Hugely concerned by today. Ismael doesn't seem to have us set up particularly well from a defensive point of view and Coventry are scoring by the bucket load. Really think we are in for an embarrassing afternoon. Would absolutely cripple the confidence of some our new boys. -

All four were far, far better in their respective positions than anyone currently. And this was a 3rd Division side -

If they've gone for plain white it's probably just because it's by far the cheapest option. Suhail has been to both Grays and Whittakers and bought every white polo they have, then a few hundred iron-on crosses for a tenner from Temu. Few late nights ironing and jobs a good'un, seventy quid a go. Would love to have egg on my face as always with this club, would love them to unveil a work of art and I'll queue up to buy it, but I can't see it happening -

Have a strange feeling we might surprise a few today and only lose by 1 or 2 goals. -

Manure are in a real mess.. Doesn't matter how much they spend or who they sign or who the manager is---they can't seem to break out of this long period of decline. I don't think he'd advance his career by going there. Quite the contrary in fact. I'd hope Liverpool would go for him if he wants to move back home. Somehow he doesn't seem their sort of player though. City?

Oxford v Derby at lunch, whilst a draw puts us back in the bottom 3 I feel it would be the best result for us

It was our only home defeat of the season that. It virtually ended Jimmy's career that too and he was flying, before that. -

And mixed into that are some of the most deprived wards in England where people just cannot afford or justify football matches. Anyway 1200+ going today, near the bottom, £30 plus per ticket, no pay on the day etc. Respectable if not great and actually represents 10% of the current home support which stacks up to anybody outside the big city clubs. And they know defeat is probably imminent... Cov 3 Rovers 1 -

I remember in my earlier years running the line at Bradford and I was in the far side. Behind me (before it was seated) were the Hartlepool fans who took great umbrage at one of my decisions. The next thing I felt something hit me on the back of my head and got a whiff of the unmistakable aroma of a meat and potato pie. The gloopy insides were dripping off my hair and running down my back. It's strange but I've never really fancied a meat and potato pie since then. 😂 -

Remember it well. The challenge which broke Mullen’s leg was arguably the worst I’ve ever seen. The referee was Mr Baker from Rugby, he later became a vicar, and was certainly forgiving that day the Peterborough player wasn’t even booked -
Then he hardly played for Palace and drifted out of the game.
