Championship Season 25-26
KentExile replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Obviously he wasn't nearly as shit (*), but I always thought that Souness was teetering on the verge of the sack when Newcastle paid us compensation to take him to the North East * Souness was great for us in the most part but did seem to be self destructing and falling out with everyone just before he left -
It’s great isn’t it. I watched the game also, that’s Hearts side is inspirational and for a club in turmoil not that long ago, it’s gives us hope of change once the rats sod off. Im at Ibrox several times from here on in, but even I have a piece of me that wants Hearts to win it.

Our noisy neighbours are 10 points behind the drop zone line with Forest and West Ham both winning. The Fat Lady is getting dressed I think. -
Why step forward and deal with the Chicken Chokers when there are dozens of other clubs with less intransigent owners ?

1.1 point per game extrapolated over a 46 game season is 50.6 -

I dont think 50 points will be needed to stay up this season, which is a good job because we aren't getting there with this bloke. -

The winner was a great strike by Cunha.

Excellent post. There’s plenty of fair debate on here, and the narrative that opposite views aren’t tolerated is nonsense. I can’t help thinking there’s a few posters on here in the last 24 hours desperate for some personal namecalling or an OTT rebuke so they can run back over the road and cry how nasty we are.

v Hull City (h) - 31/1/26

Whenever these two play it has been a nightmare for the home side in recent seasons. Incredibly Hull will be playing us with very realistic expectations of challenging for an automatic promotion spot. All I can see are the biggest thugs in our division.. We have gone 210 minutes without letting a goal in against the Tigers- another 100 minutes or so of clean sheet would be very welcome. -

Hopefully Leicester use the same data metrics that we do which all apparently showed Ismael to be by far "the outstanding candidate". Get shut of the useless twonk and 2.5 years compo on top. If Carlsberg did approaches.............. -

Hull's last six away results Won at Preston Won at Southampton Won at Middlesbrough Drew at Sheffield Wednesday Won at Millwall Won at Stoke Scored 13 in the process I suppose they are due to lose and we can draw hope from them failing to beat Wednesday? -

they must have fallen out with val or gestede both of them are better than what we currently have in that position,it`s stupid not to involve them when we are in the relegation zone -

Maybe they are trying to offload both, and the first taker that they got was some foreign team for Ribeiro? Both are superfluous to the current system, and bizarrely, even when we played a back 4 yesterday we did so without a left back on the pitch -

I agree, except for the part about us being able to guarantee minutes because we have no bugger else. We are about to have 3 fit forwards, one was in excellent form until injury, another we just supposedly paid about 3 million for (won't be tons less given what Glimt paid in the summer) and one who has been pretty much an ever present. We may have just switched formation so that only one of them can play as a striker at a time. We could and may well do our Cashin thing of guaranteeing minutes at cost of financial penalty, but we are in a relegation battle so we really shouldn't. -

Huh, I always figured it was going to be Pickering leaving. Seems to have played less, at least recently, is a higher earner, and is allegedly one of the ones who stood up to Gestede for his bullying behaviour. The rest are all gone. -
Tearing myself away from the drama going on at work, to something more important.....I think you are more forgiving than me Ian, and probably rightly so. That said I will argue the toss all day long if it is done in good faith, but I'm not sure that's going on in this case. And I find the "we know what's really going on" implied (not by you, by the Gooseberry) not helpful at all. As for the wider point, I didn't feel that the boycott was likely to be very successful, because we have a rather pliant hardcore of fans who even in the Steve Kean dog days just shuffled on by when other were calling for change. But once hardworking good folk wanted to give it a go, I am all for it. I've been missing games for two seasons now, so not a great sacrifice for me, but something has to be done because my support is dangling by a thread right now.
