[Archived] Vinjay's Latest Rant

For those that don't know. "Vinjay" was banned from posting on the message board some time ago, not for sharing his opinions, but for repeatedly breaking the posting guidlines to do so. From time to time he still email us stuff and whilst I'm far from agreeing with what he's saying, I figure it's only fair to share.

I'll be e-mailing this to the mods at BRFCS and members on the official

board. No doubt it will be posted and removed by Williams stooge Lee Grooby

but this is intended for public distribution. Yes I'm openly admitting

spamming but it has to be done as I'm not entitled to an opinion anywhere

else.

Some important things to say. Hope I don't overshadow the highly important

Burnley v PNE thread on the BRFCS site. Or the topic about the drummers

which is obviously more important than the club falling further into a

seemingly bottomless abyss.

After another pathetic league performance this past weekend (in the biggest

game of the season against the club Jack Walker disliked more than any

other...the current players couldn't care less about Jack) Blackburn Rovers

have now slipped to 15th in the table. Well it looks like the same old

pattern is emerging. I said it would but you wouldn't listen. Star player

gets sold as usual and the club slips down the league. As for the UEFA run

it's an improvement but we shouldn't expect anything less against Polish and

Swiss clubs. Naturally after the United defeat David Cameron...I mean Mark

Hughes put a positive spin on the situation as usual.

Williams must have reprimanded Hughes over the Beckham link recently. Surely

that's showing too much ambition for Williams liking. I actually consider it

a possibility as the club is strong enough to appeal to Beckham. Of course

fans prefer to put the club and town in the same context openly mocking the

2 process. You wonder why attendances are dropping. Keep putting the club

down. It's people like me who actually talk highly of the club (I dislike

those running it) who are portrayed as the bad guys. Jack Walker built this

club into what it is and to do what Lucas Neill is doing is a blatant slap

in the face to his memory. Tim Sherwood, Graeme Le aux got booed. Why are

Rovers fans being such a soft touch when it comes to Neill? Because like I

said Rovers fans have gone soft.

Jack wanted the club to think big and that's beyond the comprehension of

Rovcers fans and especially our liar of a chairman. Yet when Rovers bare

linked with Beckham fans openly put the club...the club what Jack BUILT

down. Burnley v Preston is much more important than doing something about

Williams. I'm sure Man City fans get highly excited when Stockport meet

Oldham. Or Everton/Liverpool when Tranmere meet...well whoever's closest

apart from those 2. I would check up on it but it's not really that

important. Just as its unimportant for Rovers fans to do anything about

Williams when he lies about finances (transfer funds won't drop) and release

clauses. I'll give you links but no doubt you have already seen them and

made your choice...which was to do nothing as per usual.

I would call for you to voice your outrage against Williams on Sunday but

that's too much to hope for. Villa fans demonstrated against Ellis (look at

the fantastic start they have had with their new owner) but Rovers fans

refuse to do anything about Williams. Even if Rovers slip to another defeat

this weekend you will justbe like...damn...we'll be back next time! Well

something has to be done in the present. Speak out against Williams. He

won't be able to censor it like he censored the Telegraph column Revidge

Blue wote. His yes men like Gerald "04-05 was a good season in the end"

Jackson won't be able to do anything about it. The only people who can do

something about Williams are the fans. The Walkers won't sack him...I expect

they wouldn't recognise him if they walked past each other in the street.

David Dunn being linked with the club again. Yes once again the club is

thinking on a local scale rather than a national scale. Yes Dunn's a local

boy so let's sign ghim. What about the fact he's practically a cripple. Who

cares let's sign him because he's a local boy. Small town (actually isn't

Blackburn a big town?) small minds. Let's forget that he's overweight,

frequents nightclubs seemingly every night and handed in a transfer request

because he loved the club so much. He's a local boy though so soft touch

Rovers fans will let him back without incident.

