pass most expectations where they thought we would finish. Pundits all wrong.
  21. You would! It was the players who cost us a chance of the play offs by sulking for six and a half games after Eustace left so I'm not sure why people are queuing up to lavish praise upon them. I think den is the only one who has it right with his appraisal, at the end of the day it was another wasted season in what has become a race against time given the problems presented by the ownership and management.
  22. The Bury home match was my first visit to Ewood - we may have lost, but it was a party atmosphere. Everyone ran on the pitch - with my memory being how sandy it was 🙂
