Shearer could have scored goals in any side. Watch some of our matches from 95-96 back. Multiple rabbits pulled out of the hat. -

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas
davulsukur replied to DuffsLeftPeg's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Didn't take long this season but it's back to being an absolute chore supporting this club. That's not what it's supposed to be like. We desperately need Venky's to sell, I'm totally fed up with this shit. The club needs a complete restart/rebuild under new ownership, one that actually has the best interests of the club at heart. Venky's Out! -
Too many seeing rovers as an opportunity to fastrack their KOREA'S , With no genuine affiliation or interest in the club's rich heritage
-
He was a 1 trick pony that was quickly found out in a game, he'd then fade out of the game completely. Now he doesn't even attempt to use his pace and has become incredibly lazy.

Great. I'd love multiple postponed/abandoned games so the EFL have a nightmare with scheduling. Might encourage some sanctions -

I like him. Decent defensively and likes to attack and put in dangerous crosses. Works hard, doesn't shirk tackles or commitments. No cover that comes remotely close to replacing his attributes if he's injured or suspended though.

If you are not going chase the ball down when you lose it then you shouldn’t wear the shirt. Thats the basics we expect from our players, don't get me started on his ability because he is way off a Championship footballer - Today

Another lazy trope to throw out there to hide the fact our strikers aren't good enough. Look at the side a couple of years ago, nearly as bad as this one but we had a genuine finisher up front who could score goals. We don't score goals because our forward players aren't very good. -
Absolute dog shit.

I dont recall many people being excited by his appointment other than the usual 2 or 3 suspects. -

As I said when he first signed. Barnsley fans didn't rate him. People were excited - I absolutely dreaded this appointment. Yet to be proven wrong on that unfounded initial euphoria from a lot of people who were so excited with his 1 season wonder in the COVID season. -
2025 Summer Transfer Thread. 😂
JHRover replied to Upside Down's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The owners and their stooges have been 'building' for relegation since the summer of 2023 when they decided they weren't going to support Broughton and JDT and then actively undermined them both by drastically slashing an already limited budget in the middle of the summer. It was only through a combination of good management by JDT and Eustace, and having the remnants of a good Championship side (Hyam, Travis, Brittain, Szmodics, Dolan, Batth) that we've kept ourselves afloat, although, again due to mismanagement they nearly managed relegation from nowhere in 2024. Now they've dealt with both of those issues - forced out the good managers who could overachieve and replaced with a highly questionable manager and dismantled the remains of that solid squad - so we are back on track. If it isn't a deliberate plan to relegate us it is at least recklessness and gross negligence. -

We will be handed our arses on this one. Robins V Ismael, no contest and I could formulate a plan to beat Rovers myself right now, with the players Stoke will have at their disposal, irrespective of our line up. At least a 2 goal defeat and I think the crowd will turn. -

At least you have been clear in your response regarding Ismael. They arent knee jerk reactions, certainly on the manager whose record of 6 wins, 3 draws and 11 losses is really poor. What have you seen that makes you think he is the man to take us forward? Obviously he isnt the main problem, we have a squad massively downgraded and full of players that clearly arent good enough, having lost a number of key players. Kargbo, De Neve, Henriksson, Tavares, an AWOL Baradji, perhaps Miller and Gudjohnsen, we have totally blown apart a good defence and still struggle to score goals. It all comes from the owners and then idiots like Suhail, Gestede and Owen running the club on their behalf. Would you agree that all 3 need to go? -
Does it? I didn’t know that.

You’ve just predicted us to beat Stoke 2-1 on Saturday?? We need to score two goals for your prediction! He has no quality whatsoever. Downgrade on Markandy and that says it all. The only asset Kargbo has is pace, yet he jogged back watching last night. If he had used his one asset he could have gone some way to preventing that goal. He can’t cross, shoot, tackle. Pointless signing. -

It's now a lethal combination, of the dross we have signed, together with a poor manager. Given the start Ismael had with last years squad, I had made my mind up early about him, but he did at least turn that around. The chances of him turning this around now are pretty remote, hence the return of W2 D0 and lost 6 counting the league cup loss that is, which does count in my book. -
Doesn't make much difference, but he has two assists rather than one. One against Plymouth at Ewood for Dolan last season, and one against Hull for Hedges this season. A rubbish footballer who's main asset is meant to be his pace. He has looked slower than me this season.

We don't talk about Kargbo, no, no, no, We don't talk about Kargbo! Tough start to his Rovers career for the Sierra Leonean. 6 starts, 10 substitute appearances. zero goals, two assists. Confidence in the gutter, another costly mistake last night. Is he Semir Telalovic 2.0?