Oh and congratulations to BRISA. Only took about 5 months to actually get

round to doing the AGM. Another one this month? Well try not to do too much.

Quote taken from the recent minutes...November 3rd meeting. I didn't attend

the meeting as i doubt I would be able to restrain myself listening to

Williams lies.

"While the BRFC board are responsible to the shareholders, the board also

has a duty of care to its stakeholders, the fans. The board while charged

with finding new investment would take a view on whether or not new

investment in the club would be in the club’s best interests.

Well of course it would be in the fans best interests. The Walkers are far

too coimmitted. Look at how many matches they have attended. They are nearly

bankrupting themselves with their 600 million. The club needs more

investment to move forward and it's not going to come from the Walkers.

After all they only have a paltry 600 million...or is that 680? I can accept

waiting for more investment but Williams could be gone within a matter of

weeks if Rovers fans stopped being so lazy and content with mediocrity. You

would think Jack's family would want to give something back to the club

after everything Jack did for them. They are happy to sit on his fortune but

not to show him any appreciation by7 helping his club recover from this

nightmare situation they are in.

As for the recent praise over slashed ticket prices Williams is only doing

it because of the crowd figures. It's not generosity. Ir Rovers were selling

out Ewood every week would he have done it then? No. Probably would have

affected his next pay rise wouldn't it? If he was really that generous why

couldn't he do it against Man Utd a game that wa slikely to attract a higer

attendance. Why do it for a match against the likes of Bolton?

Usually I would end this with a plea for Rovers fans to do something about

Williams. I expect it will go on deaf ears as usual. One day in the future

though you might be regretting that you hadn't done somthing...before it's

too late.

Vinjay

I'm sure he'll still be reading the board and will welcom your opinions.

In fairness - you do raise some interesting points Vinjay - but then shoot yourself in the foot in other places. So Rovers fans are too lazy to do anything about Williams? Then you go on to say you didn't go to the BRISA AGM as you "doubt you would be able to restrain yourself listening to Williams lies"

I'm not happy with us being mediocre either - but I think we're actually doing pretty well on a limited budget. We're in a bad patch - but we'll come through it.

Whilst Vinjay is obviously turning into Inspector Clousea’s boss, this stood out, although I’m not sure of the validity of the quote:

"While the BRFC board are responsible to the shareholders, the board also has a duty of care to its stakeholders, the fans. The board while charged with finding new investment would take a view on whether or not new investment in the club would be in the club’s best interests.”

I’d be interested in knowing how the search for new investment was going. Have we made any inroads? Anyone interested? How are we going about this? Has anyone actually rang Bill Gates? Of course I appreciate that we probably shouldn’t be privy to this information but all we hear at regular intervals is that the club is looking for new investment and that's where it ends.

I guess that it's an interesting point for debate:

Is there a possibility that the club is an attractive enough proposition to bring a large enough new investment to make the team competitive again at the highest level?

I guess that I (and maybe quite a few other supporters) have settled into a mindset which says that this isn't realistic and that we will always be a small club struggling to punch above our weight.

The lack of people coming to watch the team at Ewood even when we're doing well indicates to me that we wouldn't look like a good investment to any person/corporation with enough cash to take us to a higher level.

Like Bob Fleming says though, without knowing how much effort is being put in to attracting new investment, it is difficult to tell what is going on. One thing that does worry me in these post Jack times is how difficult it is to get any proper info about the finances of the club and how decisions are taken by the mysterious board of trustees. I guess this was one of my hopes for BRISA, that maybe we could somehow get a bit more clarity about where the Rovers are financially these days.

He should be allowed to post on here again as long as he sticks to the guidelines. It's supposed to be a public messageboard .

Yes, but the problem was that he hijacked almost every thread with the same anti-Walker stuff. I don't think he would have been banned if he had kept these views to the relevant thread.

Looks as though John isn't the only one off Vinjay's Christmas Card listing.

