Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

Is he a Rovers fan? -
United deserved to win that and first time under Amorim they have won back to back league game. Liverpool new signings haven't hit the ground yet apart from Hugo Ekitike. Salah doesn't look the same player. They needed centre back signing in summer didnt get one.

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
Mercer replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
If you can't win when you are playing well just when the feck will you win!?!? A three and a half year contract for a man with Ismael's record is ridiculous - IMO, it stinks. Think Pasha and Gestede, aided and abetted by Ismael have transformed a very decent team that narrowly missed out on the play-offs to a team that will be embroiled in a relegation scrap and are unlikely to come through unscathed. -
Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
Gav replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Has anyone heard from Adan Hussain Blackburns MP on the Venky situation? Jack Straw would have been shouting our plight from the rooftops, I’ve heard nothing from the current Blackburn MP? -
I'm not sure he deserves that much credit, it reminded me a bit of our managers over the years just chucking players on randomly and hoping for the best. Difference is Slot has hundreds of millions of pounds of talent on the bench so you'd expect at least one or two of them to make an impact.
-
I get the feeling both Salah's and Van Dykes legs are gone. Sarah can't move into a centre forward role like Robaldo did, plus Liverpool have a queue for that position. That could be a very expensive contract they shelled out for a last 15mins substitute.
-
Credit to Slot, all the subs made a difference when they came on. Salah seems a shadow of his former self though, Isak and Wirtz haven’t really gotten going yet and I don’t think Slot rates Chiesa enough to start him. Van Dijk was poor today I thought. United, to their credit played well.
-
Four games ago it theoretically looked like all was well for Liverpool but in reality they were only a hairs breadth off making an absolutely abysmal start. Saved by all those injury time goals but now the performances are catching up with them. Caught a bit of today's game and I dont think I've ever seen anything quite like Salah's performance. Never seen such an abject display from such a good player. Not sure what's up with him but if I was Slot I wouldnt be letting him anywhere near the squad until he gets his head in the right place.
-
I said to a Liverpool supporting friend earlier in the season that if I was one of their supporters I'd be worried that they keep having to rely on luck to win, and that if they couldn't address their problems then sooner or later things would turn in the other direction. Fair to say they didn't address their problems and this is the end result. Man United now two points off the top four, lol.
-
Liverpool gone from doing that thing champions do and winning when it looks unlikely to suddenly being unable to pull out a result - which is nice.
-
If Coyle had been sacked a month earlier we would have likely survived. If Ismael was sacked today a new manager will still come in and have almost nothing to work with. I don't think it can be understated how much damage was done this summer with such an insane and suicidal transfer "strategy".

We won't get more than 30 points! There is not enough talent in the squad, made worse by the manager being totally out of his depth!

I think on Tuesday we will find out, how bad we really are!! -
Personally would replace cynical with weary but you are far from being in the minority.
-
The squad had relegation written all over it from the start but even so results and performances have been shocking and even worse than expected. You cannot sell experienced Championship players and replace them with young unknowns from abroad and hope it will work out for the best. It just doesn't work - and neither does hiring a manager with a record of failure Is it by design? Who knows. Gestede and his sidekick need to be quizzed hard if / when they ever deign to meet with fans groups again On another note how significant are those potentially lost 3 points against Ipswich going to be at the end of the season? You also wonder whether that decision has knocked the stuffing out of the players. It shouldn't but Rovers have been abysmal ever since then I don't hold out any hope against Sheffield United and think they will beat us easily.

Again as stated by Glen, legal warning's have been issued by the Club? This is what we are up against. -
I certainly think there was some legs in the rumour, someone maybe suggesting or pushing to sideline the usual stuff or tone it down. Otherwise where did it suddenly arise from and why for once were the club so quick to react ? They obviously knew what was coming across social media it's like they were stood next to the campfire with extinguisher in hand.

Probably is the goal, but why? What’s the point of any of this? -
Exactly this, people who know me know I love the game but I grow more and more cynical. I was a season ticket holder as a kid in the 2000s and looking back at family pictures I have some great memories following Rovers since I was tiny - FA Cup Semi Finals in 2005 and 2007, beating Burnley in 2009 at Ewood. You go nowadays and it's a husk of what was.

Of course its by design. The goal here is to be a league one club with 90% academy players as the first team squad with a few cheap foreign punts to compliment them. Much cheaper to run a nothing league one club that'd even more outnof the spotlight than even a bottom send second tier club. I thought it would be the season after next we would go (with majority of contracts ending in 2027) but it looks like they will get there wish a year earlier. Fair play, the one plan they will have hit there target early. -

He's probably already running it from his bunker somewhere via Suhail of course. The stuff that's happened recently is straight out of Football Manager or the Moneyball film and if Daddy, Uncle, Grandad and most importantly Granny say it's his was of the highway the lemmings being paid will all jump. Regardless of where the club ends up. -
At least in Coyle's time you got the feeling if they changed the manager we would get safe (they did but it was too late) Pep wouldn't get a tune out of this grp of players I fear.

Far more concerned with what is happening on the Pitch Chaddy tbh. Even if we do manage to win,its going to be nothing more than a season of survival, worry and frustration.
