  1. Past hour
  2. I don’t see a goalscorer there.
  3. Starting Carter feels very risky given he broke down after 40 minutes in the first pre-season friendly vs Accrington, was subsequently ruled out for over a month and hasn't played any minutes in the league yet. Another note is that our cover in central midfield on the bench looks like a joke; a kid who's not ready for Championship football and a last-minute loan from a league rival who has played one minute this season.
  4. I am willing to accept that some of the new players will come good, and in a couple of cases, given time, they may even end up being better than who they replaced. but there has certainly been another reduction in what wages we are paying
  5. If Carter lasts more than a half I'll be impressed. The boy is held together by tape and string. Pleased to see Mori starts. Always felt it would be too soon for Gudjohnsen given the lack of training he's had with the team so no surprise him on the bench. Generally that side is probably as good as we can muster up at the moment. Tavares in the middle is a worry though, seems far too casual, but I suppose he'll only be able to really change that with game time and experience at this level.
  6. You can see the downgrade across the squad there: Hyam > Carter Batth > Wharton Brittain > Alebiosu Travis > Tavares Dolan = Morishita (unknown at this point) Hedges now a starting player.
  7. There is inflation to think about. But I get your point.
  8. Lancs robbed of any chance by crazy scheduling and a terrible decision by Sue Redfearn to give Livingstone out
  9. Honestly that's not a bad bench, Montgomery aside. Carter and Wharton hasn't been a good starting CB pair in the past though, hopefully they are both a bit more experienced and wiser now.
  10. Lancs lose by 23 runs, including an absolutely diabolical umpiring decision to give Livingstone out. If only we had the 6 starters that are missing. I genuinely hope it rains for the next two days and the competition is a wash out. It's what the ECB deserves.
  11. Pears spotted, someone check out his haircut
  12. Morishita, Wharton & Carter start Gudjohnsen, Gardner-Hickman & Pears on the bench
  13. We'll have to sell the whole team to pay that.
  14. I will be pleasantly surprised if we avoid conceding first 20 minutes 😉
  15. Oxford leading against 10 man Leicester is far from ideal
  16. Today
  17. “What's that smell in this room? Didn't you notice it, Brick? Didn't you notice a powerful and obnoxious odor of mendacity in this room? There ain't nothin' more powerful than the odor of mendacity. You can smell it. It smells like death. Tennessee Williams
  18. I think we have been badly let down by local radio and press..
  19. Cliff Richard - Wired For Sound
  20. I will be pleasantly surprised if we avoid defeat !
  21. Why would we need to chuck in a goal-scorer, into our prolific team ?
  22. Iv'e often wondered how many advisers and consultants are on the payroll.
  23. Ohashi has never played on the wing before. Ismael suggested that with Gudjohnsen adjusting to the league and having only trained once, that he is unlikely to need to be chucked in like Henriksson was.
  24. The wage bill stated in the accounts staying roughly the same over the past 5 years (£25.5M give or take £200K apart from the 21/22 season when it was £24.3M), despite obvious cuts to the playing staff would indicate that something is not as it seems
  25. Surely they couldn't be diverting wages from the football squad into the non playing staff whilst keeping the overall costs the same ? Could they .......