There was me wondering why Groobs never won half of these polls that are created on the messageboard.

Now we know!!

Well Vinjay, in relation to this messageboard............

You're like Coronation Street on a Thursday, you're simply not fecking on!!!!

Come back when you turn 16 and maybe you might start to speak a bit of sense.

He was ace fun at the start - just wind him up and watch him go. But after his 177363 thread about the Walkers bringing down the world it just became tiresome and the ignore button became a must.

Sad little world you live in Vinjay

I quite enjoyed reading that to be honest. It was something different at least.

Although, it must be said I find his (your (if you are reading)) views rather sensational.

Firstly, by booing Lucas Neill we would run the risk of weakening an already shaky defence. Exactly, where Micky gray left his defending brain over the summer I do not know. Neill, like Bellamy, will be punished when he realises the grass isn't always greener on the otherside.

Secondly, start a revolt against Williams?? That is rather O.T.T. I can't think of more than one reason to doubt Mr. Williams.

Thirdly, your comments about Dunn could be attributed to a certain Mr. Bellamy 15 months ago. He did ok and netted us a reasonable profit over a 12 month period. We need a centre midfielder and in January Dunn will be about the best we can get.

Nevertheless, an interesting read.

Dare I say it, that I think he has a point about the small-town mindset, and that we need to think on a national and not just local scale to survive in the longterm - don't ask me how though, that's up to the board and PR dept.

I also agree with his view on Dunn, getting him back because he's local is null and void, unless he can prove his fitness and his determination to Hughes and co, then fair enough, but if not, I wouldn't bother.

I managed to avoid Vinjay's polemics when he was a free man on here so could someone tell me how he thinks John Williams is holding this club back?

BTW: What was so controversial about Rev's columns that JW chose the extreme action of censoring them.

ta!

Bring him back! The more nutters on here the livelier it is! :D

Totally agree.

As usual, some interesting and humously made points (e.g. Man City being obsessed by Stockport vs Oldham) tend to be overshadowed by some ill-thought out lines of argument. But it's good for someone to be mentioning the elephant in our kitchen - we are owned by people who aren't interested enough to come and watch. I made it to the Bolton game, so where were they??? Abramovich made it up to Ewood on a crappy night to watch his team in their 4th priority competition. Bloody foreigners.

Ahh, but who'd want to buy a provincial club with small crowds? See what a disaster it's been for Pompey with their new and more interested ownership?? On another thread, our Malta-based accountant tells us that after the new Sky deal kicks in, we will be among the 25 richest footy clubs in the world, yet the Pavlovian response to Vinjay's argument is we're too small!

Let him back, and use 'ignore' if he bothers you that much.

Anyway, back to wondering if PNE will come up....

Freedom of speech must be allowed

Freedom of speech is one thing but when you keep giving the same speech over and over again, no one wants to listen

Vinjay does make good points but when he actively refuses efforts made to meet with him and placate him then he does undermine himself. If he truely wanted to know answers then this would be far more preferable than the fans protest which would keep him annonymous.

<_< How do you know they weren't there? Do you expect them to sit with labels on so that you know they are there? Actually Jack's daughter and some others usually attend matches and rarely miss. And don't forget, the Trust owns the club, not the Walkers.

(I've been dying to use this sign, here's my chance :wstu::P )

I don't know how you can have a moan at JW for the bellamy sale, it was a clause in his contract! As for not trying to bring in big name players, i think if that was the case i think hughes would have left by now.

The boost at villa has not been due to a new board but as with most clubs a change of manager and coaching staff.

If your looking for a person to blame for the bad start look no further than hughes. He hasn't got enough cover but also we have been very unlucky with the volume of injuries.

Leave JW alone and go and find us a multi billionaire.

Fine by me as long as people dont quote him like i have you. I dont want to read the crap that he writes so I would put him on ignore (and I havnt read his rant just the reaction as I wanted to know if he was being allowed back)
