  1. Past hour
  2. But you have actually chosen to read the Adam Wharton thread!
  3. not yet? its 3 games in and the owners are backing Parkinson with more money for signings. Yes they putting together good squad which will need time to gel so why on earth would you sack Parkinson after 3 promotions in 3 seasons. Their owners seem very loyal and I don't see them sacking him if they don't go up.
  4. No need to change the starting XI after yesterday, but hopefully we see a couple of new faces on the bench to be able to freshen things up. Rovers 1 - 1 Norwich. Cantwell to score for the third game on the spin, against his old club.
  5. Its was more than 3 games but I admitted I was wrong. How more times do you want to say FFS! Yes we all now about their owners and they have backed Phil Parkinson every way. The championship isn't an easy league and this is different to league 1 or 2 which their owners actually did understand.
  6. Yes when he does have the ball he's magic but too often he hides. If he wants to be a top player he needs to get the game by the scruff of the neck
  7. Yes, I would say he looks a prospect. I think he is still just about 16 but regularly playing in the 21's which is obviously a huge leap in terms of experience, relative strength etc. His body shape is nothing like his dad's. He is more a Buckley or Adam Wharton type. He plays very much in that style too; just in front of the back four, playing on the half turn with nice, crisp passing and decent vision. He is confident, despite his youth. I imagine he would possess his dad's unshakeable self belief when playing in his own age group. He has a good engine. Very early days obviously but definitely one to watch.
  8. The notion that Suhail 'what else can we cut' Pasha is stretching the budget beyond its capacity, especially after the obscene amount of transfer fees received in recent years, is a strange take to me.
  9. The more i think about it the more the theory of massive borrowings in India secured against land and serviced by the clubs income and VH group subsidies the more it makes sense. Needs paying down every now and then as it approaches tipping point hence fire sales/constant budget reduction but it's impossible for them to sell for less than 100 million plus because they'll be liable for the difference in sale price and owing's and it'll suddenly become due if the club is sold....or goes bust. Hence the need for life support and accepting no other investors or due diligence etc. Makes way more sense than some of the other stuff regarding criminal behaviour and tax evasion etc as the 'Bollywood Billionaires' as they were once described would be left extremely red faced if it came to light the 1/200 million they've 'invested' and blown into thin air is actually a gargantuan loan !!!!
  10. Norwich play 3-4-2-1 formation so it will be interesting how we set up tactically without the ball Team selection has to be the same after yesterday excellent win away at Hull
  11. We need a win it's as simple as that getting as many home wins as possible will see us safe by May. Is this another Cat A because Norwich might bring more than one thousand ?
  12. Did he not play two key passes in the goal. Palace fans still fawning over him.
  13. They won't get rid of Pasha, as he's their "enforcer" and puppet. They have no interest whether we live or die, we are an irrelevance now. They were excited for a couple of minutes, but that soon wore off off once the dark lord got his teeth into us and the dickhead was appointed manager. It's as if they are punishing the club/town and fans for not giving them more reverence. But you earn respect. We have none to give, so we are in an impasse. We bring nothing to their table, so the 100,000,000 rupee question, is why they stay? It's the one question to which only they have the answer, but when you are a petulant child, you will be continually punished, with little hope of rehabilitation. We are that petulant child sadly.
  14. Wonder if this guy stood out for Legia when we were scouting Kapuadi and came onto the radar that way.
  15. I never said that they should sack him. Not yet. But the idea that he just gets the season regardless of results is ludicrious. In the lower leagues (along with Birmingham in League 1) they had a budget that meant that they had a team far above the quality of the rest so it was quite an easy job. Different job here, they do have a good squad that they are putting together but there are lots of similarly strong teams. He shouldnt just get a season at it purely on goodwill. I would personally sack Potter because hes been at West Ham for a bit now and there have been no signs that he is the man for the job. Watford were also correct IMO to sack Cleverley or at least justified. Their form in the second half of the season was the worst in the league.

  17. The thing is, no one has actually had the bollocks to say exactly what Travis is meant to have done wrong. Has he refused to play? He happily played the West Brom game and was on the bench against Bradford. It just plants seeds which is enough to turn some fans against the departing players. You are still naively thinking that Travis is leaving purely out a strong desire to work for Eustace again. Had we offered a proper wage to him then I am sure that he would have stayed. There is too much of a pattern but the club clearly dont want us to focus on that. There is a reason why we havent got any players to sign a new deal in so long. The irony is that Gestede himself refused to play to engineer a move when here. Your refusal to comment on the minutes add to mine and many others assumptions that you are incredibly reluctant to criticise the club. You are also very big on communication. You dismiss the unprofessional method of using a anonymous twitter handle to do so, and refuse to comment entirely on Suhail and co literally amending minutes as to what was said with fans to try and make the club look better.
  18. Good luck to the lad but please stop fawning over a player who no longer wears our Shirt.
  19. Yes, he qualifies as being a Japanese player 😉
  20. If he joins, we'll have to learn his name fairly quickly USA or someone will no doubt take offence to us referring to him as "the Japanese lad". 😆
  21. Today
  22. evertons new ground seems to lacking the the goodison park atmosphere, evertons fans really quiet
  23. Not quite the proverbial "must win" game but even at this very early stage, this game could have a huge bearing in shaping the early part of the season. Win and we've somehow turned what was looking like a catastrophe into a fairly useful start. Draw and it's a bit "meh". Lose and it's still a bad start despite the great performance yesterday. So far under Ismael we've been unable to get a result when it really matters. Over to you lads.........
  24. You were publicly stating Ismael should have been sacked after not much more than 3 games into his tenure here last season. You seem to have totally flipped on that view now. The owners of Wrexham have ambition, so they won't be keeping a struggling manager out of gratitude or loyalty, or because he's done a good job up to now. That sort of investment they will want and expect more than a relegation danger so if things don't pick up I bet he will be in trouble. This isn't amateur football where you let someone carry on in the job because its the nice or right thing to do. It's only at places like Rovers (that go nowhere and achieve nothing) where individuals and nice men get to carry on regardless of performance and results.
  25. Japanese lad looks good on the video , but when do they not. I like Jaoanese players they almost all seem full of energy and attack first seems to be the mind set. Could be fun watching him and Ohashi in the same team. Hope the refs can give him better protection than they do Yuri.
  26. I said I was wrong on Ismael and admitted I was wrong, publicly. I can admitted my mistakes. I still think Watford were wrong for sacking Cleverly and I stand by that. Its 3 games into the season and yet you are totally sacking head coaches from their roles. Parkinson and Wrexham have made a number of signings and it will take time to settle there. Their owners are still backing Parkinson and rightly so given what he has achieve there.
