  1. Past hour
  2. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Travis go. But I don’t think Henriksson signing has any bearing on his future.
  3. Don't add Mowbray into that list. He only left because he wasn't offered a new contract. He was more than happy to plod along topping up his pension doing fuck all and being a shield for the owners. Constantly down playing expectations, scoffing at the slightest suggestion of ambition and just generally disrespecting the club and it's fans. Fuck him. Absolute twat.
  4. Yeah in terms of current numbers the one definitely on his way out is Buckley if we can find someone to take him. That said I'll be very surprised if both Travis and Tronstad are here on 1st September. I am pretty sure someone will come in with an offer which we cant turn down in the context of their last year of contract.
  5. We don't sign players to compete, much less spend 6-7 figure sums on them. We sign players to play. We don't want a squad we want a first XI with the bench made up of low cost loans and youngsters who can step in when needed. I would be amazed if we spent money on players to come in and challenge those already here.
  6. We do two a season usually. One in the summer and then another one in February after the manager has finally escaped his bonds of servitude.
  7. Quite happy to sacrifice my own if need be
  8. Why? Axel will compete with Cantwell. He’s an attacking midfielder who is aggressive and strong in the press. Perfect for VI. Travis, Tronstad and Taveres then compete for the defensive midfield role with Montgomery and Forshaw as back up. I would argue if Baradj came in then maybe one of them would have to leave. But Forshaw isn’t going to get games and Montgomery seemingly will be more utilised at RB. So 4 CMs competing for those 2 spots behind the advanced midfielder seems healthy.
  9. Potential. Could have said the same a few years back when we kept sending Wharton and Carter on loan, before becoming important members of the squad, He's still only 20, seems to be some sort of myth these days that 20/21 year olds should be ready to slot straight into first teams. This route is needed for many players before they become ready, he might never be Championship ready, but a season of League 2 and then followed up with one in League 1 certainly won't hurt and we can assess it next summer. Especially with us being well covered in that position at the min.
  10. But of course this page is still blank
  11. Something has to give with this Axel signing. Travis or Tronstad are gone I'm sure of it.
  12. Sheff Utd flog Ahmedozdic for 15.6m to Feyernoord
  13. I don't think the government regulate the EFL as government interference in running football is against FIFA and UEFA rules. Also the local MP is not a member of the government.
  14. We all miss the bully boys Hughes era πŸ₯°
  15. Yeah so just rebuilding a team for a new head coach. I think we need to differentiate here what we mean by 'plan' as in a club plan to reset, invest and aim for something over a 3 year period versus a head coach just planning his team for the next 12 months after being handed half a squad due to exits. There is one but there certainly isn't the other, who would bet against another coach doing the same thing here by next summer ?
  16. Spoke about how we can't let what happened with Nyambe,Lenihen and Rothwell happen again and we needed to be more proactive with contracts . who did he tie down to ensure the same didn’t happen?
  17. Henriksson and Miller for reasons I don't even fully understand are signings I feel really positive about. Mainly because they seem like the types that hate to get beat, are physical & aggressive. You definitely need characters like that in the championship.
  18. Apparently, we want to send Batty out on loan, no idea why we signed him back up in the first place.
  19. When Broughton was appointed he spoke of the clubs plans and long term vision. Spoke about how we can't let what happened with Nyambe,Lenihen and Rothwell happen again and we needed to be more proactive with contracts . 12 months after Broughton and JDTs arrival that went out the window and here we are now having let our most experienced and better players get into their final year of their contracts. The only plan here is to spend as little as possible and hopefully put a squad together that won't get relegated
  20. That's exactly what it is and India isn't bothered as long as the hassle to them is limited to a couple of meetings per year and costs are kept to the bottom line. The malaise we had under Bowyer and a lot of TM's tenure backs this up where doing just enough was enough but that isn't ambitious enough for young head coaches hence the problems once they see how the club works. It's a complete gravy train though for a couple of directors and no doubt some advisers/agents.
  21. So the plan is to not even bother trying to tie down our key, proven Championship players. But instead to replace by players abroad for six figure fees. Suppose it is a plan of sorts. Isnt it 5 signings. Tavares, McLoughlin, De Neve, Miller, Alebiosu.
  22. Ocean Colour Scene - Foxy's Folk Faced
  23. When, not if One has already gone, & I would be astounded if either of the other 2 are here for the start of next season
  24. Jimi Hendrix- Foxy Lady
